Respect to Chinni for being so honest and transparent. In the West, trans issues are much more complex and political (radicalised). Eastern/Dharmic roots of Thailand make these social issues much more 'normal' and easy to live with.

So, as a transwoman living in India. The process of getting hormone is really difficult here. As, the individual have to get a GID letter from psychiatrist then visit an endocrinologist, they will write a prescription. But as transgender community is still seen as a taboo thing in India. It becomes really difficult to get GID letter. And one more thing, even in Thailand there are some conflicts over transgenders and ladyboys. As, transgenders there don't really like others calling them ladyboy.

Most trans women in Thailand don't mind sometimes jokingly calling themselves ladyboys as well. However, ppl shouldn't call an unfamiliar trans woman this way, it may not sound very respectful i think
