anytime you see lettering like that with the little dome reflectors, its old and definitely worth something to someone. old school stop signs were yellow and had that type of reflectors on it

The GoPro is overheating because it is recording faster than what the memory card can write, it generally happens if you use a slower memory card. Try to use a faster one and see if that corrects the issue. Cheers.

Unless my cards are counterfeit, I don’t think that’s it. Im really big into photography so I’ve learned already don’t skimp when it comes to memory cards 😂. But thanks for your input. The crazy thing is I’m only filming in 1080, I would understand more if I was filming in 4k.

Try a class 10 SD card. You should see a 10 encircled or a 4. Most cameras require a class 4 or higher.

Hey, regarding the GoPro overheating issue, try to use a memory card with a higher sequential writing speed and see if that corrects the problem. Usually they overheat because the camera records faster than what the card can write. Cheers.

I started with a 1200 pound single sided magnet. After my first outing with it I think I should have gone with a smaller magnet.

That was part of a receiver for a Marlin model 60 .22 rifle

@@swamprat4899 To me it looks exactly like the back half of a windshield wiper. I've replaced a ton of broken ones, add some pong gunk and it would look just like that.

That “file” is actually a rasp and it’s used on horse hooves so it was prob put in there with the horse shoe

I was excited to see you finally wear a pair of gloves! But your horseshoe was definitely out of luck. Crushed your toe, ouch! Than as soon as you threw your magnet on the bank I was like "NO it's not tied off!" Than you jumped in the water to grab your rope and dipped your old Go pro. Hope it's still working and glad you got your magnet. Happy Saturday from southern Maine!

Those two "STOP ON RED SIGNAL" railroad crossing signs are in pretty good shape. Maybe list them on Craigslist or ebay. Or take them to a local swap meet or flea market. Since you are finding random vehicle parts there, you could speak with NC Highway Patrol about the location. They could probably look up the location to see if any accidents were reported there. Could be debris from an old accident that the vehicle was not recovered from or not all of the debris recovered. Or they may decide to investigate it further to make sure there isn't an unreported accident that could contain a missing person in the debris. My guess is someone lost a load of scrap metal there somehow. Or the debris ended up there after the floods from Floyd. Cars were washed down many small creeks back then.

Those Stop On Red Signal signs are the real deal! They are from a very old railroad crossing signal. The jeweled letters are an indication of the age and these can be worth some serious bucks to a railroad collector. Excellent find.

Love the "Stop on Red Signal" signs. They look 1940s, maybe 30s. Must've been tossed when they updated or abandoned a nearby RR Xing.

Now that you are frequently magnet fishing from the side of the road, you might want to wear a high visibility shirt. Gildan DryBlend in high visibility colors are bright and comfortable. Also cheap at A.C. Moore if you get their coupons via email. Just a thought...
