I will always grab a paperback over a hardcover. There's something so satisfying about holding a paperback book in your hands.

@@karic.1743 so agree, those are the best. One paper back I just finished, didn’t like would hardly open, so def didn’t STAY open and it bugged me alllll the way thru the book, I know it’s a silly thing to be bugged about BUT It did lol

@@tc8404 the reading experience is the best part! If a paperback is too small and chunky it never stays open and it feels like a disappointing experience. I totally get it lol
I have been binging your videos .. especially the fall ones. Does anyone else want to ffwd summer and jump right into fall?

My mind is in Fall. I'll be reading summery books till the middle of July and then the books where it's going into the school year, the start of fall.

NO! Summer is the best and I don't even have a/c
I love the look of hardcover, but I want to snuggle up and read a paperback.
I love seeing you posting more frequently. You're such a breath of fresh air with positive energy that watching your videos always relaxes my spirit and makes me smile. On top of that, it's a book haul which is perfect because I love to find out about different types of books from hauls and recommendations.

@@strawberrylime33 Definitely! It's such an authentically positive and joyful energy as well.
I love floppy paperbacks for holding and reading, and hardbacks for sitting in a coffee shop and annotating. ☺️
Hardcover on my shelves and a paperback in my hands 😊

Perfect answer!....Same
I love both for different reasons! Paperbacks are so easy to travel with and so convenient to have but DANG nothing beats the aesthetic of hardbacks on a shelf together.
I love hardbacks rn, especially with all of the art customizations that you see on things like fairyloot books
Paperback!! I used to think that was an unpopular opinion, but I am happy to see I am in good company! 🦊
I'd prefer a ghost over a human in my house too! Mostly for introvert reasons :)
I’m a hardback fan. I hate the idea of breaking the spine on paperbacks 😂. There’s something special about hardbacks ❤ can’t explain it lol
I think I'm in the minority because most of my friends prefer hardback but I looove paperback more 😁 It's just easier to handle and saves lots of space. Another book haul! Yey! To add to the list of the ever growing to buy list in the future. 😂
When I was younger I preferred hardcovers but now at the age of 23 I go for paperbacks (also because they're a lot cheaper)☺️
Dating in 2014 for me is staying home all day every day, reading and playing with my cats, while occasionally going to Target and the bookstore. i.e I've given up

I don’t comment too often but I needed you to know I audibly laughed when you said “horror” and then pointed to us as if to say “see?”
The cover of The Husbands matches your shirt 💙🩵💜🩷 Paperback!
Lexi you NEED to complete the good girl's guide to murder trilogy the third book is WILD 😱👏🏼
i used to only own hardbacks but aside from being soooo expensive, i realized that the weight makes me too lazy to even grab a book and bring it in my bag. I'm obsessed with paperbacks now i feel like a true literature lover 😂😂😂😂
I like both paperback and hardcover and ebook, and all of them. Usually, it just depends on the book, maybe its just me, but i feel like some books have a hardbook vibe, some have a paperback vibe, and some just have ebook vibe, idk if i make sense 😂 but this is how it be, for example, i will buy Tress of the emerald in hardback, and buy ready player one in paperback, idk.
I’m definitely a hardcover fan! I feel like they are better quality and last longer. Also, I use a book light and there is nothing more annoying than attaching a book light on a floppy little paperback 😂
Paperback all the way, and not the huge or tiny ones. The size of your Amari edition is perfect.
Same! I much preferred hardcover when I was younger and now that I’m older I tend to gravitate towards paperbacks.
Paperbacks were my favorite. But I hold onto them so tightly that my joints always feel arthritic. Now, audio and ebooks (hands-free with a floor stand) are all that I buy. I do purchase hardbacks when I’m going to meet an author and get their autograph.
Okay stop, I’m obsessed with your little rainbow outfit!!!!
Lightfall series is my absolute favourite graphic novels! You will LOVE them.
I really enjoy reading paperback books.
Also guys Medusa The Myth of Monsters is $1.99 on kindle. Great price 😊
Hi Lexi...I adore your outfit! So cute! Lightfall sounds amazing....oooh that version of The Familiar looks AMAZING.💜 📚💛
I absolutely LOVED Looking Glass Sound! It creeped me out in the best way possible.
Paperback over hardcover all day long!!! Unless it’s a book I am completely obsessed with and I love the hardcover print more than the paperback!
A frolic through fiction's review is just so SPOT ON!! 🤣 It describes the books, but I feel like that sums up what I like to read in the summer too 😆
I prefer paperback when it comes to reading. But if I want to collect special editions then I will get the hardback instead
Paperback. They just SMELL better! 😂
Girl, you are amazing! I hope you and everyone on here have an amazing summer!!
I like reading a paperback more. It's not as awkward. I don't feel like I have to be as careful. But I often (though not always) like the look of hardbacks on the shelf. I have a mix on all my shelves. Death Valley sounds so intriguing and might would be a cover buy. The same with The Husbands. The cover of Worry might completely sell it to me. Thanks!
Oh I love book haul videos! Can't wait to find out which treasures you got🥰
I prefer hardback to paperback. Feels better in my hands but I take off the dust jacket while I'm reading.
I used to be torn between hardback vs paperback but now I’m leaning towards paperback 💕 I love popping a book into my tote bag and having it on hand everywhere I go!
I like paperback usually but a hardback when at a cafe because they can stay open on the table without holding it 😍
Hardcover lover here🙌📚
Lightfall is beautiful and a lovely read! Loved Abby Jimenez's "Just for the Summer," I wouldn't call it light though.
Please read Kill for Me Kill for You. The whole book is a roller coaster ride. The ending is fabulous.
I read 100% from the library so I pretty much only read hardbacks - and I don't know what it is either, but I love reading romance on my kobo too! Also, The Familiar isn't about vampires....sorry to say.
Paperbacks are my new favorite!
You should read the Emma M Lion series, it’s on Kindle Unlimited. It is clever, laugh out loud funny, physical comedy, and full of so much heart. The first book sets up the story for the rest of the books. Everyone I have recommended this to have LOVED it. Do it, you won’t regret it!
Paperback. I love the way they feel in my hands 😊
paperback ftw!! its so easy to hold and carry around
paperback is my preferred choice.
Hardcover & Special Edition for my home library. Paperback for travel/portability.
I love the Lightfall series by Tim Probert!! The art is so stunning and the characters are so loveable
I looove Melissa broder. And I really want to read looking glass sound !
I like hardcovers on books that are more than 450 pages. But less pages than that, I don’t mind a paperback 😊
Ahhhh you are an incredible reader! I loved my lovely wife thank you so much for recommending! I did buddy read with my bestie and we had a hell lot of fun 😄💗

omg I love hearing that!!!! Yay!!!
Physical book over anything is my preference. I’m into hardbacks rn. If it’s chunky, paperback or kindle.
I really recommend 'Moscow X' by David McCloskey and 'Alice' by Christina Henry they are great books. Moscow X is a brilliant espionage thriller and Alice is a much darker twist on Alice in wonderland.
I have a fantasy life in my head where I'm always traveling. In reality, I'm not, but I will always go for the paperback -just in case-
Medusa was incredible! I think you're gonna love it!!
Yay Middle Grade book recs!
I love paperbacks! I just read European Travel for the Monstrous Gentlewoman by Theodora Goss (book 2 of the Athena Club Trilogy) in paperback and it was over 700 pages. But I didn’t have to crack the spine, it was perfect
Oh, I was ready for this book haul and I wrote a few of the ones in your book haul and I’m going to purchase them in five minutes lol.
Lexi! I don’t do gory or scary horror at all ever and I loved Motherthing. It’s hilarious! I think you will like it 😀
I exclusively read romance on my kindle. Not sure what it is, but I love it! ❤
I just love your haul videos! I prefer paperback books too!
I prefer paperbacks to take with me, and hardcover for my shelves lol so in general I go for paperbacks
I always prefer paperbacks. And if it's floppy I am in heaven 😊
Love a big book haul! Thank you :)
Added practically all of your “weird girl” literary fiction to my cart. I really liked Animal - and have been looking for more odd stuff like that!!
Just for the Summer ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I like holding the hard back but I tend to buy/wait for paper b/c cheaper.
I wanna say both, but paperback for sure.
Paperback girlie here as well! Hardcovers are too uncomfortable to hold for very long.
The Lightfall series is one of my favorites! :) It's like a saga that reminds me of Terry Pratchett, the Dark Crystal, mixed with mythological elements. :)
I like paperbacks because sometimes hardcovers have a flimsy cover and it slips and sides, which is annoying. I feel like paperbacks are more convenient because they tend to be smaller and easier to hold in my hands.
I LOVE the comfort and ease of a paperback, but my one qualm with it is that I haaaate how quickly they get worn. So for durability’a sake, I tend to buy hardcovers for my home library
I go based on the covers on which I prefer. I think usually it's hard cover
I prefer paperback especially if I want to just have a reading day where I snuggle up with a blanket and some sort of drink and just get cozy and read.
I am a paperback girlie. I love folding the book over as I go. (I know that's an ick for some people but for me it's so satisfying.)
Love your video Lexi! Just so you know, The Famililar isn’t about vampires 😢 I wish it was!
I prefer paperbacks as they are much easier to carry in my bag! But I do like hardcover books too! Also I had no idea there was a prequel to the school for good and evil!!! That's really excited me!! 😲🥳
definitely paperbacks 😊
I prefer paperback for a few reasons. I find they are easier to hold as I get older. They usually cost less than the hardbacks. Plus, I find they take up less space than the hardbacks. Meaning more space for more books. 😀😀
I am team paperback! Hardcovers are beautiful but paperbacks are so much easier to hold while reading!
when we lost our heads its just delightfull
Paper back for sure! I don’t like ruining the paper cover lmao
Ooohhh I love Rouge!!!! 5 ✨ from me. Also loved those 2 romances last month. Great book haul 📚❤❤❤
Great Video Lexi and honestly I like both versions paperback and hard cover but if I have to choose I would go for hardcover All The Way 📚😊 Happy Reading 📖🙂
I love a paperback over hardcover 😊 ❤
I prefer paperbacks, but if it's a small book I don't mind a hardback. Hardback aesthetics are pleasing to look at.
Lexi I would love to see you read horror for 24 hours (not in a row) or for a week. I loved your spooky hotel Stephen King video so much and I think horror for summerween would be great!!
I prefer paperback when actively reading a book. They are not as heavy, for the most part. I also read a lot of classics and do a lot of annotating in the book. If I really like a book I may buy it again in hardcover- maybe. I love your excitement about the books! 😮
I love paperbacks so much 😊
I’m loving all the weird girl fiction rec😂❤
AHHHHHH keep em content comiiiin hihi ✨💃🏻☀️
I love Hardcovers
Paperbacks unless the cover is exceptionally beautiful, then I feel like I need it in hardcover. Books and Lala just gave a great review for How to Become a Dark Lord, I'm grabbing that one up asap, it sounds so fun!
I prefer paperback
4:34 I’m a paperback girlie, I just find them more comfortable to hold over longer periods of time
Love a floppy paperback
Paperback!! In Memoriam by Alice Wynn sounds tragic and romantic!!🥰😄😍
I just read “The Last House on Needless Street” by Catriona Ward! I would 100% recommend it to you Lexi, especially if you like unreliable narration in thrillers. You literally have to piece together clues to figure out what is actually happening, and you don’t really find out until the last 50 pages. I had a wild time reading 😂
