I liked the first one better, but I think this was a worthy follow up. I know it's not the most popular take, but I thought this one was almost as much fun as the first one. There were rumors, I think, about a third movie introducing Mia's surprise sister from the books, which I would honestly love. Speaking of rumors, have you heard there's a rumor in st. Petersburg? Have you heard what they’re saying on the street? Although the tsar did not survive, one princess may be still alive. When this came out I honestly wasn't expecting much because it's a sequel. I think it still holds up though. I still get emotional sometimes when Clarisse and Joe get married and then Mia becomes queen. So good.

I like this one better than the first if for no other reason than I prefer to look at Chris Pine. Also, notice that the guy is basically who Prince William grew up to be.

Funny, I like the sequel better than the first movie too! Not just for Chris Pine (damn he is fine though) but also because the first movie reminds me too much of my cringey, awkward middle/high school days 😬

I love these movies. I hope they still do a third while we still have Julie Andrews. Fun fact: most of the crew were in tears during her singing scene, because it had been YEARS since she sung in public or onscreen after getting throat surgery in 1997. A true queen. Ooo I get to say one of my favourite song facts. The song playing when Mia and the little girls start waving in the parade is Breakaway SUNG by Kelly Clarkson. It was actually written by Avril Lavigne (and two others) for her debut album but it didn't really go with the rest of the songs so it was given to Kelly.

Billy not hearing things when he sees Anne Hathaway is my reaction when watching a Taylor Kitsch interview. Don't know what the boy said, but I liked the way he looked saying it! (One of the few celebrities I like. I don't pay much attention to them normally. I don't keep up with pop culture much anymore.) I just watched this movie like a week ago and found a way to cry during it. THE movie you're least likely to cry over. It's nostalgia and sadness for me. Long story short, I'm taking care of my mom full time. The first Princess Diaries movie was one of the movies we saw in theaters together because we didn't go to the movies often (she couldn't sit or walk for long periods of time.) So, something about the soundtrack set off the waterworks for me. Also, just a dang good couple of movies. I expressed that thoroughly when Billy watched number 1. Anyway, it's taken me like 2 hours to watch this at all. (Edit: It took more than 2 hours. Dear lawd, it's been insane!) We've had rain all day and even with no rain, it killed the internet over here. 2 am, I'm wide awake, and I'm finally enjoying it! Yeah! Keep up the good work. Can't wait for you to finish the MCU movies too. It's gonna be LIT!

There's a lot of subtle details to be found in all the hunger games films. It's one of the few franchises that doesn't talk you through what you're seeing despite certain characters existing in the universe who could have done that. It's an incredibly heavy series. I hope you enjoy it!
