I know, everyone loves the fact Tiana's working hard for her dream. But she's missing the point. One of the lessons of the movie is about balance. She doesn't have to do fifty-fifty, but she has to relax once in a while and enjoy life. A lot of people seem to miss that part of the movie and I don't know why

The point is that functionary individuals will show up every day, have large plans, and still be unfulfilled because having intangible things is not what they consider success. If Tiana has acknowledged her need for love, the two would have turned human in the tree stump, in the rain

We ALL need a homeboy like Ray and a homegirl like Lottie in our lives!!!

This movie and Winnie the Pooh (2011) were the last fully hand-drawn 2D animated movies from Disney Animation Studios. After that, they were only focusing on 3D animation.

I feel at this point CGI's reached such a point that nobody is more interested by that then 2d. I think they should try again. Afterall it's like a THIRD the cost of 3d....

3d animation is actually a lot cheaper and back when they first started was when Disney was falling short on dollars

@@Patches_0001 As an animator, I can tell you that doesn't matter. Any time saving tools CGI has in tweaking certian things is completely offset by the extra steps, computer processing, and technical specifications of lighting/rigging/materials/simulation ect ect. ALSO, 3d animation at feature level is every bit as slow and time consuming as 2d. Frozen was 200 Million to make, Princess and the from was 90 million.

I named my dog after Charlotte from this movie. She is so charismatic just like Lottie and I wanted my dog to have a Disney name.

4:22 it’s moments like this in movies that’s supposed to stop racism cuz I really liked that about this movie, it didn’t focus too hard on it but made it clear that certain people aren’t just evil u feel me

Ariel may be my favroite Disney Princess, but I think Tiana and Naveen are my favorite Disney couple (at least for movies). Their relationship feels like it was built well and their contrasting personalities bring out the best in each other There was one other 2D Disney film after this. A Winnie the Pooh movie that slipped under the radar because of Harry Potter coming out at the same time

i will say till the day i die that tiana and naveen’s romance is one of, if not THE best written disney princess romance.

If they were to do a live action version of this movie, there are a few things that are a definite requirement for it to actually be good: 1. they need to keep all of the songs 2. Keith David definitely needs to reprise his role as the shadow Man.

I'd rather they didn't do a live-action remake. Disney keeps making remakes of their very best movies, and the result almost always flops. The problem is that, when the original is so good, even a top-tier remake is likely to be inferior to the original. Disney should take a cue from successful remakes like "Little Shop Of Horrors" and "The Fly", and try remaking something that has room for improvement. I'd nominate "The Black Cauldron" or maybe "Wish", both of which had good ideas but flubbed the execution. That way, they can keep the parts that worked, rewrite the parts that didn't work, and create a remake that's substantially better than the original.

This movie managed to do what remake live-action fails.

I love this movie so much. It lets us see a New Orleans architecture-wise that doesn't exist anymore so it is extra special. ❤

It's the Ray way or no way! And yeah, Charlotte really needs to take a chill pill 😆This movie is so wholesome, it makes me miss the old 2D Disney movies, even though some of the newer 3D ones are good too. I have a bluray Disney collection, containing 57 Disney classics, from Snow White to Frozen 2, it was a bit expensive, but it was money well spent I tell you.

what many people miss is the first start of the evening is the plant Venus

It was actually an attempt to REBOOT 2d animation, prior to that 2003 was the last theatrical 2d animated film by Disney. Sadly for whatever reason it didn't make much money, so they went back to 3d.
