    I really love how they flipped the origin theme in this movie... it’s always been, Peter doesn’t help, bad thing happens, realizing that he needs to help people or else bad things will happen... Whereas in this... it hits so much harder that he tries to do the right thing always, and bad things still happen... so he questions why even bother... and then to honor May, he decides to live by her words... incredible.

Even in the difference in dialogue and wellness, Tobey'Spiderman was like "I'm at peace and getting better"....the next gen: Andrew'Spiderman was like "I'm depressed from my mistakes and deserve to suffer from them".......the next gen: Tom'Spiderman "What's the point of it all then??!".... Andrew'Spiderman receives positive advice/assurance from Tobey'Spiderman, restoring his mental and hope, then they both tell the new gen Tom'Spiderman "It's what we do"

    I was a bit perplexed by Strange. He started the spell before the two of them clarified what it would entail. I thought he was more thorough than that. Peter was a good boy and waited until it was clear that he wouldn't get more info, then he started thinking of implications. Peter knew he had limited time si he started talking when the first thought was made. Strange didn't allow Peter to get info, nor did he allow Peter to ponder about specifics but he did allow Peter to impact the spell despite the dangers. This is all on Strange.

  • @TheCrazyOrange

    @TheCrazyOrange

    Agreed, kind of assumed they did it for plot's-sake but I would think Strange's character is less likely to do that since (like this video pointed out) he didn't accept to help Peter until it was clear it was for the good of others, and that stemmed from his past learning experience. Idk, that was my only major like "why did they make it like that" after watching the movie in theaters

  • @aspwillow

I’ve seen it before in the movies he has gone out in wrinkly clothes before he has even suited up, it’s also to kind of show his age and his ability to do stuff like normally Aunt May would Iron his clothes for him. Prime example in this movie he doesn’t even know how to clean his suit properly and Aunt May ends up doing it for him.

    On multiple viewings, it’s clear that this movie had a bunch of deleted scenes. But unlike something like, say, The Rise of Skywalker, where the shortened runtime clearly harmed the movie, here it feels like it was done just to keep up the pace of the movie and the movie still works well without these scenes. 3:30 The actual reason he webbed the window shut is because Tom Holland improvised it after failing the scripting of closing it normally. They kept it in the film as it was more likely for Peter to do this, and also easier for him. 7:23 This could be a reference to Andrew Garfield's character in The Social Network, in that famous scene where he just goddamn roasts the sh*t out of Jesse Eisenberg's Mark Zuckerberg, and tells him to "lawyer up, a**hole." 9:01 Maybe this is a reference to the well-known tradition in Spider-Man media where the news (namely Daily Bugle) always turns Spider-Man's actions against him to make him out to be a criminal. 13:35 Wong wearing the winter coat is probably more because London is freezing, and it's winter/Christmas in the film, so it'll be cold and snowy in more than just the Sanctum Sanctorum. 15:34 Despite everyone assuming the MIT lady is Rio Morales, I don't think it is. Rio Morales across all media we see her is a school teacher. Also, I know it's a stretch, but with what happens in the first parts of the film, if it was Rio, I think she would most likely have been driving with her husband Jefferson Davis, who due to him being a police officer in all recent Miles media, would be there to protect Rio from anything related to what's happened. 16:01 The E.D.I.T.H error is more likely due to Peter personally disconnecting himself from E.D.I.T.H again, like in FFH. This would cause him to not have the assistance from her AI. 21:04 Norman didn't present himself as helpless, he was helpless. He had just arrived in a world he doesn't recognise, where his company never exists, and is still struggling with the Goblin in his mind. The whole Norman sub-plot in the film before he becomes Green Goblin again is about him wanting help to get rid of the Goblin. He even offers Peter his help to fix the other villains as well as himself. He just needed help from anyone, because he was tired of the Goblin being a part of him. 21:52 I missed the part where that's my problem.

    Yes and later on in the scene, we were also shown that tobey's peter was physically stronger than tom's version as he was able to hold back peter who was enraged and using his full power, with not much effort. This also shows us that the Train scene in Spider-man 2 was far more gruelling than tom's ferry holding scene in homecoming that lasted for like 4 seconds. I guess that pretty much debunks the theorizers who kept saying tom is stronger than tobey.

When Peter and MJ are trying to open the window to peters room after his identity was revealed, she was struggling to open the window (like most people do, those windows suck). 22:00 There is a reference I would like to add just before this scene: when Peter introduces Norman to MJ and Ned, he calls him "Mr. Osborn"; to which Norman corrects him by saying "Dr. Osborn". I think this is a reference to Robert Louis Stevenson's story "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde", where Dr. Jekyll is the public, contained, law-abiding individual and Mr. Hyde is all the impulses and inhibitions manifested in an unrestrained personality. Both characters are very much like the movie's Norman and Green Goblin persona.

    I think there’s also very important details in the talk they have in prison. Electro says “…he caused an overload, I was stuck in the grid, absorbing data…”, I think that shows that: 1: he did’t actually die in TASM 2, he just was like absorbed to the grid 2: that could also be the reason he knows Peters identity (justifiing him being brought by the spell), by the data he was absorbing (maybe got something on Peter’s cloud, a chat with Gwen or something like that) that reveals his identity but not his actual face (also justifiing him being surprised by Peter not being black, even though he someway knows Peter Parker is Spider-Man) Also, what jumped to me as a discrepancy, is that Sandman says Goblin death impaled by his own glider was on the news, weird, since Harry didn’t know that till his butler told him

    3:45 The best part about that detail, which a good amount of people will likely have realized as well, is that it's probably not Tom actually growing. It's more likely the costume team chose a smaller size shirt to give that very illusion to the audience. That was done intentionally by the costume department. The people behind the scenes really have an eye for detail.

I hope Venom & Morbius & TASM is same universe, he deserves to complete his story. 😭😭

At the end of the movie the new spell was to make everyone forgets that Peter Parker is Spider-Man, But he seemed to make some modifications letting him and Wong to remember the incedent later in DS in the multiverse of madness at the restaurant with America Chavez, while MJ and LEEDS didn't seem to have any clue about the multiverse incedent.

    one of the best pieces to attention to detail is the bridge fight. Peter is wearing a "cheap" suit under his nanotech.. and as you can imagine, it's probably a tight fit. He rushed home to get clothes to look presentable for the MIT lady he wouldn’t have had time to iron it. I commented this to someone else as well it shows his age and his ability to do grown up things Aunt May would usually do like iron his clothes. Prime example he can’t even wash his own suit in the movie Aunt May ends up doing it for him. You even see him wearing wrinkled clothes in other movies before he has even suited up.
