Motivation should absolutely be multiversal domination. Sympathetic villains are great but a damn menacing dictator is also awesome

The last shot looks like Kang was angry - frustrated even. He released his powers out of frustration instead of directing it at someone. This could mean Hope and Scott were able to keep him trapped in the Quantum Realm.

I think that scene where Kang shoot out laser might be the opening of the last battle scene. His armor is still perfectly fine and notice that the soldiers behind look like they are going somewhere urgently. He might shoot that laser beam to Scott and Wasp.

In one of the scenes, you can see Cassie and Hank get back home (if you want to look yourself, it's the part where Cassie is staring into the orange portal with Hank by her side), and when Kang is beating Scott up, you can see the same orange portal. It looks like Cassie, Janet and Hank all get back, but Kang manages to stop Scott from going through the portal, beats him up, and Hope goes back through the portal to save him, and Kang manages to leave and keep them trapped there, which makes sense as this is also in the plot leak.

My theory as to why Scott was focusing on the giAnt Scott 12:16 is because as your theory stated each Scott is a different variant of Scotts decisions so the reason why Scott was focusing on the giAnt Scott was because he was thinking of going giant but saw the repercussions of it

In Captain America: Civil War, Scott tells Cap that he's gonna create a distraction and he might tear himself apart before going Giant. Maybe in an alternate timeline he did go Giant and he did tear himself apart. Since each decision he takes creates a variant of him, maybe one of the variants died trying to go Giant during the airport fight in CACW.

I think in the giant man part, big Scott was supposed to reach something but "split in half" trying to keep that size like he mentions could happen in Civil War, which leads to the all the Scotts working like ants.

The giant variant of Ant-Man was going to be the one to reach the portal first since he's the tallest, but he got Wanda shredded before he could make it, which is why all the Ant-Men come together to help Scott reach the top.

I have a theory for the Giant Man thing: Remember the Ant man ladder? Scott was trying to reach something, and maybe the big guy was basically a variant of him who decided to use his giant form to reach it. But it didn't work for some reason. That's why Scott was looking at it so intently. He thought the big guy could reach the object.

also if you remember in previous ant man movies, Scott mentions that if he goes bigger in size, he somehow loses energy and faints. "Growing big" is probably even more fatal in quantum realm.

I didn’t notice the unarmored MODOK, so great catch. Also, Kang’s scars lighting up was a great find.

There's a theory that the Rings in Shang-chi are connected to Kang as you can see the rings surrounding Kang's place has similar pattern to the ten rings which is pretty cool

You mentioned that Yellowjacket from AM1 probably isn’t the modok we see in the trailer, but when it sucked yellowjacket into the quantum realm at the end of AM1, it probably left his body with distorted proportions: skinny limbs, big head; you understand. He might have used his scientific knowledge and created a suit to benefit his transportation and his wacky proportions. Who knows.

When scott said "This family is our fortress" I couldn't handle the sheer epicness. Truly a moment which exists.

As previously mentioned by Scott, time moves differently in quantum realm, as 5 years in the real world was 5 hours there. Just like that , what if at the end of the movie, a long time has passed in the real world and we are already in phase 6(kang dynasty)....

I think it looks like Kang's scars not only illuminate, but split open. That the scars themselves are a result of whatever energy he uses.

Here’s a cool detail: Chronopolis’ design looks exactly like Shang-Chi’s 10 Rings, because before the 10 Rings were found by the Mandarin, they originally belonged to a Kang variant.

It's gonna be a hard time keeping a track of every variant of Kang

Awesome breakdown as always! Can always count on some original details by you. I've been wondering, at 4:59 when we see Janet, do you think this is a flashback scene? I haven't seen anyone talk about this, although lots of people mentioned a possible flashback in the 1st trailer, but her hair isn't as white as it is in all the other scenes, and she does look a tad bit younger. It's also the only scene where we see her alone so it makes sense that it could be from before she was freed from the Quantum Realm

12:15 I think that the fact that that big Antman could stay conscious and run without needing any oranges or even without fainting made our Scott really surprised, so maybe he was just admiring his own varient in a nerdy way?

13:52 Ig these rings serve some resemblance to Shang Chi's, like there's something ig, the energy too is orangish the way it was in this trailer...

MODOK most likely is the same Cross as Ant-Man 1 since we saw him shrink limbs first. His shrinkage must've been completely unstable all the way and maybe Kang had a way to stabilize him but he's already shrunken 90% of the way thus making him a huge head with tiny limbs.

What if in the place where there's the huge spherical machine that Scott tries to reach, the reason Kang can't go there himself is because anyone who goes down there gets split, but every Kang variant tends to fight each other ending in not achieving one single goal (which is reaching that spherical machine) and maybe destroying it could also stop the multiverse by stopping branching of timelines, which will destroy other Kangs, leaving the one inside the quantum realm the only Kang there is.

At 9:02, we see it looks like Cassie and Hank have both made it home, which is why she is staring at the portal/wormhole. This is probably where Hope goes back to save Scott from getting beat up by Kang, and Cassie is waiting for them to return, which could possibly mean Kang manages to escape the Quantum Realm and leave Scott and Hope trapped there.

12:56 The real kang could have possibly escaped and was probably using his weaker varients to fight scott. Kang must have thought that "he who remains" must still be alive and did not want him to erase kang out of reality.

In the last shot of the trailer where Kang furiously beams with his hands, you can see that his armor changes. The armor on his shoulders centralizes, giving more space for his arms when he is in combat. A nice attention to detail I noticed the first time watching the trailer.

12:15 he probably was about to turn big, but he saw his alternate version do it and get shredded which might be the reason he was kinda shocked

At 13:10, Maybe Kang learned something on Thanos. "You should've gone for the head."

The end credit scene from Shang Chi was that the ten rings were sending a message somewhere, and that was directly to Kang, that’s why he needs the help of Antman to probably get the rings for him probably to use its energy

My favorite detail was Kangs scars lighting up blue as he releases those blue blasts from his hands. Good luck on the Sub goal my dude. ☮️

12:15 Each time when antman take a decision, his duplicate will be created. Similarly, the giant size - antman would have been created but later antman thought that he cannot acheive his goal in giant size. So that duplicate would have disintegrated.

There was a detail that you missed that when kang throws his beam, the animation was just like the Shang-Chi rings when it was in the hands of Wenwu. This might be the hint that he could be the creator of the shang chi rings and power himself technology as the upgrade of shang chi rings. He might be the one who is sending singnals to shang chi rings, which were being unknown for Dr. Bruce banner and wong. Those signals might comming from cronopolis, so that's why they could not figured it out.

Something I noticed at 13:58 is that energy beam Kang fires is actually very similar to a spell Doctor Strange cast in Multiverse of Madness when he had the Book of Vishanti. May just be a coincidence but they could explain Kang's powers as Magic. He Who Remains did have a very Sorcerer-esque castle after all.

6:18 Notice the ring type things have the same pattern as the ten rings of shang chi.. I think antman tries to send a message to the avengers through the rings.. that's why in the post credit scenes in shang chi shows the beacon that giving a message..

seeing G-ant man getting shredded to pieces reminds me of Reeds getting the same treatment by Wanda...

Let's hope Kang wins in the movie and antman has to run away or something like that, because kang is not someone you can defeat alone with just shrinking ability.

I don't think it's just the 5 years he's talking about, but the constant in and out of prison, basically missing her whole childhood, and when he was finally out of that life, he was busy with hero buisness, I mean the only time he had actual time with her was during the 2 year house arrest

while scot was on his giant antman ladder, the glowy thing kinda resembled shangchi's ring's core and the marks on the rings were similar to those in eterals. and in many instances, round ringy things were there similar to wenwu's blue rings.

I think the reason Scott was focusing on the big variant of himself wa because that maybe his variants are a different size depending on what his choices are. Like there could have been some other variants of Scott that were small that we just did not see.

If Scott dies in this movie I think this is where we might learn how big of a threat Kang is (More than Thanos) Cause Thanos didn't even face Ant Man

The two scenes of Scott and the voiceover are from different points in the movie, the first one with optimist Scott is at the beginning, the second with a pessimistic Scott is at the end but he's remembering Kang's last words making him think Kang was right to go all Jet Li from The One eliminate the other Kangs and their timelines to prevent them from crossing over and cancelling each other out Crisis On Infinite Earths style. They didn't edit the original scene, it was completely swapped out with the second one.

I don't think Scott discarded his helm there at the end from the kick. If you notice the helm, it's glowing red around the hole where the eye piece was and still smoking slightly. I assume after the kick he takes one of those energy blasts and barely dodges enough of it.

The giant Scott was torn apart because the rules are different in this space he's in. Like a subatomic particle, Scott can be in multiple states at once, however subatomic particles only occur in specific forms and energies. There's no larger or smaller electrons for example. I've always believed enlarging was harder to achieve in the MCU because his energy density should fall as his volume increases, so he needs energy pumped into him to prevent that. That's why he passes out, if the energy is just a little too low, his body uses it all and runs out.

I have to be honest, I thought this movie would be better, but it was still a good movie in general, just got overhyped

When Kang said, “You thought you could win” and Scott replies, “No, we both just have to lose,” was a flashback to Strange vs Dormamum, where Dormamu said, “You will never win,” and Strange replies, “No, but I can lose and lose over and over again forever.” Dr. Strange movies was focused on Time, and Antman is focused on Kang, who uses Space and Time. We know Strange had the upperhand because of the power of Time, so Marvel may also use Time as Scott's way out of this one, and can't wait to know how!
