I am not a saltwater fisherman, I've actually never caught one from boat or in the surf. Still I love watching your videos. Your love for nature and all the variety of the ecosystem is why I watch. Keep it up.

I've been using my leftover slam shadys and trout eye jigs to catch smallmouth here in TN.

When I first started watching you and Brandt I noticed you both played with the drag a lot. At first I thought you'll were doing it wrong. But as I kept watching and you kept catching fish I started thinking about it. I decided you guys must know what your doing because you catch a lot more fish than I do. Lol great video today. Hopefully you will be in the store on the 3rd.

Awesome brother! Matt, have you ever tried a whopper plopper 130 for surf fishing? In my opinion, it works better for the trout, Spanish, and blues (I tear them up this way in Cape Hatteras, NC) because of it's straight line retrieve, where as a walking top water bait gets a lot of misses due to the fish being focused on their target, then missing it because of the style of retrieve. I finally got my hands on some Bama Beach Bum Pompano Jigs! Can't wait to get back to the OBX to try them out! Thanks for everything you do brother! Cheers, and tight lines!

In the NE I’d say a striper; a blue; and even rarer a tuna. They all love them and jump on them.

Wonder if they were schooling after the Spawn or If they were Spawning in that Spot . If fish are Spawning , a lot of times they will be running other fish or whatever they think will eat the Eggs ,Therefore not really wanting to eat just running other fish away.

Surf trout are a blast they fight was harder then your normal bay trout!

Top water is the best
