This is definitely one of the craziest playoffs in the entire NBA history. 2nd 8th seed to reach the finals, Denver making it's first finals appearance, Sacramento's first playoffs since 2007, and multiple players scoring 50 points or more.

LeBron vs Curry matchup (possibly their last against each other in the playoffs), Derrick White game six buzzer beater, Jimmy Buckets clutch moments, Curry’s 50 point game 7 followed by Tatum’s 51, Jokic historic efficiency, all 4 California teams making the playoffs, first time a team from all seeds 1-8 make it through to the second round, and all the rivalries

100% ! The Heat, similar to the Lakers, had a crazy uphill battle of a season to go through, and the fact that they BOTH made the CF's is one thing - but the Heat going all the way despite all of that is ANOTHER thing. Full credit to Jimmy and the Heat org. This will be a Finals to remember!

It's funny hearing him talk about how he didn't really dream of hitting a game 7 buzzer beater in the finals, because he "was never really that good at basketball". He wasn't a super talented guy with the why as a limit. He had to work for everything he has achieved. And of course even generational talents like Lebron also worked hard - but almost everyone we're comparing Butler to these days, were highly rated 1st round picks. Honestly Jokic is the closest parallel as someone who only really became this good when he worked his ass off and got into shape. But even he had a physical advantage (height) that statistically gave him a good chance to become an NBA player.

Im actually kind of glad the heat won. From a talent perspective, especially without herro who gives them nearly 20 points per game it wasnt close. The heat seemed to just WANT it more, ran though the bucks, knicks, and celtics. They seemed to will out victories in games 1,2, and 3. In game 7 they just kind of took control and I quit even thinking the celtics could come back. I hope they give the nuggets hell. I want to see jimmy dropping 28-40. The whole team get hot and feed off that energy. Its a lot more fun to watch then the 14 he had last night, and all those missed 3s.

Kobe lost to the Celtics in 08 and listened to the song played after they lost all year long to motivate himself the following year. Duncan lost to the Heat in 2013 and told his entire team it was his fault, he was the top scorer and had a double-double average. Came back the next year and massacred the Heat. It's a team sport but the team needs a strong leader.

As a Celtics fan, the Miami Heat are exactly what I want the Celtics to be. Butler is one of my favorite players in the league because he really does radiate that "Ima win this game for you or die trying" energy. Game 6 this year and game 7 last year really showcase the difference in teams. In both games the Celtics were the much better team, got a lead with not much time left and just stopped playing. If Butler hits that shot and Derek White didn't happen Miami would have won both games. We just didn't have the mentality to put the hammer down.

I think you also have to give a lot of credit to Erik Spoelstra, because coaching's been a huge factor in all of the Heat series. The Celtics were completely outcoached. They didn't make any adjustments when they were losing, nor when they were winning, whereas the Heat have been incredibly flexible and fluid in their defense and offense. That's cause of great coaching.

This is the main reason why Larry Bird will always be my favorite player of all time. The dude was fucking unbreakable. He was a true warrior, heart of a lion, literally left it all on the court from day 1 to his last game. It was truly contagious, you could almost see that aura around him lol... The dude wasn't the highest flyer, not the fastest, biggest or strongest. But the shear determination, heart, will power, and skill... The dude broke his back, face and all who knows what else lol Still never ever gave up on his team... He came back stronger after loses and heartbreaks. Never bitched and complained or looked for excuses and always took it upon himself to prove that he can do it better. Very few players in the history had that level of insanity and fire in them. Larry, Mike, Kobe 100% on that top of the mountain.... and Jimmy has just proven how powerful that is when he is surrounded by players and staff who understand that and who are receptive to that kind of energy. He dragged that stupid Minnesota team to the playoffs but KAT would rather play video games. He carried the 76ers but they disrespected him and kept fucking Tobias Harris over him LMAO... Pat Riley and Spoelstra also deserve a lot of credit for sure... But they ain't doing shit with any other player in the league instead of Jimmy imo He is the craziest! And looks like the Joker flipped that switch to some extent, he looks really determined and focused as well! GO FINALS, LET THE BEST TEAM WIN!

For years I've thought jimmy is one of the last few players I've seen cut from a similar cloth as Kobe or MJ. That drive, nearly insane obsession with doing everything in your power to win is something so compelling to watch, what an amazing story it would be if the Heat go all the way.

Jokic has a killer mentality too. Every year, even as he won MVP, when he lost he'd go back to the lab and work on his game. He's already MVP what could he possibly work on? 2 seasons ago: Physique 1 Season ago: Accuracy and post moves. This season: defense Jamal Murray has that killer in him too. You know how hard and nearly impossible it is to come back from an ACL? Let alone come back BETTER? The four leaders, Butler, Jokic, Bam, Murray all exemplify the best thing about sports.

@Bels Still got two MVPs though compare that to not even being voted as an all star. Plus to be fair most people was saying Jokic deserved the MVP this year breaking multiple records of his previous MVP season. Guess things just went up to voter fatigue similar to Giannis. Plus to be fair as well Embiid almost won the MVP a couple years back if he didnt get hurt. I think Jokic deserved the MVP this year but Embiid if he didnt get hurt would've won a couple years ago too. So I guess they gave it to him with consideration of that and the scoring average in the regular season

5:25 this is exactly what it is. When people talk about great players this isn't a part of it. Skill doesnt mean shit when players dont show up when it matters. Tatum and Brown disapeard while less talented players step up. When you have an all time great, with the right mentality, like Kobe, they're going to be a goat.

He has a better true shooting percentage than Tim Duncan and shot 47 percent with Shaq that's about the average of all elite shooting gaurds Reggie, Vince, mac, kyrie, Clyde, not sure about wade but I think him too. If he shot the same as Kobe he would shoot at a 38% clip. Kobe is the best tough shot maker in history there is a reason he averaged 32 points on 54 percent shooting throughout the 2009 playoffs. Kobe is inefficient is the most overblown myth in NBA history and it's not a valid criticism when you won 5 rings, 2 finals MVPs and an MVP being "inefficient"

The last quarter of the video had me literally tearing up. You really can’t describe it. Its not nostalgia. Those “you had to be there” moments, when you had a man on your side who rose to the occassion and wouldn’t blink. Win or lose, you turn off the game satisfied that there wasn’t an ounce more they could’ve given. In a game today that has even the most average player going home to 8 figure estates, the level of grit we’re seeing from Butler and the Heat is unheard of
