I can't lie when I say I supremely enjoy these commentary videos over the stream ones, not only because I mainly already watched your stream but also because these videos are obviously such good quality educational commentary, we're really lucky to have you for us swain players. I've been preaching about malignance for a while but now that it's been having a couple of buffs it's obviously a mainstay for swains core builds outside of the 2 mana rune and not a bait item like some used to say, I'm having a lot of success with the lost chapter into rylai.

Ive been loving conqueror swain, you take presence, tenacity, coup de grace/last stand, manaflow transcendence. Then if you wanna scale take ability haste double scaling hp. Playing for lane would be double adapative plus flat health. Sums I’ve been running tp flash, for items i have been doin’ rift > cosmic drive the ability haste gives you great uptime have a lot of hp & omnivamp with conqueror makes you even more durable. The cosmic ms gives you near permanent ghost ms when you are ulting. After the 2 item core you can can build any item to best suit the games needs.

I loved to be this weak looking old man that would transform into a demonic abomination at the press of a button. Now he is just another buff character.

@@CameronKujo his tempo is much slower in the early game than old swain. his level 1 and 2 were strong points in the laning phase and he could all in a lot of characters with e damage amp + ignite. also because his ult had no secondary cast, more of the healing and dmg were from the ticks of the ult

I really like that u talk out ur thought process. Alot better than some other YT people who dont really explain and just do.

Try out this: Electrocute page with ult hunter + manaflow / transcendence Build: RoA > Rylais > Zhonya / Visage > Rabadons /Riftmaker / Morello Works very well in masters, your passive heals you insane amounts and you can still do tons of damage, rylais is actually a strong 1v1 tool. I was doing this build with RoA > Liandrys but actually Rylais is just better even in 1v1s, you perma kite the enemy until they die plus you get way more stacks with Rylais.

I just want to say that phantom hourglass soundtrack made me remember me so much good memories, thank you!

I've been having fun with a corki build with rylais and malignance as well. He defiantly gets a good boost this season because of that item

I have a friend that likes to do some theorycraft on league from time to time. Before the season started I asked him to do his magic for swain and he told me that for him strongest build was malignance, rylai zhonya

i just watched this video and ended up playing him and building him with the same runes and everything, ended up 12/2 in a lower plat game thank you gamer

Oh btw Malignance base stats were 127% gold efficient (pre 14.4 buff ) now 5 AH are worth 250 G making it 136 % gold eff . Pretty good if you think that it's not a scaling item like RoA or Seraph . Rylai is 98.72 % gold eff in base stats

Rylai’s stats not op but his passive super op with swain. You can perma slow everyone in your ult so nobody can escape from you. Especially if you have ghost too.

Just discovered your channel, not only i'm a really big fan of swain even tho i'm not playing him much, it's always refreshing to see game like that, especially when the tips are not only for the champ, but how to manage a lane against a match up, i used the tips you said for a TF match up (i'm only on emerald tho) but it made the whole game much easier. Just wanted to know, is there any match uo where you would go TP instead of ghost ? like with a mU that need an different build or such ? thanks bro, you could find me swapping flash for tp against hard mU or when we need somebody to sidelane (mostly very high elo can become problem if nobody has tp on team) for builds im just picking what i enjoy a lot but ill ofc build like frozen heart against heavy ad teams or abyssal vs ap heavy teams. Honestly one of the best educational games I have seen. Most people don’t cut at all and are playing on real time so there is a lot of nothing happening. Speeding the stuff up really helps.

Hey husum another great video! I was wondering what you would do for runes and items on swain supp. I used to main it last season but he seems not as good now.

Go same as his double mana runes with Aery and Scorch. You'll have better laning phase that'll help you carry your games. Rush Ryleis then build your boots depending on the opponents. After that if they have heal or lifesteal champs then go Oblivion orb instead of building the whole morello. Complete your Landrys or Malignence as your second item. Once your second item is done, you'll start carrying your team in teamfights. I normally just jump on enemy adc and supps on my first return with Ryleis with the basic boots on lol. I use ghost if needed. Easy double kill everytime.

Husum, what are your thoughts on the flexibility of the build? Rylais, Malignance and Liandries seems like the best 3 item spike, do you think you can deviate from Zhonyas to a Frozen Heart/Abyssal Mask pivot depending on enemy comp? Zhonyas is obviously expensive and good when ahead, but just thinking in scenarios where you're slightly behind or matched with enemy gold.

you can always be flexible if the enemy team comp calls for it. Be creative and have fun :D

Hey Husum, couple questions. One. What do you think of Approach Velocity? It's almost always active on you, especially with Rylai's. But you'd be sacrificing your Precision tree secondary. Two. Do you have any video giving a basic breakdown on wave management? I honestly can't really tell when the wave is "bad" for you or good that it's pushing or when cannons are coming up, when you want to recall, etc. Thanks mate.

karthus swain not good combo, both ap easy to stack mr and karthus likes solo ap also because karthus is powerfarm jungler and swain likes aggresive ganking junglers to make plays with in the river. I dont know how double malignance work tho im not up to date with that interaction.

what would you reccomend for end game build, for example i was 11/6/4 and my teammates were 1/9, 1/6, 4/11 and 3/14 in a game earlier today, and i just couldn't really seem to find a balance between tanky enough to 1v5 and still having enough damage to kill anything when i did manage to live in those fights, so we ended up losing with me being over 400 ap and around 6.2k hp just because teammates die to quick to help me

Jak'sho really excels if you already have some armor/mr items already (zhonya, force of nature), because the passive gives 30% more of your BONUS armor/mr, meaning it is weak when it is bought as the only tank item you have. However, it is one of the only items that provides both armor/mr so if you are into a team that is like 4AP/1AD or 3AD/2AP (Leaning heavy towards one type of damage) it is a good buy.

Great video! I suggest maybe moving the watermark to the left corner of the screen though, because it sorta blocks out the bot lane.

Im new to the game (played for 3 months) and I've been only playing swain now. I play him support but want to try him out in mid sometime soon. When playing him support, I hit my E and usually keep them rooted for the maximum duration. I pull them at the last possible moment to maximize the cc. Is this something I should or shouldnt do?

The extra cc is abyssmal its usually just better to pull them into your range and dont fuck up your teammates skill shoots by pulling them late. they are still rooted after you pull

manaflow + 600mana -> choose triumph👍 (especially to mid swain) Both malignance and Liandry are good items

@@HusumLOL If aery is used for the poke/better landing phase. Then what are your thoughts on arcane comet or electrocute? As well as trying to use fleet footwork for sustain on matchups where the enemy has free poke?

In a matchup like this where you know you're going to be fighting/trading a lot, I think electrocute would've been better imo. Probably would've killed him when he was roaming to help Gragas with that bit of extra burst

Comet can be dodged easily as the opponents' movement speed increases. Also, Swain most of the time engages using his E, which features a pull mechanic, having Comet and pull can be awkward at times. Aery, on the other hand is much more consistent and procc-able more often that Comet.

you are playing nice but try to use your e when someone want to kill cs. If he use aa you got pretty much clean e hit if he use spell to clear in the early he lose mana. In both cases, it is to your advantage.

they are still rooted after pull. It depends on situation, if i can pull them into my own/teammates attack range faster ill instant pull

@@HusumLOL that's true but that wasn't the case with the Lee Sin I feel. The pull didn't displace TF at all, and if you waited 1.5s, then rooted it probably would have given Lee enough time to Q since its 1.5s root + the displacement animation. Since the pull was immediate, the displacement animation and 1.5s overlapped and tf got to flash

Just something about this video and your commentary made back timers and wave management click in my head even though i havent played league in MONTHS, might pick the game back up...

PoM better than Triump when against tank champion like k'sante, sion, ... because they too much HP and AP resist we need spam skill many many times.

I think mid swain can show more performance than toplane Mid can choose Spell Ghosts+Flash or Ignite+Flash. Top swain almost needs Teleportation so it becomes passive on lane fight than mid lane.

7:03 last season i got banned for interacting with toxic ppl that somehow dont get banned after saying the most crazy shit, now i play with chat off and i am also slightly higher elo but sometimes i just deafen and mute the game and autopilot when people spam ping me
