I love the Amish and the fellowship you guys have. It's so interesting seeing how they live. People need to get back to the basics. Where everything is locally sourced or homemade. It's a dying way of life that we need to revive in America.

Everything looks delicious! The craftsmanship and the food everything the Amish do is always so well made..

I went to this place called the Essenhaus, in Middleville Indiana..and they bring the food to the table like that. The food is some of the best restaurant food I have ever had! The Amish people really know how to cook!

I live in Elkhart Indiana which is only about 20 miles from Middlebury Indiana I have been at the Das Dutchman Essenhaus Restaurant so many times and it's my favorite restaurant my sil and bil lives in Middlebury a very nice Amish community. The Amish sure knows how to cook.

There is an Amish resturant in Southern Indiana we tried....OMG!!! Great food!!! This place had a bakery too. I need to go back there....YUMMMM! Thank you for sharing and God bless.

Devo Delgado I agree, it’s overwhelming and so much immorality. I miss my quiet slow paced home town. Where you can sit outside in a beautiful field alone to talk to God. To read a book with only the sounds of the wind coming thru the wheat.

Tons of food. Not glutenous but they definitely don't leave anyone hungry

The Amish are good honest hard-working people and you can't get no better than that. And their food is 100% natural and made from scratch that's the way it should be. Most my neighbors are Mennonite. They have some of the cleanest farms around here. My favorite thing is they keep to themselves, and I keep to myself. I've been wanting to attend their church and check out their services since part of their faith is based on the teachings of my 10th great grandfather Hans "The Martyr" Landis.

This was interesting to watch and I am very glad that you did ask about filming which is very respectful. Many English ( as they call us) have never experienced this and many will never experience it either. I myself have been blessed to eat with the Amish often. My father's family was Amish. We visited quite often and were invited to eat with the families. I was asked once by my relatives if I wanted to be Amish could I and at that time I said yes but now I don't think so.I loved my time with them.

You have to be born into the community you can not just join . they are an amazing people , their population is growing at an amazing rate average family is 5 to 6 kids

@@MrJlove67 It was my great aunt on my father's side that asked me if I wanted to accept the Amish way of life. I know that many of the families have 5 to 6 kids. Most of the families I visited in my youth had an average of 8 to 10 kids. I knew I would have been allowed because my relatives were deacons in the Amish church. Since it was my great aunt technically I was born into the community.

What a great meal. If anyone went home hungry, it's their own dang fault. Thank you for sharing that Dutch. Let me add my Christmas greeting and blessing on you and your family - remember the reason for the season. Cheers, Mark.

I enjoyed this video. The food looked delicious. I am from Pennsylvania and I have gone to Amish farms in Lancaster, PA for meals and they were delicious as well. I live in Florida now and I miss going to the Amish meals a few times a year. When I visit PA, I am going to have to do this again. This video brought back tasty meals. Thanks.

Thanks for sharing another side of the Amish. In my community in DC the local places of worship take turns providing a community dinner for thanksgiving and my sisters church hosts a Christmas Day dinner. Hopefully these can come back these holidays.

It was wonderful to see a family style Amish dinner and celebration of how great our Lord is and praising him on his birthday. What a kind service they are providing to the community. You all are really blessed to be near each other and share the holiday together each year. The meal looked so delicious I wanted to get a plate too. We have Amish who have a store not to far. I hope my health gets better so I can walk better. I'm disabled now and my mobility and other health issues make me high risk. I'm so happy for your family that your new off-grid home and all your plans are making progress. God bless you and your family and community. We live in Arkansas and have family in Oklahoma too.

WOW......brought back memories many many years ago being invited for a huge banquet the Amish had at Xmas not far from where I lived. They taught me to make bread and the best fried chicken. I really had forgotten so thank you for sharing. Perfect names for goats 👍👍👍👍. Lily is a little beast racing around. Do think Gracie has given her the puppy crazies 😅😂🤣😂🤣. Always love watching you and all you do with animals and just farm life. I’ve missed it since moving back to city life and not by choice. It sure is a lot of work but does keep you healthy. That food looked so good. I always stop at the Amish store in Chouteau when on my way to Salina ok to my mom's property. She has 40 acres and rents some of it out for cattle.

I'd love to have a plate of those leftovers!
