Hey Lynn, I believe every matter must have a solution. Kindly advise the Lady to see the CCIO, the matter involved fraudulent transactions and should have been handled not by the OCS but the Dcio Buruburu. Again she can raise a complaint against the OCS to the Internal Affairs Unit at Jogoo House

I was conned Ksh. 3,000 by a friend. Boy, i felt stupid, lied to and immeasurable anger. Think now how Alice must be feeling

A friend of my mum was conned by her business partner. The business partner conned her 6 million. That was 10 years back.The person that was conned had a very sick baby in hospital then. Gertrudes actually . Meeeeeen they suffered. They had to move houses and all. They really suffered. But you know what? The lady who robbed her was her business partner and she immigrated to The US and thought she was smart. She went on to discover she had stage 4 breast cancer out of the blue and i think she is dying or dead. My mums friend was able to find her feet and made money and recovered. Treat people right.

5M in 2014 must be close to 15M today considering the current fuel price. It's a huge loss.. mine is a bit different cz it's about securing a job abroad🤦‍♂️. Am sure we're so many in this bracket and our dreams are still valid. May all cons suffer mercilessly

Oh my, I was also conned by cousin's friend a million Kenyan shillings. Never report a crime to a police station, just go straight to DCI at Kiambu road. Serious Crime Unit will help you awesomely. Madam enda DCI usaidiwe I feel you pain.

Aki Lynn, I was conned 500 shillings and I couldn't believe I fell into that trap sasa 5M I'd have died. I'm usually so scared.

When she said that the guys didn't even sleep there! (in the cell) My heart broke... I've never seen anything fucked up like Kenyan police.

Corruption is our (Kenyans) downfall Those police were compromised. The same way they traced the guys to the nyama choma joint on Kangundo road, is the same way they could have traced them after releasing them on "cash bail". May God avenge you my sister

To this beautiful young girl!! I can assure you, you shall look back and laugh about it. Tumeibiwa Sisi kama ndrama na vindeo mpaka na watoto wa who is who in Kenya way back in 2007! It is a learning curve. Let that be your stepping stone!

Was conned 680k and it took me ages to share and talk about it for fear of being judged. Police failed me too after walking to their offices for more than 2 weeks. Earth is hard.

How did you deal with this

I lost 3.1m and got depressed.Working day and night, saving every coin , sacrificing a lot of things sometimes going for one meal a day because I didn't have time to cook.Almost similar case from a friend who turned out to be a con.Anyway I rose up again ,I thank God, depression never killed me!

I love Alice, I watch her channel and I have learnt alot from her content. It's so sad when people prey on genuine business owners to steal from them. Hio pesa itawakula upto their 3rd generation. May Alice finally get justice. I was almost conned same way in 2017, thank God my partner came in the last minute and cancelled the deal before it went through

I have been conned in the past. I identify with her sentiment when she says that the conman is always ahead of the game. The book, "The richest man in Babylon" helped me in coming out of the shock and accepting the losses and moving on. The book changed my perspective about my attachment to money but also taught me about questioning deals and also how to go about accepting business losses coz at times, losses come through just poor business outlook.

i wish i could share a story about someone i know who has lost everything..(millions) to conmen.. sold everything including his own home, has taken aloan totalling to millions for gold business.. he's still funding the imaginary project with his little remaining salary.. it's reached a point where his kids can't even be in school anymore.. family cannot feed.. everyday "kuna pesa nafwatilia central bank".. it's been tough for 10 years now

I was robbed by a woman I had been in school with for almost 8 years over 20 years ago . She sought me out at my college residence,proceeded to snatch my handbag that I had placed on the table as we were having dinner of which I wa buying her . She ran off into the Nairobi crowd never to be seen again. she left me stranded in a restaurant with no money ,no Identification but I was lucky to have a good friend who came to my rescue . I learned the hard way not to trust just anyone . It’s so sad to think that if she was suffering all she had to ask I would have helped her. She stole about 3k and my Identification documents but I was in a position to help her with a lot more. She has since tried to get in touch via Facebook but I have rejected her friend requests . karma has done its job !!!

I can relate this story very well,just one yr ago exactly the same thing happened to me by someone I also kinda know....mine was more than half M but God has been gracious.

Lynn this new setup is splendid, the back ground is very magnificent, congrats 👏👏👍 Can a lawyer volunteer and help this lady, that's a very big loss and setback. Even the police & store keepers were compromised but with a good lawyer she can b helped.

I was conned 174 000 in 2018 ., askari wakanikula doh akashikwa sijui vile alitoka ndani Niliachia God., He always fights for us some battles ., juu sijawahi lala njaa. Siku yao itafika tu.

Thank you Alice for sharing your voice has spoken for many of us who have been conned and couldn't speak about it. 2015 I was conned 120k and as you have said I didn't know whom to share with as the police were helpless. Authorities have failed many of us!!!.

Thanks Lynn for presenting a different episode other than the usual broken marriages, domestic violence, or sick people.

One week later watching reminds me of a client Kenyan in States who conned me. It's a long story some pple close to me were involved too. I am so sorry Alice Kithome, l can feel the pain in your voice. Am sure you cried enough that you cannot cry no more. I also lost 800k to a contractor, it was the most painful thing l have ever gone through. It might not be comparable to your 5M, but the pain & disbelief that you have actually lost money is unbearable. One thing l keep on telling myself is that the Judicial System in this country may fail, but there's a God in heaven who is just, and justice is the foundation of His throne. He has seen, and when He says vengeance is mine, oh for sure it is His. Forgive these cons & wait for the vengeance of the Lord even as you seek further redress on this matter from DCI. Thank you Alice for sharing,I lost 200k over a pyramid scheme whereby I was introduced by a friend....it took me 4yrs to pay the money due was a Sacco loan.It pains me till to date

My story but mine was a road contract same script , still paying the loan to date....i realised the authorities were making me lose more than what I was gaining.... I thank God I healed and accepted

Am listening to you and I connect so well with your story . Get up , be strong. God always gives back and multiplies what has been taken illegally like this. I have a testimony to this , the one who suffers the after effects is the one who takes and enjoys other peoples sweat. That's cursed money. They always pay in ways that they will not believe. Judgement is not far.
