I've known someone who was unable to feel pain, (like literally born without nociceptors); life for him was, as he put it, a waking nightmare because he never knew when he messed up until he noticed, for example, that his hand was wet because he sliced a gash into his finger while cutting some veggies for a salad. Pain's there for a reason, kids.

I knew someone that couldn’t feel pain and he always told me that he wished he could feel pain because things would happen to him and he wouldn’t even realize it, example being putting his hand on the stovetop not knowing it was hot, but not knowing he was getting burned because he couldn’t feel it. He died of a heart attack a few years back because he didn’t realize he was having one until it was too late because he couldn’t feel any chest pain

Never feel pain at all would probably be hell. But the ability to manually turn it off and on anytime as I want, I actually wouldn't say no to that.

same here...i could wave goodbye to headaches from atmospheric pressure...living near mountains with atmospheric pressure sensitivity is brutal

I have a very high pain threshold. My whole family is the same way. I can walk off things that could incapacitate others and sometimes don't realize I'm bleeding. If I actually feel something out of the ordinary, that's my cue to stop moving and consider going to the hospital because something is very wrong with me.

If not selectively nullifying pain, then what about a Hellraiser type of deal where pain equals pleasure? You get shot and it feels practically orgasmic. At the very least you still have some idea of what happened to you.

"To each their own" is the best response to people who are against Vtubers. They think it's weird and we don't. Oh well. Keep it moving. Besides, we've all known at least one person who acts like Sinder and other Vtubers. Difference is they don't get paid for it.
