Holy cannoli, a dragon squat on a barbell. You have unlimited power.

Squat racks are inexpensive and much cheaper than blowing out a disc. If you hurt yourself, we would be deprived of your cool and very informative vids and that would cause my eyes to 😭😭😭❤️

I've never seen someone do anything like that. 😂 No excuses!! Cool stuff, keep it up.

Another safe way is to power clean into a front squat, then transition to a back squat position. As you practice you’ll be able to comfortably and safely add more weight, but definitely start off with less weight. Keep it up, David! 🙌

I only have a sophomore body conditioning class under my belt, but aren't you supposed to pick it up in front of you?

This guy already has fantastic mobility and body weight strength. For everyone else just starting out do not barbell squats w/ weight that you can’t clean and press. Invest in a rig / rack w/ safeties.

Bro you’re a beast I’m a little concerned though the safest way was probably the second option you had there but I’d definitely invest in some type of rack man. You’re flexible as heck and you’re awesome Id hate to see you get hurt and lose all the work you’ve clearly put in. Weight training is amazing and I’d love to see you a few years down the line buff and flexy definitely don’t want to see you with a cracked up spine

I see the clean has been suggested already. A rack is a pretty sweet thing to use as well. 😊

Yeah, i think with your current weights even a front squat would be a better choice that what youre doing for back squats. Just do a clean into front squats.

Pick it up with a clean - overhead press or push press it and put it carefully on your back.
