As a girl I would say he is accurate....sometimes I would want to wear the tight abaya or try to not wear the undercap or show my neck at times because I want to appear beautiful too....but then I think " how will I appear beautiful to Allah " and this usually stops me...regardless its not easy to stay on the right track in this materialistic and beauty obsessed world but insha Allah if we try our best Allah will reward us ...

Wow alhamdulillah. Im in the U.S and already know I’d like my walima to not include my family as they will cry that I’m an extremist and won’t like that I’ll want men and women separate, wearing modest clothes, not wanting haram music, and if I choose to wear niqab again they definitely wouldn’t like it and would be frowning instead of rejoicing on a happy day. So sad but we don’t do it for them but for Allah that’s why I don’t care. When families are like this, you control the narrative and stand firm on your faith because they can pull you away from Islam SubhanAllah.

Yes this is so disrespectful. May Allah deal with these people. Also we need to take some precautions as well. Either even in segregated weddings, wear modest dresses because even women can't be trusted with your privacy. They will take pictures of you and might show it to non mehrams, their brothers can see them in their phones unintentionally or keep no phone policies.

I have just some nature shots, flowers and such in all my social profiles. Random people ask me to send them my photos. I don't understand what is that, how come you just ask a stranger to send their photo to you. And when I answer that I never send anyone my photos online and don't display them anywhere because internet isn't a safe place and I can't control what happens with that photo, then they just don't get it and they think I'm hiding something bad or trying to scam them. I'm not even asking anything from you, why the fact that I don't want to send you my photos has become some sort of red flag?
