I am loving the direction that the heli's are being made. They are realistic, not too fast, crash mechanics/physics, etc... I love it.

That is quite nice. Way more immersive when you see the troops actually go into the heli

Somthing interesting would be variants of helicopters to use, like your regular transport with door gunners and maybe rocket pods, and than a medic variant to evac wounded out and to heal them out of combat

Not really but Just Practice and get a feel of the Helicopter. @@Chinokee

tbh it’s not even that hard of a flight model to fly. It’s durability is mental, I recon they made it way easier to fly because they have added Xbox support. All pilots do in reforger are bleed flares no J hooks :(

I literally j hook into main all the time the problem is it’s difficulty of controlling your aircraft through it the whole time and maintaining proper throttle. In other words a lot of heli pilots aren’t skilled enough to be able to reliably pull it off. Plus the Mi-8 is fucking bus compared to Huey which is agile as hell compared to the latter. You’ll see a Huey pull it off no problem but 9 times out of 10 your gonna see a Mi-8 crash tryna pull the same thing.

Whenever the opportunity presents itself in a live match, ill give flying a try for real. So much respect for heli pilots and a much better understanding of what they are capable of on the battlefield

This seems more like Arma Reforger. Squad has much jankier flight physics, helis feel like light drones or sth. Arma's always been a bit better at it except for heli damage model, now I'd say Reforger just has all-round more realistic helicopters than Squad tho. Like Reforger's landing gears n skids bend, you can't seem to be able to 360 noscope in a heli any way your mouse moves it; the vehicles actually have weight to em, and the damage model is roughly equal. Not comparing Squad to Arma overall, both are good in their own regard, but helicopters have always been Bohemia's department. Even fixed-wing Arma aircraft are sorta okay with the physics, sure, it's not a dedicated flightsim level.

Only way to land currently so it’s creating a lot of competent pilots having to adapt, they may add a flight model similar to the mods or battlefield(HOTAS) hand on throttle and stick for console
