I 100% guarantee you it is not a wind-up. I would 90% guarantee the caller is a Rangers fan the history of the situation go's back to the 80's when Souness was Rangers manager Rangers have been trgated with Anti English sentiment from Irish Republicans & Scottish Nationalists ever since to this day. So many Rangers fans feel disenfranchised with The Scottish National team & will permently not suport then & would rather support Nothern Ireland or England instead. Scotland is a very political & religiously divided place much more than people in England will ever understand English people dont see half of the truth of life in Scotland even if English people come on holiday they will only ever see what tourism board want you to see the Brigadoon version of Scotland that is not the reality of life in Scotland. Good luck to England from a Scotsman. I expect England to get to the Semi Finals & just fall short France are the team to beet. I am on the Rangers side of the fence, but I will be supporting Scotland & if Nothern Ireland had made it I would be supporting them aswell. The only problem most Scots have with England Is the media hyping England up into something they are not the media would have you believe the England players where God like far from the case.

What people in England do not understand is just how politically & religiously driven Scotland is. here is how it works If you are a fan of any club out with The OldFirm you will 100% be a Scotland fan. If you are a Rangers fan you will follow ether Scotland , Nothern Ireland or England. If you are a Celtic fan, you will follow ether The Republic of Ireland or Scotland. I am from The Rangers' side of the fence I follow Scotland & Nothern Ireland & if Scotland was to play Nothern Ireland, it would be the most default situation it would be like a battle between friends if I can put it that way but ultimately, I would want Scotland to win as it has always been home, but my grandparents both sides buy & large vame from Nothern Ireland except my Gran on my Dad's side. Why do some Rangers fans follow England is because when English clubs were banded from Europe Graham Souness & David Murray signed a lotvof Englishman & Rangers became a fucel point for Anti English sentiment in Scotland & so it remains to this day If you go to Ibrox Stadium on match days it would be no surprise to me at all if you seen some Rangers fans with England shirts on. In terms of Celtic The reason why the majority of Celtic fans support The Republic of Ireland is due to their heritage & and their clubs history. but some people from both Old Firm clubs will follow Scotland but I would say since the 80's that is the exception rather than the rule. Most Scotland fans follow ubs like Aberdeen, Dundee United, Dundee, Saint Johnstone, Saint Mirren clubs like that they dont tend to be Old Firm fans. Ally & Alan know the score full well up here they are just playing stupid like they do not because of the politics of the situation the show would not be on air long if they did & the angry calls would fly in they know this full well. The caller will be a Rangers fan, I would put money on it.

​@Ian-te3sq I have Scottish, Nothern Irish & Greek heritage we are all a mixture of all sorts of D.N.A. if you did a D.N.A. lest it would show you had lots of different Nationalists in your D.N.A. not just one. I have zero identity problems, and I am Ulster- Scots with a little bit of Greek blood & I mean a little bit but it is there. If you seen my Dad & Sister they look very Greek but have 100% Scottish accents. My Dad was mistaken for a Spanish speaker buy a Brazilian in Spain. My Sister has been asked if she is Spanish, Turkish & Greek in the past. My Mum went on Holiday to Turkey & the security officer at the airport would not believe they where mother & daughter my mum is like a milk bottle & my sister has sallow skin the security officer was adiment Sister was Turkish just could not get here head round the situation it went on for about 10 mins the situation. I support Greece in basketball because GB are never achieving anything in Basketball.

It would be tremendous for the group and shake it up no end if Scotland can avoid defeat. It might be a park several buses effort but they can and will be more expansive against the other two teams.
