Is that a thing? Like, all the warpstone in the world fell from Morrslieb, but then would there be large quantities of that warpstone "rain" that gets buried underground?

I love how in Warhammer Fantasy we have pretty much medieval knights and vikings on one side of the spectrum and the other side rats using machineguns, genetic modification, cybernetics and nuclear bombs.

@@tihomirrasperic As far as I know (and just tested in battle mode) ratlings have too much health to be killed by a single winds of death spell even if overcasted. Lost like a third of all health pool with no dead rats.

Imagine if the trees were destructible. Having the line of ratling guns tear down the forest to find the last few units would look sick.

Lesson learned: Don't get caught in force march on Legendary difficulty. Also, I never really thought of de-selecting control large army - I'll definitely be using that next time to avoid my reinforcements getting absolutely wrecked when they spawn. Thanks for putting all that warpstone to good use for me, you saved all my rats

I like how Legend finds it odd that the Von Carsteins are still kicking, meanwhile, all of my non-Old World playthroughs involve Vlad taking over Bretonnia with Wulfrick and Thousand Maws.

From my experience that is definitely the exception, since most of my playthroughs see Vlad on life support before turn 10 and utterly annihilated thereafter by Stirland and Averland; before they in turn get blitzed by Mannfred.

I get the same sorta thing were both vampire factions expand into reikland with almost no resistance. To the point that I end up fighting vamps as Bellegar

Generally I think that the Empire-Vampires conflict is the most balanced one on the campaign map. A few patches ago, Tyrion always killed the dark elves and the dwarfs always stomped the greenskins. Then they changed things up and now Morathi burns the donut every time and Grimgor gets Karaz-a-Karak by turn 20-30. In the Empire, however, you never know who's going to get the upper hand, things can go either way.

The last few order games I've played as the Dawi and High Elves I've had to send an army to keep Karl alive. I think it's because Reikland ends up at war on too many fronts and the AI just can't deal with it. The last game had them being hit by Rakarth, the Drakwald greenskins, Skarsnik, both vampire count factions, and Drycha. It seems either the AI Empire factions get some good early victories and cripple the vamps power potential, or they DON'T and then they eventually get overwhelmed by enemies on all sides.

I guess it's right after a confederation, seeing the amount of demolition over the end turn and such a fragmented empire. Might also explain the negative income.

Now i'm afraid-scared that what you heard-understoos is: "I want a lot of ratling guns firing at that dead-thing" what i said-uttered is: I want ALL-ALL ratling guns firing at that dead-thing.

The regiment of renown is unbreakable with charge defence armor and a high unit count. So yeah, quite decent at holding the line.

But Legend, I was told by Reddit that you just do the same strategy of hiding your army every disaster battle.

This map is in Warhammer 1. I've seen it, the same exact thing but snowy I believe.

Since the last patch the von carstiens have been hanging around much longer 3 campaigns now I've seen them actually conquer the empire by turn 70ish

In this one battle Vlad managed to absorb more warpstone than Thrott the unclean and mutated to a monstrous degree after which he later destroyed the world. Sad

Dwarves could totally adapt skaven tech, I think some reckless engineers have even little ratlings. In lore, they don't have it because they don't want to, dwarves are more conservative than the most retrograde of conservator you can think of, organ guns and flame cannons are hundreds of years old, and they're still considered a new dangerous tech. Heck, some dwarves like Thorek Ironbrow consider arquebuses and cannons, that were invented before his birth, as a new tech and an insult to their ancestors that didn't need all that fancy tech XD Plus the fact that warpstone is highly unpredictable, while dwarves hate unpredictability ^^

In my current campaign they were destroyed at turn 9! Really Vlad! I went to the workshop, installed the recruit defeated LL mod. The best decision I've done in this game. ... for same reason I'm playing as Kemmler and received refugees from my own faction, so I could have a double lichmaster lol

Yeah I love playing with that mod - only "issue" with it is that it affects the AI too, so you cant remove troublesome legendary lords without wiping their entire race from the map! xD

I kind of see why the guy went Overseer -he wanted to put 4 points to get to Extra Powder and for some reason he didn't go with speed for missile units. But actually Overseer is not that crap though it's very situational - sometimes I use Engineers as emergency tanks, Overseer affects summons nearby

If you're using the engineer as a front line it means you either didn't have enough frontline to begin with or your army is basically getting destroyed. Maybe after you engineer is like level 30 you could dump it into overseer but getting it before mobility, howling warpgale or missile unit speed is completely idiotic.

Isn't your lord generally going to provide more? Encourage only provides +4, and I don't think engineers get any more, Grey seers can get far more, with the standard +5 leadership aura skill & I am fairly sure there's another +10 somewhere in there. You can also get one of those high-loyalty evens that add another +10 & +100% aura, but that's not very consistent.

@@alexeyalexandrov7583 Engineers stay in the back, lord is in the centre, aura should be able to reach most of the flanks once he's fought a few battles. But Engineers have the same aura LD bonus as Plague priests - so there's no point in moving the engineer up.

I've seen the Silver Host taking over that corner of the map, including Clan Mors territory. They're intended to be Khalidas early punching bag but sometimes they just beat her and then get big.

That's a pretty odd one. I recently had an Ikit campaign where Boris wiped out both Karl Franz and Gelt before losing Gelt's territory to the Greenskins while he was busy with Rakarth. Gelt respawned and took back his starting province before getting destroyed again by the VC who were beginning to struggle against Clan Moulder before I confederated them. In an Yvresse campaign, Louen destroyed Karl (with confederated Gelt) and Boris while Mousillon, Ikit, and the Beastmen took the rest of Bretonnia. By the time I took Bretonnia for myself, Louen had lost everything except Couronne and Altdorf to Norsca and the VC. Karl isn't having a good time of things lately. My current Sotek campaign ground to a halt around Turn 80-ish. I didn't have much trouble conquering and confederating most of Lustria until I ran into Vashnaar's Conquest. They destroyed Cylostra, the Huntsmarshall, Skeggi, and Mazdamundi, and at their height they had 16 settlements. With Tehenehuan and Gor-Rok leading skinks, saurus, and assorted dinosaurs, I added a Stegadon doomstack and it was STILL a bloody slog for almost 50 turns before I got rid of Veshnaar,

Very late but that'd be awesome to have Skaven weapons team units having like a 1-5% chance per entity per team to just malfunction and explode 1-2 entities alongside it,and it would balance them a bit. Even now in immortal Empires they're fuckin nuts

Well it was bloody close. Like Legend said, if they managed to get just one cavalry through the lines the whole army would be a huge mess, in disarray, loosing DPS on other units that would get too close, which is like a "soft enrage" in Skaven Weapons Team battles. If enemy gets close you rats are done. That is why the CC is sooo important, throwing summons at the advancing enemies, having the air stunlock spell. That is what I like about Skaven, if every battle has a potential to be a major screwup if you underestimate it and fuck around.

the first, and far as i remember, only Skaven unit that has earned respect from Legend and they did it by dying and not retreating. (they also did decent dmg) to valhalla you rats

Tbh that Vlad army aint strong at all. Dude should of tried a second time and actually corner camp like Legend did rather than... hopelessly try to match him man for man. Black Knights aint the greatest of cavs. They are cheaper than even Ratling Guns IIRC and their shields are very weak. You can melt them very easily unless you misposition and let them catch up to you. But tbh the winning move was the corner camp. It is basic as fk but it works brilliantly vs the AI. The other problem was ammunition though but I guess you wouldnt have that if you have a warlock engineer in the army
