OMG! I just realized what the art used in the character portraits remind me of. They're extremely reminiscent of the Fire Emblem games from the GBA era

I've been following this game for 2 years and I just finished the demo. I am so obsessed. They did an amazing job. The art, the music, the concepts they are so great. Its so cozy. And the characters are so cool looking. I cannot wait for August!

I had finished playing the demo myself, and was looking to see your thoughts on it! I'm glad you liked it just about as much as me, haha! ^_^ A few things I think you missed if you'd like to know; one is when you were in the mines, and you asked how we were to get to the other side of a gap. You can just jump over those chasms. And speaking of jumping, you also asked about an animation in the water where it looked like a small circle with bubbles. That's a diving area; you can just jump straight into any body of water and swim down to collect things from the bottom when you see that. In fact, that's how you were supposed to fulfill that crawfish request you had accepted. At one point early in the video there was also a comment about wanting to catch bugs. You actually already had the bug net in your inventory, it was in slot 4. And finally, when you pull up the map, you can see little arrows at the edges. Those will bring you to the next area in that corresponding direction, so that you can find your way if you ever get confused or have somewhere to be. Hope this helps! I personally really loved this demo and can't wait for the early access!

Harvest moon snes nostalgia. The trees, rocks, farming animations and some animals look like the snes ones. Love it!

I played through the demo and I'm super impressed! Everything is so cute and pretty and it's a ton of fun finding bugs to catch and treasures and artifacts in the mines. The characters and writing quality seems to be really high too, which is relieving since there's been a ton of farming sims that are boring on that front. I can't wait until August 5th!

Yes, the writing and characters are certainly much better than in a lot of recent farming sims!

I have this game on my wishlist and based on what I see I'm very excited to try this tomorrow for myself! Also to answer your question about romancing the dragon statue if you look at the game's about section there's a part showcasing all of the marriage candidates with two out of the twelve having only silouettes, leaving them a mystery to us. Caldrarus may be one of those mystery romance candidates. Also if I have to give one complaint for the demo is with how fast time goes by they give us way too little amount of time to enjoy the demo.

Yeah, time does go by very fast! I wouldn't mind it in the full game where you can always play one more day, but I felt rushed during the demo. 😅

i've been following this game since it was announced on twitter so i was already fully sold on it, but you pointing out the dragon has a heart which implies they're romanceable made me need this game even more LMAO

I have also been saying how this is like Sailor Moon meets Link to the Past farming sim! And I am here for it! I love the look of the world as I love Zelda Link to the Past🩷 Very excited to try this game when it comes out!

I love the portraits, the walking speed and EVERYTHING! Especially the portraits.

I've been waiting for this for years as well and two seconds in I knew it was perfect! The character designs, the music and sounds (the rain! the emotion reaction noises from the characters!), the dialogue text sound etc everything about it makes me feel like how I did playing Harvest Moon for the first time

I fell in love with the game's artstyle! Funny I have not heard about his game AT ALL until the demo's release. It has lots of potential and I am looking forward to the full release!

The graphics have such a Link to the Past vibe and I honestly love it. I can't wait to delve into the full game in August.

OMG IN TWO MONTHS? I've been following this game for so long; I'm genuinely surprised that it'll finally be out now and so soon too!! That gorgeous pixel art definitely tugs on that nostalgia factor, and honestly, so glad that fishing is similar to Rune Factory. Those fishing mini-games always take up too much of my time 😂 I really enjoyed this video! It's definitely hyping me up even more for this game! Also, side note, I'm not sure if you've noticed by now, but I think that bug net had been sitting in your inventory the entire time. :')

just got done playing the demo as well. this game has so much charm. It's like studio ghibli meets harvest moon/sos. I love the magic abilities to make farming easier too. a lot of great qol features as well. i hope this game gets the recognition it deserves and not just known as a Stardew clone.

I like the idea of donating crops & flowers to the museum! They can be part of the display such as like when you see a caveman battling a sabertooth tiger with a spear: "Here are the lovely flora and fauna of the valley where once desperate battles were fought"

I'm loving the detail animation they put on characters even during dialogue and the farm land feels more natural to me cuz its not just a perfectly square plot. I wish we could actually sit on chairs eventually too

I’ve been looking forward to the game and really loved the demo, but I really wish it was longer than just three days… I would have liked maybe the first full week of the game to really be able to explore the world and do things. That or the clock each day needed to be slower.

I've been following the development of this game for years too. I'm so excited for this to come out and the demo looks great! I personally really love being able to change your name and pronouns at any time. The pronoun options in particular are amazing. I don't know of any other game that lets you choose he/they, she/they, or all pronouns. That's SO inclusive and it's cool being able to change them because that could be so helpful for people testing out whether they like certain ones for themself in real life. Ugh and the art is so fantastic. It makes me feel so nostalgic

I enjoyed it when I played. I did crash once though and I would lag when closing the inventory...meaning that I couldn't instantly start walking specially in a down or up direction. Otherwise I enjoyed it and loved the fact you can swim and also gather items in the water such as diving for seaweed or the little plants in the water.

I suggested a breeding mechanic to them to get different colors. I wonder if they really put it in. lol

i've been following this game for what feels like more than a couple years now, and it looks to be in a better state than i even expected it to! it has all the gameplay mechanics i look for, the art and character direction i crave, and basically everything i like. cannot wait to get my hands on it in august.

Hi Josh! I recommend you try playing Horticular game demo. It's a gardening/creature collecting indie game that I have been keeping up with for some time cause I'm very excited about the fact that it's game mechanics are supposed to be similar to Viva Pinata. It doesn't get enough hype imo and not many people are talking about it.

This demo was the first one that I truly loved. I play with controller, and I have steam deck. This demo was so good. I can't wait for this to come out. OMG so so cute and fun and the character can jump game changer.

I had my eye on this game for quite a while too! And while I liked a lot about the demo, I had a lot of performance issues, like my walking speed being really slow and actions in general being kinda slow to execute, and I didn't know if that was a me issue. Looking at your gameplay it feels way way smoother than what I experienced, which is weird because my hardware is not old by any means. I hope the final release feels as good as what I'm seeing in your video. In any case, I'll continue to try out the demo and maybe change some things about my settings. Thank you for the video!

Hi Josh!!! When testing the demo when I was walking around the city there were areas where the character moved slower, did you notice it? I love this game

I just finished playing through the demo myself, and I loved it. Just wish it were longer. Three days doesn't give a whole lot of time. Though the demo did crash twice on me. First time was when I was looking through the options menu, and the second time was when I was trying to plant some tulips. Hopefully it gets ironed out by launch!

Ive been following this game for so many years and im sooo excited, my main complaint is the demo just felt too short! I want more, but I guess thats a good thing. everything felt so beautiful and polished! I actually am kind of excited to have a new basic farming sim to play as, while I love stardew, im not a huge fan of its original art style and it's not very diverse, and sun haven felt almost too busy and overwhelming with all of the things to do, Fields of mistria feels so much more diverse and im obsessed with its art style!

I followed this Game since over 2 years and i was hyped... buuut idk its rly empty and not rly interesting for me. Other farming sims hooked me more. I think i wait for the 1.0 release and give the game more time to improve bc the demo wasnt fun for me sadly

Hope they tweak the intro a bit, imo too much cutscene and dialogue before you even get to walk around. Also i dont know why, but the color of the grass in general kinda tires me, i'd prefer something more like stardew valley's ground's colors
