I've Used 7 Different Hosts on over 30 Blogs... Here's What I Recommend

For hosting a blog on Wordpress, there are just a few things that are really important. Taking those things into account, we have just a few very specific recommendations for hosting. There are still 3 companies that we actively use and they're the ones we recommend for bloggers.
Cloudways: incomeschool.c...
(Use Promo Code ISPROJECT24 for 25% off your first couple months)
Bluehost: incomeschool.c...
Bigscoots: incomeschool.c...
This video will walk you through how to set up Cloudways for your site: • Setting up Cloudways -...
Have a question or idea for a video? Or maybe you want your site or a specific article reviewed. Let me know here: forms.office.c...
Check out Project 24: incomeschool.c...
Project 24 is our membership program that teaches you how to work toward replacing your current income with income from websites and KZread channels in 24 months.
Also check out our stupid fast and crazy functional Wordpress theme, Acabado. incomeschool.c...
Also, our current recommendations for blogging, video, and podcasting gear, software, and other resources can always be found at incomeschool.c...
Have you seen us on Instagram yet? Add us to see what we're doing behind the scenes: / income.school
Project 24 is a product of Income School LLC. Results mentioned are not typical. The trademark “Project 24” refers to the goal of some people to create a successful business in 24 months, but is not a promise or guarantee of that success. Many online businesses fail because, like any business, it requires hard work, skill, and dedication. Before making business decisions, consult financial and legal professionals licensed in your jurisdiction.

Ease of use and support are worth so much more than I can express - especially when you're trying to do your accounting, legal, marketing, and content creation. Being your own IT support when you started a blog to write is a head wrecker.

That's the biggest difference I've noticed between working in an office and working for yourself; working for someone else there is usually someone to help with the stuff you don't know how to do. You only have to know how to do your own job. Working for yourself you have to know how to do all the jobs. That's why 'Service' is such a big thing at the beginning when you're learning all the jobs simultaneously.

If you'd be kind enough to do a walk-through video showing how to set up transactional emails with Cloudways, and explain if its needed and if there are work around etc, it would be so very helpful.

Very enjoyable and educational video. Thank you. Any opinion of where a website such as this should be hosted... 1. transient: due to controversial (but not illegal) content issues, at some point it will probably have to migrate elsewhere; 2. newbie: absolute website beginner; 3. customer support: Excellent 'hand-holding', zero interest in technical features, just want to do writing and layout, and very slowly ease in to understanding how it actually work 'under the hood'; 4. very low traffic: for 6-12 months. Within reason, price and speed are not so important.

Definitely Cloudways. Probably on a 2gb or 4gb plan on VULTR high frequency servers. In the video I link to in the description I show you how to figure out what level you need. With Cloudways, as your traffic increases and you need more bandwidth, you just bump up to the next level for a little more cost per month. None of this jumping from $30 to $100 per month to get to the next tier.

@@IncomeSchool I think I'd prefer $30 and 7% lifetime commissions over $300. It's less upfront but long term much better. BUT I don't think you guys would recommend a product ONLY for the affiliate income, that's silly. • @IncomeSchool

So I did the math. If I got the average blogger to spend $100 per month (not gonna happen) it would take over 3 1/2 years to earn that $300 commission. It’s more likely that the average blogger will eventually spend more like $25 per month. In that case it’ll take over 14 years… That $300 today sounds pretty nice. Thanks for commenting. I appreciate you adding your insight. Just because there is an affiliate commission doesn’t mean the content is bought.

@@IncomeSchool that's a good point, but in order to get that $300 commission, the sale must've been alot. Even if that's a 50% commission that is a $600 sale. The conversion rate would be much smaller at that point, so $300 would be awesome but you would probably make less commissions. I definitely don't think you guys were bought, that's rediculous. You clearly did your research and found a great company and in return you make commissions on your referrals. There's absolutely NOTHING wrong with that and people watching your channel should understand since most of us do the same thing, that's internet marketing lol.

lol can you imagine a viewer of a channel LITERALLY designed to teach you how to do affiliate marketing getting mad at the creator for :gasp: practicing what they preach? If anything... this video may be better than 90% of other Income School videos because it is in itself a brilliant example/model to follow (will also being informative/applicable to this audience).

He's not a scammer, just trying to monetize his advice. Problem is, it's always hard to make these kinds of videos, because of high affiliate commissions for digital products and how helpful can you make a video to balance it out. There are always ethical questions regarding this, but they do give a lot of value through their videos. So, not a scammer, but again, Bluehost was never the best. Hope that gives you some idea what I'm saying.

Bruh, calling Income School a scammer shows you know nothing about the value they provide.
