I think this is a perfect fit for mechanics. Endoscope for inspecting cylinder condition, FLIR for quick misfire or plugged cat identification, and durability for falling out of your pocket on a creeper. This is great fit. I'd buy this in a minute for $400.....maybe next year when used options become available.

Be careful because criminals can use this thermal camera to get your pin number off of a credit card reader or atm machine as it's going to show where you pressed. That's why I always slide my fingers over other buttons so that more buttons show they are pressed. There was a artical on this where criminals could get a attachment for their iPhone what could do this and were trying to get people's pins.

This is a nice kit for contractors/construction/builders/remodelers as well as those that work on cars/trucks. The heat/cold detection can see where leaks are and the scope is great for looking in holes or if you lost a bolt down in the engine compartment or in the trunk near the fenders if you are a body man. Fire fighters or rescue type people could also use something like this, especially if you are looking for someone at night or a cat that has fallen in a hole or wall. I almost wish I had seen this video before I bought my Note 20 Ultra.

Use the FLIR to check electrical wires for different heat temperatures. Higher resistance means higher temps, and resistance should be the same throughout an electrical circuit. Mustie1 found an electrical component that was WAY too hot in a forklift, and replacing it solved the performance issues it was having. Endoscope can be used inside engines, especially to look at the piston and inside of the combustion chamber.

Honestly Lew I work in Maintenance at a 1million square foot warehouse with the first robotics system for loading and unloading pallets. And this cell phone would be amazing for all of us as a work phone!!

YES. the endoscope is a must if you own a house. It saved me a lot of time and money on some of my home projects. The down side to them is that most of them have poor resolution, and the lights are not bright enough.

I could see using this as a mechanic with that endoscope option, I've used some cheapish endoscopes on cars and they overheat and die, I wonder if this thing could last in those kind of environments. Also for PC builders trying to really dial in their cooling solutions.

I'm in the automotive industry. This phone could come in handy to diagnose wheel bearings, clogs in certain systems, the scope can be used to diagnose cylinder wall damage. The fact that it's dust proof is a nice touch, I've gone through several phones with cases on due to the harshness of the work environment.

@@Username-ld7ho Agreed! Had the Ulefone Armor 3T. After half a year the rubber started coming off from it's back as well as from all 4 corners and it was impossible to glue it back in since the material once off the body changed dimensions. No Ulefone no more.

The case for my phone I bought years ago. It's steel with thick rubber edges. It's fallen out of my big semi a number of times and it's a Tank! My flir attaches to the bottom, where the charger attaches.

I'd use it for lost precious metals on a beach. Gold & Silver will retain a heat signature long after the sun goes down. Two 👍👍 for you sir!

lets say you are a graduate student in a university wanting to observe a sample as it flows through an mplc/hplc system or possibly even detect defect in the system. Utilizing a hot or cold fluid relative to the tubing within and observing it on thermal could show its flow.

This is useful in getting pin of cards when someone types there pin in ATM.

Thermal is not good for finding wildlife. I tried chasing a squirrel with it (CAT S60) and it didn't pick up any signs. It's not like a normal camera where you can just zoom in and have a look in the distance. What it is good for is distinguishing between an iron that's safe to pack and one that will set your home on fire. You can check for heat trapped behind your fridge. You can check for insulation issues in/near your windows.

To have a speaker on the backside, it could actually be good. It could use table, or other things to increase sound with acoustics. It could help out with better base levels, and all that. Because of vibrations into the material.

I bought the ulefone 6 less than a year ago. It was really good when I first had it. I needed it as I'm an electrician and my phones always broke on me. But 9 months in the phone started to freeze on me and the only way to get it back on and working was to turn it off and on again. As I'm in the uk there is no place here where I can send it as it's still under warranty and the customer service staff in China asked me to send it there to be evaluated which would cost a lot. So therefore this has put me off buying another ulefone in the future

I've had an armour 7 for a while now and I absolutely love it. Huge battery, unbreakable, expandable storage, sub 350$. What's not to love

It's recessed so you can install the tempered glass screen protector without protruding. This phone is amazingly designed. especially with the included accessories in the box. Great flir if you want to capture somebodies pin on the keypad after they just left a terminal.... or so I've read.

This would be great for a mechanic as I have used both of the features this phone has on my car within the last month. And any mechanic shop worth anything is gonna have a laser heat gun and a scope to look into the engine cylinder.

When you walk around looking for covid.

Is it better than a specialized tool?

It would be a great feature to use in the woods when camping at night to see what animals are around.

Hi If you point the the camera at electric cables you can tell if some are over heating showing a potential problem.

Forest fire fighters could use the FLIR when walking firelines looking for unseen hot spots ie smouldering tree roots etc that are underground and not putting out any smoke. The fire hides waiting for an increase in air temperature and some wind to bring the fire back to life.

I'm a maintenance man and I can find many uses for such a device in my Arsenal. It would help me find leaks for plumbing, in HVAC, hot spots of electricity and depending on how far depth of view, it could see into a wall or behind a cabinet, etc.

That is one amazing phone... Very very practical. Really glad it exists. If I worked outside I would buy one.

Not at all, Mine worked fine just 1 week, after that the microphone for calls stopped working. Tryied many tricks but nothing. 6 months later, customer service contacted me and tryied to solve the probem. Thats the current status.

As a member of the community watch / CPF ( community policing forum ) I would love a phone like this . We often patrol in the dark and it is difficult to see people hiding in bushes and the thermal imaging would assist in finding them .

well, it's not the first with a flir tech camera. CAT already did it a long time ago. + they've got a lot of features for technichal & industrial use.

Ok this phone is my dream come true. Thats the phone for me. Hunting, fishing, construction, electrical, ufo hunting, paranormal, etc all kinds of stuff

Me: great IR phone Everybody in the comments: Cats and ghosts

"You need it?" No "Why you want it" To see the temperature of my cat sleeping "..."

One useful use for that camera is inspecting the house for thermal leaks and do something about it in in case the electricity bill is high.

I have the black view bv9800 pro, with flir thermal.... I'm an electrician... It helps with seeing through drywall and checking for live wires...
