Very nice change of pace Mr. De La Rosa. Have you ever considered doing a flounder gigging video? Floundering is my absolute favorite form of fishing even though it's more like hunting.

Good ol' crabbing!! My early days in Freeport, you could walk along the beach and net "monsters" in the shallow water. Caught many that were well over 10 inches. Had many crab boils on Bryan Beach in them days. Good eating and good times back then! Good video Marc!!

Such memories… 1955-56 6-7 years old. Mom boiling buckets of sea crabs for Friday fish fry night at our tavern on the polish south side of Milwaukee… me as a kid going through a bunch of em…. Mom did them whole and she would crack the shell and part of the innards were edible , with a touch of cocktail sauce of course.. loved your assistant narrator….

Great video, Mark, I live in Virginia along the Chesapeake Bay and blue crabs are a big part of our seafood diets. We like them steamed but we also fry them, by cleaning the crab the way you did, we then remove the legs and swimmers and claws, then season the body and roll them in cornmeal and fry in oil. They are delicious and you can freeze them and reheat them and they taste like they just came fresh out of the frying pan. We steam the claws while the crabs are frying and serve them as a side. Give it a try, you might enjoy them as much as we do! Take care and be safe!

this was interesting but I’m assuming the bays and marshes are too freshwatered out right now to do a kayak video? because of the floods on the Trinity and San Jacinto? Brazos is also super high, but not flooding yet I don’t think.

Yup!! that's exactly why me my wife and our 11 year old daughter always pick up trash when were done fishing and before we leave. not because we love picking up trash but because we want to come back and not find it closed on account of the mess. I agree, consider wearing gloves or buy you a 5 gallon bucket and some pinchers from walmart. don't buy dollar store pinchers, they're cheap and they break. we bought ours at walmart in the pharmacy section for $10. made from aluminum, not plastic, solid, they fold and last forever. when were done fishing, we load our stuff and make it a habit of picking up trash for @ 30 minutes before we leave and it's a good life lesson to teach or daughter for when she grows up to take care of the outdoors enviroment.
