Hello everyone This time I want to remake the old axe into an axe stylized with a copper dragon, which can be used, as in the old days, to chop and destroy ...))) After tinkering with it, I got a good converted axe with a beautiful drawn pattern with dragons, I also added a pattern to the Scandinavian motif of the axe. How do you like my work?
I took an old 1956 axe as the basis for my new axe, the axe was in good condition, but I didn't like its geometry, which I had to align. To this axe I decided to betray the form of the Old Russian axe of the period of the 12th-13th century, which I did. Cut off unnecessary metal. Cleaned and sanded. When the blank was prepared, I decided to put an image on it on the theme of dragons. After electrochemical etching of the drawing, I blackened the metal by the blackening method. After that, I made the copper plating of the drawing. When these works were completed, it was left to grind with fine-grained sandpaper and polish the restored axe. I was satisfied with the result of this work and I hope you also liked it.
I used the following tools and materials: pencil, ruler, awl, angle grinder, drill, grinder, orbital grinder, sandpaper, toothbrush, soda, solvent.

С меднением получилось здорово 👍👍👍 У меня недавно был печальный опыт с клеймом(( решил я его заплавить электродом, после этого вывел в зеркало, нанёс рисунок, протравил, а место, где заварил, ни сколько не протравилось😤 так и осталось зеркальное пятно(( по ходу электрод был для нержавейки! Вот и ломаю голову, что с этим топором сейчас делать 🤷🏻♂️

Спасибо 🤝🤝🤝, Электроды нужно подбирать у них хим. состав разный от этого такая шляпа и получается... Топор пошёл в копилку к опыту...)))

очень круто! Прям очень понравилось! А можно подробнее чем травите, какие токи и время травления. Сейчас тоже в процессе изготовления топора, опят первый, опасаюсь запороть.

Братец привет смотрю твои шедевры любуюсь красава , подскажи какой грунтовкой пользуешься , а то у меня она шулушится и какой кислотой темнишь топор перед покраской ,а то в нашей глуши кроме лимонке нету ни чего

Привет, перед покраской хл. железо. По грунту не подскажу сам ищу который меня устроит. Нужно искать с хорошей агдезией.

Перед покраской топора вы опускали лезвие топора в раствор хлористого железа, верно? А в каких пропорциях вы его разводили? И вообще для чего нужна эта процедура, почему нельзя сразу после шлифовки покрасить лезвие? Спасибо.

Вероятнее всего это теплая вода + лимонная кислота.

Здравствуйте! Раствор хлорного железа используете для одного топора? Или можно несколько в одном растворе вытравить? Где вы берете раствор? В продаже как правило паста.

Здравствуйте. Я в основном травлю в воде с солью плюс электричество. Хлорное железо использую редко, купить его можно в интернете, разбавляется он в воде. По концентрации не подскажу, опыта мало.

@@MihailKupec Да забыл сразу сказать. Меднение тоже можно локально делать электро способом. Так наверное будет более стойкое покрытие.

А вот интересно, через сколько времени после омеднения таким способом вы приступили к шлифовке поверхности? Я попробовал и через 10 минут пройдясь пару раз 2000й наждачкой, все омеднение слезло как фольга 😢 Может мало ждал?

Медь мягкий металл он стирается быстрее, я его наносил как декоративный слой. Есть и другие способы омеднения, нужно пробовать, искать... Сам этим займусь в свободное время

Можно, главное что бы сам блок потянул, у него может защита сработать. Если не получиться попробуйте автомобильный аккумулятор.
