first time hearing Joh Yamada and enjoyed his solo very much! Max Ionata I have heard many times on KZread and always enjoy his solos as well! Great performance by all, would love to hear them with a bassist and drums!

Joh Yamada and Yuichi Inoue are two of my favorite's in Japan! I didn't know Max Lonata, but what a beautiful sound. Very nice to hear all three of these excellent musicians

今夜富士Kölnでヤマジョーカルテットの LIVEを見てきたばっか‼️

山ジョーさんの上手いのはよく知っていますがMaxもホント音が良くて気持ちいいテナーですね。

All the Japanese people here seems to know the alto player, meanwhile Max probably has my favorite vocabulary and style of any tenor ever. I've been following him for awhile; everything he plays is so stylistically distinct. I could pick him out of a lineup any day. Especially when he plays turnarounds, I just can't get over how he hears those Pianist is absolutely killing too

ノリ方というかテンポ感が違うのが面白い。 せっかちに聴こえるか心地よく聴こえるかの違いを感じる事が出来る。

音の細い軽いのと太い重いとの対照的な演奏 フレーズ詰め込めばいいというものではないんだな

both nice players but the TENOR is far superior to alto.
