Just want to point out, don't mistake this for the MAG 321UPX. MSI said the 27 and 32 inch MAGs will not support firmware updates, which would make me weary as an early adopter. Only the MAG 341CQP and the MPG series can be updated. It's worth it to pay the extra $50 for the MPG version if you go with MSI.

@@AlexDicy According to their website, the USB C in the MAG 321UPX is only used as a video port like HDMI or Display Port. It also only has 15W charging compared to the 90W charging in the MPG. All the monitors I have owned recently use USB Type-B for firmware updates for whatever reason. Type A would be for peripherals, and Type C would be for video and power delivery. I learned that the MSI monitors will also shut down after they do their automatic pixel refresh instead of going back into standby mode. Hopefully, they will fix this next because that would be annoying to deal with.

This is the first time I've ever seen a monitor that looks like I'm looking through an open window.. Through a compressed video. That's amazing.
5:10 - A monitor like this deserves to be on an arm. After switching to an amazonbasics (rebranded ergotron) monitor arm setup, I will never go back. The range of motion combined with all the freed up desk space is so worth it.
Yeah good luck finding one. I recently was on the market and ended up getting the Alienware 32 as I could actually find it. But if you're worried about the curve, I've never had a curved monitor and honestly don't even noticed it after two days on the AW3225QF. Side bonus, with the gloss finish (as opposed to matte anti reflective), curve helps with reflections. So I'd take the curve just for that. But it's great that nowadays we're spoiled for choice with OLED.
I bought the 27in 360hz version of this monitor and I love it!! I just wish Discord would support HDR streaming, because right now anyone watching your stream sees a very washed out, bright image, and my friends and I stream our games every night. Unfortunately I'll have to keep HDR off until they support it.
OLED Care 2.0 is why I got the MSI version of this panel. It's a great feature.
Bald Plouffe has Default RuneScape Character energy and I'm here for it, someone get this man a Bronze Sword and Wooden Shield!
10:25 - I thought someone from the set tried to touch the bird houses (or props) i nthe video 😂
I have to admit, the footage from SDR viewer perspective is amazing here - at 10:44 I can see a pretty solid color reproduction on the reviewed monitor, despite me running older Dell U2720Q display.
I just stumbled across your video and you brought up a point I didn't even think about DP 2.1.. I have a 7900 XTX so I do want to make use of that. This let me scratch a couple monitors of my list of ones. Pretty much settled on the GIGABYTE AORUS FO32U2P, which has the DP 2.1. Thank you

False comparison fallacy. Curved TVs were stupid because you sat too far away from them for the curve to make any difference AND it impacted the viewing angles in a negative manner. It was a marketing gimmick that only detracted from the experience. The curve of a monitor at proper distances absolutely benefits the users, because it requires less head movement. In fact, you can technically move the monitor closer to you because you're able to take in more of the screen.

I'm a bit disappointed that the Lab section is so short and provide none of the metrics pertinent to gaming (input delay, detailed response time at various refresh rates...). Is this something that will be expanded in the Lab in the future? I really hoped the lab would provide detailed enough data, since neither rtings nor Hardware Unboxed (Monitor Unboxed) can afford to test litterally every monitor out there, so it would be GREAT to have another good source of thorough monitor testing!
This monitor looks like absolute perfection, like...look at how it looks on camera, it looks like an irl painting with moving objects, so, imagine how it looks up close.
Not even close to that price in Australia - we can only get it for $1450 USD
As a fellow early adopter of the AW3423DW, I feel your pain. I use two monitors and I would love to get just a tiny bit of real estate back with this monitor as opposed to my ultra wide. The ultra wide is nice and all, but I could do without the curve as well. This is tempting, not only for the higher refresh rate, but also 4K so I can put my 4090 to use.
I still wish they would put the buttons on the bottom front on monitors, especially the ones that have a kvm switch.
6:45 Yeah, but most people don't buy a VERY expensive monitor to own it for 3 years. I still have my old 24" 1920x1200 Dell that works well and I don't feel like replacing it.

My 14 year old 24" 1080p monitor finally died the other day, so this is why I'm here looking for an upgrade lol
Does the camera seem a little wobbly in this video compared to others? Very sick monitor, I think it's time for an upgrade.
Really looking at getting the new pixio oled monitor as I have had their monitors with 0 issues for the past 4+ years. One question I have is what is the life span of an oled monitor in terms of burn in? The warranty is good for 3 years but what is a reasonable estimate for life after that? Would hate to spend $700+ and need a new monitor in 4 years
Hey whats the colour fringing like? Because my 1440p qdoled has a big problem with it
I have the 34" myself, and the only thing I don't like is the missing remote like on other high end monitors
That thumbnail......Damn Ploof what happened 😂😂😂😂
As a content creator I'm definitely in team "I want a flat panel". Great to see options. Going to stick with dual monitor for now but... If one fails...who knows...
I'm waiting for more mini or micro LED proliferation. I wanted to do the QD-OLED jump because I like my OLED TV, but it's fairly horribly suited to my usage, which is having static elements on-screen A LOT, split screening A LOT, and a TON of text (something about the subpixel arrangement).
what mouse would be great with it.... what display options or cords should you use.... What gpu's should you use at minimum with it to make sense in its purchase.
in Australia the dell is about $400 less then msi and over 1k less than the asus. its wild the price differences for the same products outside to US.

Yeah it's over 50% more USD in AUD than what Americans pay.. Buying electronics here sucks when Americans get them so cheap in comparison. At least we don't have it as bad as some countries though where some things are 2-4x as expensive or more because of their economies.
The lack of upgradable firmware on this is a big concern for me. I want a flat panel but likely will not get this for that reason alone.
Can you do tests using USB-C cables for monitors? I.e. DP-alt mode. How high bandwidth etc.
What the! that screen looks like a green-screen replacement it's so crisp through the camera. Great work here! and also.. :( do I need this?
Over here in malaysia, we only have the MAG version with no upgrade-able firmware. Price like 1300 usd iirc
As someone who gets 3 monitors and wants them to all be the SAME monitor, the lack of portrait would be a definite deal breaker until i maybe get a monitor stand
I love that this has happened multiple times.
In Slovakia, all the 32s cost about the same, so I just preordered them all and kept the one that arrived first, which is the MSI. I'm a happy customer so far
5:40 mentions how its nice and thin.... after making a point of there being no need for it to be thin when its chunky in the middle anyway. Felt a bit odd, I'm guessing it was a sponsor point.
