Hello mate! Again great job!My question is not related today's subject...I wanna make a dumb ac into a smart one using a smart plug and a door /window sensor...Now come the question,I know it can be done,cz I already did it..THE QUESTION IS all this action ON/OFF /ON by action the door ,can have any affect on my AC(mitsubishi )..as long as I know ,this smart plug is react exactly like when is plugged/unplugged manually... Short answer: YES - it can be done Long answer - it depends on the ecosystems involved. Personally, a ZigBee plug and sensor would work well with something like custom coordinator and NodeRED where you have a full control over what happens when the door is opened. It's probably possible using existing ecosystems too as they allow for smart scenes to link several timers and actions with a single trigger. It's all down to how you want to do it

THEY ARE GREAT WHEN WORKING. WHEN THE RECHARGABLE BATTERY WEARS OUT AND IT EVENTUALLY WILL, YOU WILL BE LEFT WITH AN EXPENSIVE PAPERWEIGHT‼️ AFTER WARRANTY NO LONGER COVERS IT. THEY DO NOT HAVE A SERVICE DEPT. THEY SELL THEM, THATS IT. AS MUCH AS THEY ARE OVERPRICED, ONE WOULD EXPECT THEM TO HAVE A REPAIR DEPT TOO. THEY DO NOT. WHEN WORKING GREAT RESULTS.

You can still run them on external power. Managed lipo can last longer than you will ever care for them. The charge cycles usually listed with any batteries indicate storage of at least 80% after the cycles offered. So for a battery that holds 5h it would be 4h. It would take double or more to decrease that further to 50%.
