Watched enough of your content and what I've seen I think you made the right decision. Seen you excited about hitting your other driver but nothing like this excitement with hitting the Wilson. Makes me want to consider getting the Wilson.

Whatever works best for you. I play golf with someone who purchased a driver at the golf show. It was in a barrel with a bunch of others. They were all new but no name brand. That was 17 years ago. He hits it straight around 270. He paid 50 bucks for it and refused to buy a new one. He has a 1500 set of irons, not including his wedges and putter, so it definitely is not because he doesn't have the money. Like he says, if it isn't broken, why try to fix it?

Who remembers when Wilson were pretty much the best clubs you could get!? Oh take me back to the 80s and I'll happily have a full bag of Wilsons...

When i started playing in the late 70's WStaff was the cadillac of golf clubs.

I would just loft the ping down. Keep the great forgiveness lower the flight and gain ball speed from lower loft

The Dynapower driver constantly gets amazing reviews yet people often seem reluctant to put it in the bag, favouring the more "sexy" big 3 of TM, Cal and Ping. People forget the scorecard doesnt care what brand you're hitting. Great video alex, i really like this channel

Sincerely, it’s awfully looking. When I buy something, I want it to be both performant and nicely appealing to my eye. All other drivers look better.

I purchased the Ping Max 10k and absolutely HATED it! I averaged 250 total with my old Ping 400 Max, but only got 225 with the new Max 10k. After a few rounds, I took it back. I had the Dark Speed in mind next. But while I was waiting for a shaft change, I picked up the Wilson Carbon and instantly fell in love with it. The carry was 250, 270-275 total. Needless to say, I walked out with the Wilson.

I have used it for the past 12 months, great driver, gives me lots of confidence. Haven't looked back.

Wilson is stepping it up. But the QI max was the best for me during my fitting, so it is in my bag.

I got fit and got my Ping 10k today and absolutely love it, but now I see you with the Wilson, I should of tried it....Thanks Alex.....lol

Thanks for the review Alex, I have always loved wilson irons, I have never tried a driver of theirs. At 12:43your tee height looks low, maybe just the camera angle? Or do you usually tee it up a bit lower like that?

Sorry Alex but thats not the proper Ventus blue it must say Velocore on the shaft for it to be the legit aftermarket one, that's just a made for manufacturer shaft not the premium version.

Just got one. The carbon dynapower. LOVE IT

Have not tried wilson driver,im hitting mizuno stz that i bought 3yrs ago which replaced my taylormade sim drive . My stz is a fairway finder but now i my have to check out the wilson thanks for the review and helping my golf game

Wilson kicks out Ping. I love it, I suspected it. 👍how about a bit older driver the Callaway Epic Max LS, 2017 Taylormade M1 and Cobra Speedzone drivers? Not the Xtreme version SZ, just regular. These drivers kicked severe butt when our. Lol I still use my Epic Max LS it rocks

Tried the Wilson yesterday for the first time. Immediately felt heavier than my normal driver and sits toed in. Like you I found the flight to be perfect. I think Wilson missed the boat on this driver by pricing it slightly lower than TM, Callaway etc. if they did Cobra F9 pricing I recon this would fly off the shelf. I’m holding back as I hear there could be a new one round the corner. 🤞🏻 Great review as always

The Wilson was £120 lower than the Taylormade and £30 cheaper than the cobra.

Wilson is so underrated. I bought the D9 Forged irons, TG wedges & Infinite putter & they are by far the best clubs I’ve ever owned. But nothing can beat my Rogue driver. 🤷

Thanks fur another great review Alex. Since you said this is geared more for higher swing speeds what would your best option be for s bit lower swing speed? Say around 86mph.

I would say a ping would be a good option. Little more spin for a slightly lower swing speed will help you hit it longer

I've been rock'n Wilson for the last 3 years! Bang for the buck can't be beat!

My handicap has went down each year for the past 5 years . The one constant has been the same driver, which for me says I don’t need to change drivers every year in order to improve .

Interesting test. Nice looking driver. Maybe they should have branded it the ‘Wilson Dark Horse’, Alex?

Yeh true!!

I agree the ping has a very “tinny” sound and from my experience all their clubs are made with the idea of height and getting the ball airborne. However the Wilson, from my perspective sounded more solid and if you are after a driver with workability ie can draw or fade this sounds to have the answers. You certainly looked to have much more control of the ball with the Wilson than with the ping although the latter having more height would possibly be fairway finder on any tight hole. Although having just seen your golf swing I am sure you hit most fairways anyway. Great review by the way!

I’ve been really impressed with Wilson this last year or so. I think they should stick with Dynapower and Staff as their 2 lead product lines.

I had my whole set of dynapower fitted last year. My driver is titanium n I love it. The only thing I don't like is the hybrid. But the iron set n the driver A class. Coming from a high high handicapper. Love u vids Alex.

Still using the Cobra LTDX LS, bought it at a discount, i wish i bought a more forgiving driver but i hit the middle a lot. Had a lesson, stopped the banana slice and have it way more under control. It’s a good club. Just need to improve. In my opinion there is no quick fix or one peice of equipment that makes up for a bad swing and contact. I’ll keep my driver and work on my game

Thank you for this video I will be getting a new driver within the next couple of months and have tested the Paradigm Smoke, new Ping, new Taylor Made and new Cobra, I hit the Smoke the best. Thank to you, I will do some research on this Wilson. It looks like you made the right decision

I hit my Krank 3wood 13+ and then I asked for a hit of my mates new a Paradym today, sounded good to me, felt Ok hit it as hard as I would my old XXio and the 3 wood. and I couldn't believe how short it went, my 3 wood was 12m past it. not looking for a paradym , may look at the wilson, Qi10

Didn’t know Vice made range balls (11:01/17/:08) but I’m sure Wilson should be tried like all the other manufacturers.

Was it the Ventus shaft in the Ping tho ? Looks like it was the standard shaft option

No correct it wasn’t but that’s the setup I was gaming in the ping and liked the standard shaft to be fair

The Wilson driver seems great! By the way their new blades are probably the best looking Players Club I've seen in 10 years! Check them out, even their game improvement irons are a handsome set!

I hit the Ping in the fitting video, now gaming TM Qi10 - the ping wasn’t consistent or forgiving enough for me

i have the titanium version and i tried all the top drivers last year i did find the carbon too low spinning but im a 19 h/c . Not only does it perform it was a lot cheaper than its competitors . Nice to see Wilson being tried

Get rid of the Ping(over priced media babble) In Canada Ping 10K $879.99. Wilson Dynapwr Carbon $599.99. Even the Cobra Darkspeed is only $699.

You can‘t compare heads with different shafts. And range balls are complete different. I allways wonder about these computer guys.

Frankly, I've had it with the latest "super drivers". I've got 9 of them in the basement, accumulated over the years. I bought the Cobra F6 driver when it came out with good reviews. To date it's my favorite. When the F9 "best driver in the world" came out I bought it, thiinking a significant step up from my F6...NOT! With my F6, it seems I can hit it just about any place on the face and not lose anything. Not so with the F9, which I played for most of a season. Oh well, I guess it depends if you want to spend hundreds for an extra 3-5 yards, not even a club length for your second shot.

Another story about driver sound. In my collection I have an old Cleveland all titanium Launcher driver. I remember going to the range to warm up for a corporate outing. After hitting a few balls with this driver, those next to me asked if I ever use ear protection when teeing off. Ear-piercing loud!

Switched from TM Stealth 2 to the Wilson Carbon after a Wilson Demo Day at our club. Would never tried that if the Wilson guy did not insisted and I wanted to be polite. Best driver I have ever hit. Goes farther and is much more forgiving. Just because you don’t believe it doesn’t mean it isn’t true 😂.

Remember people. Unless your swing is exactly like his. The best driver for him may not be the best driver for you. You need to test them yourself. Everybody’s different.

I guess people don't consider Wilson because they are a sports manufacturer vs. a golf manufacturer? Or maybe the department store sets? If you have these biases get over it. Wilson golf is doing some great things.

Not gonna lie, that ventus doesn't look like its got a velocore on it.

Would like to see a review of the titanium.

100% a range ball. I used the vice ball on the close up as I use these golf balls in all my videos. Trust me I can’t afford to hit premium golf balls like that down a range lol.

Feel like you talk wayyyy to much, hit the balls and them talk about it. Don't hit one, then talk for 5 mins then hit another. Kinda turned me off. Just my opinion

I’ve just got this driver and it does feel as good as it looks. Definitely an underrated club that should be tried alongside the big guns and a brucie bonus it’s also a lot cheaper 👍

Besides it not being a proper Ventus Blue shaft, whatever type of launch monitor you're using is rubbish also. Your first swing was 1.49 smash Factor and it was a mile away from the center of the Club face! Impossible.. also there were times when you had the exact same spin rate and smash factor and Club head speed and it was 12 yards different in yardage! On the other side there were times when you were 5 mph slower with a worst smash factor in the ball went farther than the previous drive... also I've seen you at a supposed 1 1 4 Mi per hour Club head speed and today starting at 1:02 and going to 108 tells me that thing is a piece of junk...
