Why is watching Pete change hydraulic oil and two filters so satisfying ? I don't know either but it just is.

Summer colds are the WORST! Keep recuperating and don't sweat the videos. We will wait quite patiently.

You are the guy everyone is looking for when searching for a used piece of equipment.

Just a thought from a long time heavy equipment mechanic about the mini x. When checking the hydraulic level, make sure that you have the correct position of the boom, dipper,and bucket as per your service manual. When the oil is cold, I like to fill the oil to the add level then run it to warm up the oil. With a closed pressurized system you want to leave room for expansion. If it doesn’t have room for expansion it can’t circulate and cause the oil to heat up and harden the o-rings,cylinder seals,and hoses. Then make room by blowing something out. The weakest link, have a good day.

Particularly enjoyed this video for its work on your new excavator. I have so wanted one of these over the years for my farm. There are so many uses for an excavator on a farm! But at the age of 72, watching your videos in which you use & maintain an excavator will likely be the closest I will ever come to experiencing the joy of having an excavator. So ...
