awesome to see the process behind this one - I would have never guessed the video wall was so small
That quote at the end is brilliant.

Thanks for the behind the scenes. Very helpful to understand the possibilities!
Everything looks good but I'm very disappointed about not tagging in your bio the other part of the crew, 😞 so.. all directors underestimate vfx artists like Christopher Nolan?

Clarification- Christopher Nolan does not underestimate VFX artists. He knows when to use them tastefully

great thinking process.
Im stocked with your videos! Mostly how good your usage of color is! When I see your treatments my typoheart gets chills! Your narrative, tone and storytellin is top notch! Im happy to follow along your path 😍
I am an award winning director and my film couldn't even breath in the same room as yours so i would i just like to say you are sick!!!
That is incredible!!!
This is super helpful and informative! I'm trying to make my own virtual production short, and it such a long process. What you say about the dynamic range of screens was very interesting. Thanks!

Realy don't know what to say but you inspired me a lot and gave me lot of positive energy to keep going Thanks dude! ♥
WOAH
Hey Nur! Thank you so much for the breakdown of the entire process, extremely interesting stuff. It's so important that you describe the highs and lows and not just a glorified hype train all the way to the finish line (it's never like that). The film itself has an excellent message and was enveloped in very coherent and thematically sound visuals + audio. I'm really surprised with the size of the VP set you had, since in the film it definitely feels bigger. The limitations of the set can be felt, but they don't distract from the overall product. If I may, just a few things that affected my enjoyment of the film negatively: - The scenes with CG characters stand out from the rest in a distracting way. The models don't fit the environment very well and I feel it's due to the general low quality of the models (plasticky topography and textures, floaty placement with disconnected shadows) and a repeating simplistic animation sequence. - Some CG environment scenes have rather heavy rendering artefacts. This is probably due to you saying that you had to render it 200 times. Maybe ran out of time? All in all: super cool project and everyone involved probably learned a ton (including us viewers). And you definitely got some excellent scenes and stills for your reels! Greetings from Finland, - Kaarlo

Hey Kaarlo, Thanks for such elaborate comment. I agree with you on all the things you pointed out. Definitely thing to look out for when it comes time to the actual paid gigs. Cheers! 🙌
How did you do the shuttering affect? the sequence of black frames coming in and out so fast?
@nur-niaz
5 ай бұрын
I put a black overlay image on every second frame on my timeline. then I made a nested sequence out of it, so it becomes a single clip. and then I just tweaked the opacity to my liking with keyframes.
Looks amazing! How much for studio with screens for UE? Is it located in Moscow?
@nur-niaz

Hey thanks. No, it’s in Almaty. We didn’t pay anything. But we chopped out some BTS content from our shoot for them. They just started the business then and needed content more than anything.
very nice work. did you use the vive mars or just the vive trackers by themselves for the tracking?
