“It takes one video” -Vonix 2019 Don’t lose motivation, been rooting for you since 2016. And when you stopped uploading in 2021, I kept checking back on discord, twitter, Instagram and KZread every single month to see if you came back. I Even would rewatch your old videos for nostalgia. You got this man.

I feel that KZread Shorts are really popular these days because they are short and expressive, and people don't have much time for anything longer. That's why I am recently trying to make expressive content (and after I post it, I use a little bit of famester as well).

I really appreciate that man. Im still not 100% what I’ll do if I don’t reach 100k. I was originally planning on quitting, but I’ve been enjoying making videos again so much I don’t think i’d be able to quit. But we’ll see.

i was thinking about it and its absolutely crazy that ive followed this guy from 3000 subs. How him unlocking dark matter camo at such a young age made his channel sky rocket; Even being involved in his 5000 sub QnA and now him having 85.4k subs. Im so happy this dude it still pursuing his career and im so keen for this channel comeback :)

The thing is: jump on trends. I jumped on a chat gpt trend where it shows you images. Start small on something basic and get chat gpt to keep intensifying The images. One video hit 1.2 million views. After that I stopped getting shorts bumps at all. New videos get pushed to subs first... And they aren't doing well because I went viral in India.. .

Bro thank you for being so real about this. I started 15 days ago from scratch and I’m currently sitting at 47k total views and 62 subscribers, and I’m going to stay committed for 100 days like I promised myself, before I give up. My goal is to monetize and I’m hoping by the end of the 100 days I’m able to. Excited to for the rest of your journey! Good luck!

I appreciate that! Making that table is super useful, especially when comparing the same content uploaded onto different platforms, it can give you a lot of insight into how each platform's algorithm acts differently from one another

If I have episode shorts do you advice to put sane title,hashtags, and sane short tags for each uploaded shorts ?

If you're doing episodes I do think that having the same title could help some viewers find the subsequent episodes but in general for the algorithm I don't think the title will have a big effect on performance. As for tags and hashtags I don't think it matters too much, but keeping them the same probably won't hurt.

No. Re using the same title isn’t the best idea it over saturates the search and stops pushing your old ones. Maybe use a similar title but your first few words different then the shirt from before hand

You started uploading shorts at 84K subs. You'll automatically gain thousands of views per short. If you started at zero subs, you're shorts would tank permanently.

Not really true. The vast majority of my short views are coming from people who are not subscribed and have never seen my channel before. But you're right that having that initial subscriber base probably helped KZread decide to push it out. It's impossible to say how the videos would have performed on a brand-new channel though.

Just wanted to air out some thoughts. I come from a perspective that doesn’t really have a right to speak on your channel’s growth, however I thought I could still contribute as a rather loyal fan I’d like to consider myself. I know you pay attention to analytics very closely and that is extremely common among creators, one thing I’ll say is you need to stop chasing the clicks. Following trends can get you pretty far, but it is at the cost of artistry and identity. In my personal opinion, I think you need to begin to rebuild your audience and the identity of your channel. At this moment, your most loyal subscribers do not really know what your channel is about. You combine gaming, technology, popular trends, and I think you may be spreading yourself too thin at the moment. I’m not saying you should stop or change what you’re doing, but consider a stream or a piece of long form content every once in a while, I’m not saying stream three days a week but maybe like one weekend stream to actually hangout with your audience and develop a unique relationship using the short form content and other social media to bring new viewers to your main channel. No matter what you choose, I’ll be there along the way and I hope that you don’t give up or burn out. Just have fun with it. 👌

I didn't get a huge amount of view or anything (most ive ever had was 12k) but i also had a bunch of mini bumps followed by a huge bump of like 8k, i never want the bump to end but it always does in the end :(@@vonix

DID YOUR UPLOAD time have an affect or your hashtags??? I did a little week long challenge a bit ago and had a few shorts hit over 30k. Seemed pretty good for my tiny channel.

30k is really impressive, good job! In my experience, the upload time had no effect on performance, I experimenting uploading at different times but I didn’t notice any difference. Same thing with hashtags. Even though I didn’t experiment too much with hashtags.

I did a quality AMV for the first time in February and got 101k views overtime, and it's still getting around 100-150 views per day. I returned 2 days ago with another AMV and this time, it died after one day, going from 60 views per hour to 0 in 3 HOURS !!! Now it's stuck at 1200 views. I am getting like 10 views a day with the actual pattern. I'll never understand this algorithm and it's depressing.

I got to be LIKE number 777....lucky. Oh, What's that? You don't believe me....well the commercial that played said I just won $2,500 to put on solar panels.....Now if that isn't proof that I'm super lucky....I don't know what is! ( Gotta go.....the movie is starting! ( tHanks for posting))

I have been uploading shorts consistently for 10 days ,but still no views, if i upload videos again consistently for 30 days will i get views?

In my experience I’ve posted the exact same shorts on two channels one got hundreds of views the other zero to very small views - they seem to be inconsistent from my experience

Thanks for your story. Still trying to figure YT shorts out. I’m not buying that KZread shorts is not biased somehow. I got some videos pulling 400k-500k views on TikTok that struggles to get 1k view in YT shorts. It’s illogical.

What I’ve learnt is that it’s a combination of a good viewed versus swiped away, meaning having a good hook and retention/watch time. There’s no “key” but those two things seem to be the biggest factors, at least for my shorts.
