To be fair to Lego they do restrict themselves with design rules and budget constraints. But it is fun to see what someone can do without those restrictions.

Yet he can't mass produce it, like Lego does. The reason why Lego mechs are the way they are is because budgets exist.

By the thumbnail, you can't really see much difference from a first glance. But I see that has a good thing. He's kept it simple without making it way too complex. Well done mate 👍

This reminds me of that Lloyd mech that came with one of the books. Very sleek, but not in a scrawny way like the marvel mechs can be.

Love it Chubbybots! Thanks for the added nuances of seeing into some of your organization bins and adding the part number. I would love to see more of that! I am trying to organize the Legos I have and build mechs but am a bit fuzzy on how to start and parts to use. Your MOCs are very helpful for giving a baseline.

I would love for Lego to produce a box for Mecha builders, with joints, articulations, brackets, and everything else needed, even if it's just for the " core ", the frame of the mech and then to produce different box of different colors to plate them... Like 30€ for the frame box, with only grey elements, and enough to build one advanced Mecha and a smaller one and 10€ for the plating box, this way we could have for 50€ something to build various Mecha with decent color scheme to our convenience... ( The plating box would be of course with only pieces of one color, but there would be various colors edition of the same box... )

Lego needs to hire this man to improve their sets and make them look more detailed and less basic.

You can see the big difference when you look closer but the design is the same just more optimised and improved you fixed it where Leto got lazy they got especially lazy with the legs

This is the perfect 15 $ set with a serpent minifigurr with some weapons.

Seeing your Lloyd builds, I can say you need to do an MOC Wind Dragon! Its the one from season 9 Hunted ;)

I got into LEGO a few months ago when my 5 year old son got into building, collecting various sets. This one was ordered for him last weekend. I'd love to do this up-grade build with him for the new set as well. Would it be possible to get a complete list of larts used so that I could order them on-line for him ?

this set was meant for a junior set hence the larger proportions for easier handling
