I really love this concept, next time you should try no stability + remove no-build in monuments! creating a PvPvE area for the raiders

I’ve been playing CS:GO at tournament level and I had around 6k played time throughout my career including screams, tournaments, competitive, Faceit and ESL. Anything beyond that mark… who the hell are these people, where do they get money to play that much?

Before the second raid started they were not listening so max probably just got annoyed with them and there was probably other things they did aswell that he didn’t show us so he probably was harder on them for it

This is a great way to challenge both raiders and defenders. Both teams, great jobs, well done. Sir, great idea both teams are out of their standard game style, it will change not only look at how they look at their game but go about attacking and defending in new ways. Again all GREAT video and well done!

Also really telling the raiders where the defenders hit their rockets was ridiculous

I love this concept and would love to see you do it again in a future video, but if people have time to theorycraft this I do fear that someone might wind up just building a full grid mathematically unraidable sky cube....

Yea I agree seemed really unfair tbh. Especially the raiders have more rockets than they need and can just rocket non stop anywhere. So either let then have the furnaces or give lot less rockets. This giving raiders to many rockets is boring anyways bc anyone can just pumble a base compare to playing smart

It didn't make a difference either way, but I deleted them because the TC isn't accessible if you need to emtpy the furnace, pick them up THEN place the ceiling piece to open the bunker. I stand by my decision, I knew it'd upset people but I'm not gunna lie to you guys and pretend I didn't do it. No one has ever had to move things to open a bunker unless they're about to go offline, and while this video isn't super realistic, I felt like this was hiding the TC a bit too much and ultimately unfair

@@MaxsRusti would agree with you if there wasn’t 8 raiders with 100+ rockets they can blow thru it and they did there was nothing stopping them with that many rockets you make so many rules that are absurd and make the whole experience boring and makes it look like your micro managing especially deleting walls and stuff that the defenders make the whole point is to let then be creative and your killing that it’s boring and very one sided

Isn't that the raid where they needed one more rocket to TC. So it doesn't actually matter the amount of rockets they had doesn't actually matter

The no stability raiding looks like a lot of fun and it adds a crazy dynamic to raid defense

What I notice bout Max is he isn't really fair. Why delete the furnaces all bc the defenders are smart?. Especially when thw raiders have have a massive amount of rockets and can just pumble in general. So why not let the defenders have cheeky things. Kinda unfair if you ask me. Always seems to favor thw raiders in every video.

​@@Peekqs He said the tc had to be accessible and if you look, when they were raiding the defenders still had the wall on the wrong floor, so the bunker was inaccessible anyway. So they cheated regardless.

Hey! Great stuff. A week late to this party, but this was an excellent idea for a multitude of reasons. The idea of removing stability opened so many new options and ways of thinking around both offensive and defensive maneuvers and building techniques, all within Rust's own systems. It was interesting to see how much each group was willing to divert away from their normal building techniques and embrace something completely new. Everyone had to think outside the box with this. I haven't played Rust in many years, probably not since 2019 at the latest, since I have a real full-time job and frankly Rust is exactly that; but I keep up with the game as much as I can, and I love content from this game I will probably never play myself ever again. If I had to make a few changes, i'd give groups who have either not played this challenge before, or were unaware of it before going in, significantly more time to build, as well as a grace period at the end of building that allows them to make smaller changes like wires and kit placement. The teams seemed to naively go in with a base design already in mind, and I think the relatively short time limit may have put too much pressure on them to let them think they can afford to abandon a "normal" base and go with something more wacky. If I was in this, and learned I had only an hour to build, i'd probably also go the route of "normal base I already planned, but like 2 walls above the ground" strat too, since a new base "on the fly" would take a lot of time I would not feel I could afford to burn. But that's me personally. Absolutely loving how quick the fortnite offensive strategy overwhelmed the High-hours base on the roof, but the Mid-hours could actually hold it off, if even JUST BARELY. Newbies, of course, got crushed, but I do absolutely love their upbeat attitude throughout. Keep up the great work, I look forward to your future stuff, and REALLY hope to see this particular flavor of challenge make many returns.

I would go about it by building up at height limit, putting all of the turrets on the roof facing inward, and reinforcing the bottom and sides the most. Make it to where the only way they can get on the roof be ladders and helis, and I think that it would be easy to hold. Also, honeycomb pancake layers on the bottom, with the entrance being on the roof, with a snaking door path to the bottom peaks.

Really cool video idea with so much potential, maybe if you added a rule like "No previously built bases or similar to" then they would have been encouraged to really utilise the no stability and make something wacky

We really need to see aloneintokyo in one of these videos, maybe put multiple solo's up against the raid team?

I lived the video. It was fun to watch and loved how the raiders had to think whats the best method is. Few suggestions; give a small amount of boom to the defenders. Most 10x is very common to fire rockets back at the raidbase slowing their advance. I would also pick teams where there is an electrician. Its so sad to watch people just not using the turrets. I myself suck at PvP but defended an 8man as a trio by remoting on to turrets/traps :)

i would like to see more vids like that with wacky scenarios. next time you should give the teams like an hour in advance before they get on to kind think about what they are going to build before they hop in game. im willing to bet the theory crafts will be insane. no stability was one of my fav things to do if i ever had the chance on a server which was only once lol

Fortnite in Rust lol, I loved it, it was fun but idk I feel this can get out of hand very quickly. If you plan on doing it again as a fun event, I would put serious thought into builder restrictions and let raiders go ham on them. But as a concept, I love it!

Give the defenders at least 20% of the rockets the attackers get. Otherwise it is just a wooden roof and the attackers are going to shoot the rockets over with no counterplay. We saw this with the 250 rocket base. That was enough rockets to destroy almost all of that base but the raiders missed or lost 50% of the rockets. Quite a terrible job by the raiders. And the 8 people is quite a lot since they have basically unlimited helicopters and such. I think 6 raiders would be more fair since they do get a lot of rockets and they get 45 mins as well. But yea, just really boring to see that the defenders have to wait while the raiders build a wooden ramp over and just rocket behind it. Maybe the raiders shouldn't be able to build up? Would be more interesting to see them shoot the turrets out and then dive with helis rather than them hide behind a wooden roof and just spam rockets with literally 0 counterplay

And do like 20% damage for rockets since 250 rockets on a decent clan base that only has 50k metal will shread the base. And you gave them a mlrs, they have 4 launchers. That would literally take like 5 minuets of pummeling and boom . A big hole in the base. Just sad to see how it isn't balanced for fun at all. The meta for the defenders is to try to steal the rockets or just 24/7 shoot the twig so the raiders can't get up. And the meta for the raiders is just to build up and hide behind a unkillable roof and spam rockets until all the all of the base is destroyed or the defenders are on timers

You should do a submarine battle, but with the water graphics turned off so we can see them clearly. Or a heli race

Max do an event where the builders and raiders are releasing like 20 mins apart but on different sides of a big map and they don't know where each other are but each start with a 2x2 with all gear and materials and some extra scrap in it,so no farming just raiders hunting down defenders as they try to build a base fast enough and good enough, let builders pick there starter spot and put raiders far away

eyo max, what if you made a vid where you can build in no build zones? so you could use unbreakeable stuff as part of your base like in ark :)

in theory you could buld a Reverse Bunker. One where the Bunker is at the Top of Build Limit, and the lesser walls are Down towards the base.

hmm, I think it would have been funny, putting hundreds and hundreds of fireworks inside one of the base rooms. so when, the raid was about about to start on that base. Light them all off. Try to Lag the Raiders and perhaps get them to lag out from the game.

8:44, a Massive square may not be a bad idea... You could do it With mutiple trapped rooms like the movie CUBE.

Aye max so i dont have rust but i been watching alot of your vids they are very interesting but i see u have many players build but can you do something where you build and players see if they can defend your base you made you give many tips to players building maybe you can explain how you build and what you do idk just thought that idea would be interesting

heres an idea, have them build a base, then for raiding and defense give each team a set of currency, and put a price on every item in the game, and they use their currency to buy what suplies / vehicles they want

good rule for ya. Per TC (specifically main tc and external that's connected to the base, not no 1x1 tc) should be given 'x' shotgun traps or traps in general. This should help you and future vids
