I transformed my IKEA Trofast storage unit so it could be used as storage for my christmas decorations, as well as christmas decoration itself! I decided to turn it into a staircase/ Elf on the Shelf house!
TO MAKE THE DOOR:
An old cabinet door (cut thinner with hand saw)
varnish remover
drawer pull
cabinet door handle spray painted gold
white trimming
stanley knife to cut trimming
red paint
small christmas wreath
staples to attach wreath to door
plywood
TO MAKE THE BANISTER:
wooden dowels
dowel pins (metal or wood)
angle trim
super glue or wood glue
saw to cut dowels
wood stain
TO MAKE THE EXTRAS:
elf post postbox
small lantern and led light
glass privacy sticker
wardrobe jewellery box & white paint
wire and screws to attach to wall
TO MAKE THE STEPS AND THE WALL:
screws and drill (i suggest getting screws in a few sizes)
