Got to be really inefficient with that way the stator is wound, the flux is not going though the secondary properly.

I have been dealing with electric motors for quite a few years now and I can say that it is impossible to make a transformer from the stator of an induction motor using the method presented here. This can be done in a simple and effective way to make such a transformer work, but the author of the video prefers to mislead viewers by presenting useless and non-functioning structures, I can only regret this fact.
