Imagine if the new competitive modifiers (eg. Uphill Battle) considered who you picked into the enemy and whether or not they countered you. It would be pretty easy in theory, you'd just look at relative winrates and who was playing what when.

@@Fasteroid Don't think it would work well because people can constantly change the heroes through the match. And it's not just a 1v1 between roles but a 5v5, so it's hard to analyse "this hero counter this" just looking at their Win Rates. Doesn't seem very cool to win more/less just because you character happens to have less wr than the opponents' character instead of making an improved system to judge your overall perfomance

The percentage is purely visual, your MMR change underneath is more than it shows. Demotion protection is a purely visual thing which keeps your rank out of sync with your true MMR so you often get very small increases at low percentage in case you lose and should be GM4 but protection keeps you in GM3.

@@duiwu3684 Many people just don't understand MMR systems and how almost every single competitive game uses the semi same system and visual rank, while being displayed differently throughout different games, behind the scenes it's the same system that is derived from professional Chess.

So when does ball get a numbers increase buff instead of the nothing burgers you give him more mobility but don't adress all the cc that counters him and abilities that break mines the character is becoming more and more of a meme than actually playable

who needed an extra 20% fireball? for what? to get back to the action .5 sec faster? nobody is adjust retracting on their swings. spacebar is clunky af and it's just a lame mechanic that we didnt need. lol @ balls thinking premeditated hanging is some great thing too. i swear there's a reason why people playing ball look the EXACT same as before the patch.

this is actually a problem though, you play like an hour of a match, you do your best against the enemy team which is also doing good and when you win and you get less percentage, what was the point of the whole match

Tanks are more of glorified dps in 5v5 than 6v6 honestly. 6v6 solves tank focus problem and tank player pool is likely still decreasing. They need to stabilize it somehow, how do you solve tank focus problem in 5v5?
