I’d love to see Kayla do a luxury tiny house. Like, have a budget of $50,000 or more, and you have to use as much of it as possible to make a 64 tile house No pack restrictions, cause she does a heap of base-game only builds and it’s fun to have free reign of the full catalogue sometimes.

Since you've had fun building tiny houses how about making a series where you build a tiny house with only one expansion pack, so for example a Cottage Living tiny house for one episode and a tiny living one for next etc? Then you would have a theme for every episode and the builds might vary a lot which could be fun

Tiny living is definitely one of the better packs in terms of CAS AND build and buy mode. The new lot types are a fun bonus but they really knocked it out of the park with that pack overall. For anyone on the fence, totally get it!

kayla, please build a micro home loft! it's a nice challenge (moreso if you're making it for two sims or more) and i can never get around using the same one or two layouts - i'd love to see what you can do. the house has to be fully functional with no cheating for extra tiles :)

I built a micro home, 32 tiles, for a vampire; no cheating or MOO at all. He has a bathroom for friends (and moodlet boosts), an extremely cramped living room with a computer and mini-fridge (I intended to get him into mixology but the bar has to go outside) and a hidden basement with a coffin because I thought making him paranoid would be amusing... but the ladder and the coffin takes up the entire basement. He'd have books on his desk or the mini-fridge but I needed some fish bowls for his fishing aspiration. (lol I was trying to speed-run the Well-Rounded scenario but I haven't been able to get him the skill-boost vampire perk yet. I need to have him visit/go on an outing with another vampire and spar somewhere.) Unfortunately, the house is so small that he regularly breaks while trying to read skill books during the day. I'm still having fun although I absolutely didn't optimize him or his skills or his house properly whoops. And now the starter home in Forgotten Hollow looks tiny but kinda cool IMHO. XD

i'd love to see her build a tiny house with no restrictions - all packs, infinite budget etc.

I am no longer allowing myself to start my legacy challenges in tiny homes. It makes Gen 1 too easy. You can have everything you need before the end of week one because the perks are so good. But I agree with Simsie that they’re fun to build and play in in general.

@@DoveJS I’ve actually never done the Not So Berry version of the challenge or really looked into it. I might consider using it for that if the version is already really difficult. For the Newcrest version I think I did use a tiny home lot for Gen 1.

@noel090909 Sure! Not So Berry has more specific requirements, so I wondered most about it. (Newcrest I just couldn't remember, lol.) I think Zodiac might be similar in requirements anyway, but I'm not sure if that's any harder. TBH I just don't know that many challenges.

Can you make a tiny house but not a starter? Like don't worry about money, use any furniture you want, splurge a little bit ☺️

Callenge: try to make a starter home but you dont actually know how much money you spent and in the end you try to let a sim move in.

Don’t get me wrong, I love a good budget build, but I don’t understand why Simsie defaults to starter homes when she builds small houses-I feel like she should have fun with it… let’s be honest, if you’re using a micro home and you’re not rich from playing you’ve used motherlode

I think she likes the budgeting challenge. It makes it more fun for her to mess with the build. I love the Sims but I play in weird bursts, I imagine playing as often and for a living as she does, doing challenges keeps it more fun than just always building with no constraints.

There is this one tiny house in my irl neighborhood that I keep wanting to take pictures of and email to you because it is just something I think you would enjoy using as a base. But I'm anxious about both taking pictures of a strangers home(lot) and then emailing them to effectively another stranger. Maybe one day.

I definitely prefer build videos without the starter home budget restriction :)

Fun fact: Cordelia's Cottage from Cottage Living, which is a starter home, is considered a Tiny Home by the game if you switch the lot type to Tiny Home Residential instead of just Residential.

I like how simsie chooses to build starter homes and then complains the entire time about not enough money.

when she mentioned that beds are seen as odd in the corner ‘but it’s a small space’ … I felt called out as I lay in my double bed that’s in the corner of my room because my room is small and a really odd difficult shape 🥲🥲🥲🤣

I've always had my bed in a corner IRL, it makes it easier to work with the space, especially if you have a small room.

You only need half a tile’s worth of separation between a double bed and a wall for Sims to use it. I like to put a couple shelves on each side of the bed as substitutes for nightstand.

Way to maximize the space. That'd be my ideal home irl, so easy to clean and maintain.

You can tell Kayla has been playing the new Animal Crossing dlc because that drop down time and weather thing she wants is straight outta that.

It would be fun to see Tiny "finisher" home for the Sim who has completed the Fabulously Wealthy aspiration and now wants to retire to a 100k simolean tiny home. Cant cost less than 100k and needs to look normal.

I’ve been reading the comments and agree with a lot of them but want to write my own (hopefully constructive one!). I’ve seen a lot of your build videos (I only watch these and don’t currently play the sims) and I enjoy when you don’t have a budget restriction nor packs restriction. It’s more fun to see you use whatever you want, otherwise most of your builds look the same and it gets pretty boring. Maybe try to do more videos without restrictions and builds that are out of your comfort zone? Find photos of fun houses that you like (maybe modern ones as you don’t do many?) and try to build these! I think it would bring new fun content to your channel :) I really like your videos but lately most of your builds looked pretty much the same so it’s not very entertaining.. but thanks for your videos anyway!! ❤️

Kayla have you ever seen those orange brick kinda wide flat houses? They're like 70s houses and sometimes they even have a green or pink bathtub + toilet. I feel like you should try something like that, even though you might hate it

The photos of those houses are so cute, they have a lot of them here in Vancouver with the same vibe and energy , going for only 2 -3 million!!! So cheap and not at all expensive for a tiny ass 2,500 square foot house😍✨

I love watching you do floor plans like this. I would never think to put the kitchen in the front of the house like that, I guess I think of them like in the back or side of houses with an entry but you know how to fit a lot in these little spaces.

I have a question: Are there left and right versions of the same door in the Sims? 7:15 Right now you can't just leave the door open and walk to the computer because the door is actually blocking the way. 7:39 Here the bathroom door hits against the chairs. It would be way prettier and way more usefull if the doors would open to the wall.

Can you make an actual micro home for 8 sims without cheating, like it would actually be 32 tiles.

Brick homes are fun cuz they keep heat in during the winter BUT when the UK experiences heatwaves of 30°c, or higher,that's when it sucks cuz the majority of homes have zero air con appart from opening all windows and doors.

I want to see tiny house but not on a budget!! and with as many packs as you want, if I don't have some item from the house on the gallery I just replace it and make small changes so don't worry about using too much packs! we can still enjoy the builds

I think I downloaded this yesterday for my perfectly well-rounded scenario! I don't think it gave me the tiny home perks though... I wound up expanding it for more stuff though since it wasn't giving me the perks
