    Sulphur 8 n Blue Magoc was all we needed as kids n our hair was thick n healthy until we begged our moms to perm it. I will definitely try this mixer!! I got my hair braided up right before the quarantine. But I think your hair seems like it got thicker.

    Liz C. This really works. I was natural for 7 years and then I permed it, my hair fell out 😂. So I cut it all off. I added an egg and olive oil to my cowash. I’ve been using the doo gro sulfur 8 mix and my hair is soooo thick and in less than a year my hair was to my shoulders. I also use it to keep my scalp from itching while I have braids. I don’t do twist out though.

    I am 66 always had hair down the middle of my back. My mother had that what you called a growing hand. She made all the neighborhood kids hair grow who didn't have hair. This was from the late 50's to the 70's She had a medium size plastic tub. This is what she mixed as her hair growth. Sulfur 8, Glovers Mange, Castor Oil, Dixie Peach ( you have to be a certain age) to know about Dixie Peach hair grease, and Bergamot hair grease. My hair was down past the middle of my back when I was about 12. She has gone on to Glory now, but people today still talk about how she made their hair grow long..

    I don't think it's the sctual grease or sulfur8 that grows hair. I think it was the fact that it was a scalp massage on a consitent basis, the hair was moisturized and sealed properly, and we didn't wear our hair out. We kept it braided and moisturized. We had low manipulation hair styles. So I don't see these products as a growth aid but more so the way we used it.

  • @candicebissessar2549

    @candicebissessar2549

    I went back to grease recently and for me it seems like my hair is thicker, lots of new growth esp. I still put my hair up and massaged my scalp and wore low manipulation styles back when I was still trying to do the methods the "new naturals" were touting. My hair *is* growing, as far as I can tell from the differences in my scalp, so it is a growth aid only in that it keeps the moisture in when nothing else could. Now I can't part my hair coming out the shower, when a month ago, it was completely thin and flat.

  • @motheroffun

    @motheroffun

    4 жыл бұрын

    No, it was the grease as well. Just massaging and leaving hair "alone" & in low maintenance styles would not be enough. Grease, and especially stimulating ones, are definitely growth aids.

  • @cheyennedunnell6859

    @cheyennedunnell6859

    you’re definitely correct. Your hair is always growing whether you grease your scalp or not. The thickness and the rate of hair growth is determined genetics not grease or hair oil. Now it is true that certain oils help to increase blood circulation to the hair follicles but for the most part all grease and oil does is to lubricate the scalp.

    I used blue magic and sulfur8 in the past with nothing else. I didn’t even massage my hair and it grew like crazy. I have gone back to it recently and my hair is growing long again. It agrees more with my scalp and hair than other products. Back to old school way of doing things.

    It works! I used it in addition to all other products i purchased over time and used for a little while and stopped. Every grease and oil you can think of, I mixed. Added black seed oil, peppermint oil, palm oil, and plenty others, also add moisture to my hair. I made a concoction using rice water with the orange skin, aloe Vera, fenugreek, rosemary, and sea moss. I wet my hair with the mixture and massage. Then i use Lotta body coconut moisturizing cream. Then I use the sulfur 8 mixture. My hair smells stink as ever, but I don’t care s it’s getting longer and thicker. Perfect time to use during quarantine. When I sleep I wear the satin cap and also have a towel on my pillow. I know all the ingredients I used were not necessarily but I used them as they would remain there untouched. My hair is growing longer and thicker. I always overdo everything.

    Your hair got fuller after a week. Yeah my temples used to feel very tender to the touch. My old hair dresser took my edges out in like 2 sewins I told her she said you want tight or no. I was done after that and my edges had issues for years. I started using Chebe and rice water that works for me.

I’ve been using the doo gro, castor oil, sulfur 8 mix and my hair is soooo thick and in less than a year my hair was to my shoulders. I also use it to keep my scalp from itching while I have braids. I don’t do twist out though. I don’t like my hair to be wet while I sleep. The sulfur 8 should help with ur scalp sensitivity, well it did for me.

    Sebum is the natural oils that your scalp produces. Some produces more than others but it’s not a bad thing. When you produce more, you do tend to have dry scalp just like if you produce less bc of the moisture not getting the scalp. Producing less is moisture not getting locked in. I produce less so I like the grease to help seal it in

    To keep your bed sheets and pillow from getting messy, invest in a satin line pillowcase or satin lined cap! They are about 3 dollars. Cotton breaks and dries your ends that may be why you are not retaining length plus who is trying to lay in grease all night.

    Wow it’s crazy because at the beginning of quarantine in March I literally bought all of these items along with black castor oil shampoo for no reason at all. Then here we are in May and this video is recommended. I didn’t even know it was a challenge 😂
