    It’s the protein. You had plenty of protein in your hair and rice water is a very strong treatment. Next time apply.a moisturizing leave in after your rice treatment and it will feel less dry and stiff

    Grab cool whip on a bowl and add your favorite shampoo and mixed, then apply it all over your hair, wait for 15 min and go take shower and rinse. It is super easy to rinse. You can add your normal conditioner as always. You will have the prettiest and healthiest hair ever after that! I do this twice at month.

    I watched a video where an actual Yao woman said...10 minutes. It's crazy how so many KZreadrs are selling so many different variations of the recipe and how it's used when there are several videos, shot up in the moutains with these women, where they explain both how to make and use it step by step. Simultaneously these KZreadrs keep saying they've done 'research' which I can now only assume means...they watched 1 or 2 videos about it and confirmed themselves experts. Note...I'm not referring to Courtney, this is one of the more accurate videos save for the time stamp.

    just be careful not to over saturate it with protein. Your hair is colour treated, so it's porous and this is why you wont get to over saturation fast. However, if you continue this every week you are bound to reach it sooner or later. Just be careful and rinse it well after so you'd avoid such negative effects.

    This is really thorough and interesting! I'd never heard of this but I always love to see how traditional beauty treatments work. The thing is everybody's hair is completely different and will react differently to treatments and shampoos, and MINE actually reacts differently depending on the day and probably the weather. Doing this for a month will really get you a much better idea of how your hair likes it, I'm interested to see! Of course it'll be different for everybody which is why it's helpful to see lots of different people try these things. Good luck, I hope it keeps making your hair silky smooth!

    Rice water dries up the hair, but that is super good. Especially if your using this instead of shampoo. It cleans the hair perfect. BUTTT you shouldn't leave the rice water on your hair to long because than exactly this happens. You really shouldn't do it longer than 30 minutes. Probably you should do it with your hair even shorter, like 15 minutes or so. Also dont use it more often than once a week. This is my personal recommendation!

    Suppose to leave it on for 20 minutes, also before putting your hair in the water you should comb through it while holding your head above the bowl with a wide tooth comb and then start washing your hair from the bottom to the roots, do it only one to three days a week cause the protein could dry out your hair and make it frizzy and crispy

    Try rinsing thoroughly with the purest and coldest water possible. This will seal the cuticle and leave your hair glossy. And do it as a part of a weekly treatment for at least six months. And, most importantly: have a varied and healthy diet so you glow from inside out. Your hair will reflect it for sure.

    Always use a comb on wet hair. Not a brush!!!

  • @maythepisceszodiac4796
    @maythepisceszodiac47963 жыл бұрын

    A STEP BY STEP GUIDE To Using Rice Water For Your Hair (The proper way).. WHAT IS NEEDED: Your rice water (of cause), a bowl, a wooden or wide tooth comb, and a claw clip. 1. DETANGLE YOUR HAIR OUT WITH A COMB (do 'not' use a hair brush!!) & DO SO IN A BACK TO FRONT MOTION WITH YOUR HEAD FACING DOWNWARDS. And comb through just enough so that the rice water is able to penetrate & get between every single strand of hair, for when you are ready to apply the rice water. 2. HAVE YOUR HEAD PLACED OVER A BOWL, and in this position, YOU SHOULD BE FACING DOWNWARDS LOOKING STRAIGHT INTO THE BOWL. This way, you'll have more control of everything. 3. THEN BEGIN THE WASHING PROCESS BY APPLYING THE RICE WATER THROUGHOUT YOUR HAIR (completely soaking it) and as you're doing so, DON'T FORGET TO MASSAGE YOUR SCALP THROUGHOUT!! (as if you would with shampoo and/or conditioner) And then AFTER YOU'VE DONE THAT, GO BACK THROUGH YOUR HAIR ONCE MORE WITH THE COMB MAKING SURE YOUR HAIR IS EVENLY WET. AND YOUR HAIR MUST STILL BE REMAINING OVER THE BOWL DURING THIS PROCESS!! 4. Then once you have finished that, YOU'LL ALSO NEED TO USE MORE RICE WATER BUT THIS TIME, IT'LL BE USED TO RINCE YOUR HAIR OUT WITH WHILE YOUR HEAD IS STILL IN THE FACEDOWN POSITION. 5. Last but not least, THE DRYING PROCESS! And DO NOT EVER USE A TOWEL FOR THIS STAGE!! FOR THIS STEP YOU MUST ONLY USE YOUR HANDS BY SQUEEZING THE EXCESS RICE WATER OUT OF YOUR HAIR & THEN LEAVING IT TO NATURALLY DRY. USE THE CLAW CLIP TO SECURE YOUR HAIR IN PLACE AS IT AIR DRYS.

    I once tried the rice water and i did exactly what the instructions said. When i used it it smelled sooo bad and i didn’t think much of it but then when i rinsed it with my shampoo and conditioner my hair still smelled REALLY bad and i had to shampoo 3 more times and it still smelled, it took around 3 days to get rid of the smell. But surprisingly my hair felt really silky and soft. So a tip if you wanna try this add an essential oil and detangle your hair b4 you use the rice water 🥰

  • @luciaraio
    @luciaraio3 жыл бұрын

    I'd say it's because you rinsed it upside down and the texture the rice water added made your hair more susceptible to tangle. I rinsed my hair upside down with cold water once because I didn't want the cold on my body, and my hair was a gross tangled mess like this, if you rinse it as you usually would in the shower, and rinse it a little better, you'd be fine I'm sure.

    Look like I used to use this treatment a lot when I had longer hair ! And my hair as a guy are strong ! But ! Afre dying it a few times they got weaker ! But rice water saved them ! I am doing this method about a year now and it's lovely ! The secret is not doing it too often cause it might be too much for your hair ok? But it really helps your hair to feel alive again trust me ! Just keep using it I would just advise you.....not to use it every week if you are using conditioners or hair mask with protein.....that would be too much ! That's all have fun with using it ! But please please be careful with the protein treatments on your hair I do have short hair now , but I still use rice water now and then and trust me they are just so silky , strong and shiny ! Healthy hair has a balance of protein, water, and oil. You may have been hit with too heavy a protein serves the first time it helps if you offset the proteins with and oil treatment, like applying a bit of coconut oil as a pre-wash 20 minutes before you shampoo. That way, I suspect your hair will react a little more favorably.

    I have used it before and it had happened to me only once when I was not able to rinse it out completely. So give it another water rinse and it should be totally fine.

    All u need is to use conditioner after your rice water treatment. I use a deep conditioner and I put it right on top of the rice water and after 30 mins it rinse it all out together.

    All citric fruit is covered in wax for transportation. Unless you can buy directly from a farmer just skip it, trying to take it off is a pain.

    It makes my hair really soft!!! But I ONLY do it twice a month because it can easily over-protanize the hair. (No more than 20min) I also add neem leaves in addition to the orange peels because it helps with dandruff.

    Rice water that is left fermenting for as long as one week is going to be very potent, and 45 mins is wayyyyyy too long to leave it on your hair, with your hair type I would say about 10-15 mins. Your hair feels brittle and tangly because it has protein overload :) good video though !

    Perhaps it's because your hair is dyed? The Chinese ladies seem to be doing it on their natural hair. My hairs dyed right now and I was going to try this out but now I'm worried especially the bit about some people lost their hair 😯

    30 mins is time to leave it on for you all forget the power of rice water if your hair goes crunchy it means you’ve left in on too long which causes too much protein to form in your hair, if Yao is women only leave it on for 20 mins it’s deffo a no no for any longer our hair isn’t used to the protein x
