If you haven't seen the video in detail, there's a tip against enemies about to flash your R. 23:05 is a perfect example. Don't ult centered on the target when they are running, aim a bit further, just so you can hit them if they flash... and still hit them if they don't. Malph's R is that big, and ghost helps being able to gain distance to ult that way. Also, Malph R travel time is faster the more MS you have. Using Q (along ghost or not) before ulting can surprise people (not necessarily good for that timestamp, but it's useful to know).

The speed is 1500 + 100% MS, so he can be slowed, but not below 1500 MS ​@@CycleMantis Additionally, if you target a wall and the ult brings you over, the speed will increase (up to double). If the ult doesn't bring you over, the speed will actually decrease

Oddly enough, my last two games before watching this video were mid vs this exact Malphite build, and then top vs a K'Sante. K'Sante truly is a demon and it's kind of outrageous that Riot allows it to exist. The guy can be 2-9, full tank build, and still top the damage charts. Not to mention crazy shielding, unstoppable, and 3 days worth of CC. I was a 14-1 Kled and I barely did more damage.

I see what you did there...

You have to throw ult towards the scape path of your target, like clipping them with the border of it if they don't flash. That way if they do flash you ult them anyways.

@@carmsxted the thing is you have to position the ult so the range indicator isn't placed dead on, you do have to hit it but the diameter of the ult hitbox is bigger than the distance you move with flash.

Last year I was fed as fuck on xerath, hit 3 champs with a Q W and earned 800 gold 😂 Played a solid amount of miss fortune in the fall but nothing compared to that xerath highlight lol

AP Malphite mid is very fun, but early game can be brutal against long-range spammy mages and it may take a little longer to get those first two items.
