Glad to see akko back on this channel recently got myaelf a mod007b hall effect and for the 120 ish dollars i got it (got it through amazon with a small sale) it was so much better than my original 60%
Built a monsgeek m1w for my brother for christmas and he loves it! I think clip in stabs are misunderstood. Their flaw is solely if there's a loose fit on the plate - so if you use the bandaid mod, and the housings of the clip in stabs are held nicely in place, they can end up being amazing. They can also be really smooth because clip ins tend to have little friction due to admittedly "bad" tolerances of the stems. For some reason, if you get rid of the ticking and do bandaid plate mod, they end up being unbelievably good. Just gotta put in the work.
@fozzyalfonso
20 күн бұрын
Another flaw for plate mounted stabilizers is that they require really good quality plates. The reason being that even a slight inconsistency in the plate will make the stabilizers bottom out first or even worse, only one of the stabilizers bottom out. And another is that they dont touch the PCB in some cases. So a flexible plate is gonna make the stabilizers bounce on the PCB
@coleydotmp4
20 күн бұрын
@@fozzyalfonso This is a valid concern - Most of the plate mount stabs i get in these days are already installed in boards, so i don't run into the ill-fitting problem. BUT as for each stem sometimes not hitting the bottom of the plate - cant help but wonder if you're dealing with an issue with long pole switches on stabs not made for them? If that's the case there is a mod to remedy this.

I was looking for your review on the m1v3 and I didn’t know it was only released for a few days when I bought it, so glad I did when I saw this. Bought the barebones and put the bobas in it. IT’S HEAVEN.
I was just browsing through your videos, searching for a new keeb.. perfect timing
Heyy, just the video i wanted :D i've been looking at this or Tiger80 lite, still not sure what to get (they both seem to have their pros and cons, price is similar) but review of v3 is always appreciated 👍
Those weird gasket things in 1:48 are force break mods. It’s like Akko themselves acknowledged their board is lacking without it

thanks for the review man, my bestie has been looking at these boards for a while (i recommended them to him. if these sucked i would've been mortified)
A note on the M1W V3, it doesn't have VIA/QMK compatibility. You have to use proprietary software.
I do not want a dedicated video on hall effect switches. I NEED IT
Got my Rainy75 recently per your recommendation. Absolutely incredible! Also got one for my fiancé (so she doesn't notice I've found yet another way to waste money on my PC) LOL great vid.
Thanks for taking a look at these. Could I ask what you made of the seam? Is it well aligned or a little rough? Hard to tell from the video.
I recently built a new keyboard with the monsgeek m1v3, it's the first aluminum build i did. And ngl, i love it, it's great. I'm super happy i went with it instead of keychron or something
I just caved and bought it. Thanks Hipyo.

Did someone told you Oversimplified and you have very similar voices and style? Great videos started watching you few days ago amazing content, excellently edited and you have extremely pleasant voice. Glad I came across your channel.
Hipyo, I have a video suggestion. You should build 3 keyboards with your favourite parts. One should be thocky, one marbly and the last could be silent (which you have done recently so you could reuse that) You gotta pick your favourite frames, switches and keycaps (NO YOU CANNOT USE YOUR OWN SET). Anyway, hope you make that vid where you actually show us your skill with no twists
im really loving that purple.. might have to get one of these
Hey Hipyo, thanks to you, you made keyboards important again! Thank to you, I haven't bought my keyboard yet?! You made it important, so now I can't rush it! Now I have to keep watching your videos, and keep getting confused as to which one is right for me! What to do, what to do...
I got my M1V3 & MU01 yesterday for review and wow, I am impressed indeed, the MU01 is beautiful and creamy sounding and a huge lover of the wooden case, and the M1V3 is just insane for the price! but boy it is heavy haha anyways now back to the video to hear your thoughts :D
+1 for HE switches video here ! :D
is the aula f75 any good for the price?
Love your reviews! I was wondering if you could try the Womier SK80?
that purple would look amazing with your hipyo keycaps
Id love a video going in depth on new hall effect switches!

I hope you make an updated review of full sized keyboards!
Yay im so happy that i bought the monsgeek m1 half a year ago and now there's a cheaper better version and im regretting my decisions!
howdy hey! what do you recommend for a silent creamy sounding switch hipyo (if theres any switch like that) should I go with morandi idk
I currently own the wooting 2 lekker edition and im on the pre order list for the 80HE. They've definitely improved the sound profile of both the board(being gasket mounted now) and upgraded the switches to a v2 now (tho we have yet to hear them in the zinc alloy case). I just think Hall effects have a certain sound signature that you can't 100% eliminate due to the magnets so ultimately you just have to take the good with the bad. Its a very small bad compared to overwhelming good
Is it good for SILENT boards? Can you build something comparable to Varmilo with it?
Hey man, Love you videos but now I am getting confused which one to buy under $100. Can you suggest a single keyboard under $100? I have heard aula f75 is the best one. Can you share your thoughts? Keep going. Love the way you review ❤
I have the monsgeek m1 v2 and I like the changes but I wish they would have kept the side cut out. In my opinion it looks nicer.
Hey hipyo you plz rate the board with others like the rainy 75 and tide? Btw what rank are you in valorant?
1:21 ok so I'm a bit confused by the correction in the video here, are you saying that the M1 V3 is the same as the M3? Because I have an M3 purple but mine is a TKL and I don't think it's the same board as the one here? Mine has the side cut out but no knob
Hey @HipyoTech, I'm new to your channel and I wanted to know if you recommend any keyboard companies that are not from China?
Have you tried the Keychron HE board? Curious how that stacks up to the others on the market
I am willing to build a "sounds good" clicky keyboard with Arctic fox or Kailh Box Summer switches. Should I consided M1W v3?
Picked up a set of Morandi switches, and I really like them, but I don't think they're a great fit with GMK keycaps as they tend to pair better with a thockier set of PBT keycaps. I paired my GMK Cubed set (one of the only GMK sets I would buy bc I'm a GameCube freak) and the HMX Xinhai linears were a perfect match. Really brings out the clacky sound profile of the GMK caps, which to me sound best when you lean in to that. The Morandis are now in my Gem80 at work so my coworkers don't murder me, and the GMK/HMX combo is at home on the AK820 Pro (soon to be a ND75!)
The stabilizer is their TPU stabs. Performs close to a TX and for a long time now people are requesting Akko to sell them separately
How is the wireless connections? I don't think ive ever had a good stable wireless connection on a keyboard yet
Hi Hipyo! What do you think about the Keychron Kailh Clione Limacina Linear Switches? Have you ever tested it?

It's so fun to hear him give a reason not to use akko switches 😂 Great and insightful vid though, wish there was some akko switches used
How does it compare to zoom75? Is the price difference still justified or is zoom not worth it in current market?
What could be helpful to new people is creating a ranking or webpage of keyboards you've reviewed and how they stack up relative to one another. I'm in the market for a 75% board, but don't know much about brands vs. creating your own. How does Akko stack up against Duky - etc. Would be helpful to see an enthusiast make sense out of all the customization of prebuild boards for newer people. Thanks
Hey Hipyo, you have been making a lot of content about affordable keyboards for a while. I'd like to request a review / video on a more premium & hard to get keyboard.
which prebuild or not prebuild keyboard can I buy in europe that has the sound "after" like you did in this video. I just dont want to remove all the foam or whatever in this one.
Hello. Is there any chance you`ll make a video about budget full size Keyboards you would recommend? Right now i am totally overwhelmed cause of the massive ammount of possibilities. But there seem a lot fewer 104/105/96% Boards then i anticipated. Doesn`t matter if barebone or fully assembled, 2,4 GHz or wired, screen or knob, VIA support is a nice bonus. Or maybe the community has some ideas?
Do you have any advice i bought a Monsgeek M1 and i've been very cautious placing all the switches and still, 2 months later i have loose hotswap sockets, tried to tighten the two connection, but everytime few days later it happens again .. :/
So should I go build the monsgeek m1 v3 or buy the rainy75? (Or the womier sk75)? I cant decide 😭
I see some people using hall effect switches in racing games, as they can define a feedback curve, where they can steer stronger, when pressing deeper, or a wide turn by pressing lightly
Hipyo, do u think this Monsgeek M1V3 is a better keeb than the LeoBog HI75?
the gasket thingies at 1:48 are for force break mod. Also, I have the Monsgeek m1 he, the V1. for me personally, it sounds better without the case foams with 3-5 layers of tape mod, also relubed the cream yellows, also replaced the keycaps with akko bow keycaps. I'd describe it as a medium to high pitch thock. like a good mixture of thocc and clack.
Hipyo, what tape should I use for my keyboard? It has battery but I'm using it directly using a type c data line. I don't use the Bluetooth feature. Should I use an electrical tape or painter's tape will work?

Hipyo i was thinking of getting a new keyboard and mouse since i had mine since 4 years ago and well… they came in the same box for 20$ so i don’t know whats good and whats bad any recommendations?. And i don’t have a budget well.. if it’s not that expensive that is😭 I was also thinking of buying Logitech mouse and a rk 75% keyboard
Could u please do a review on the Gateron Curry Switches? I have them on my GMMK 2 and I love them!
I have an M6 (the Alice version) and I use it with Gateron Smoothies, and it sounds fantastic IMO.
This'd be absolutely perfect for me if there's a purple ISO version like the previous versions, something with more flex than my Idobao ID80 V2 (which I just got T_T - it's great but the switches are sorta attacking me when released and I'm wondering if that's the lack of flex) EDIT: Huh, looks like the regular V3 doesn't have a purple iso on the regular Monsgeek site, but the wireless version has one on the EU site?
Got a Monsgeek M3 a 2 weeks ago , its sweet
Can it be that only the international version has the updated stabilizers? Whenever I look at the V3 on the European or German store from Monsgeek or Akkogear it still shows the older purple stabs that were built on the old M1W version.

Mr hipyo what are your thoughts on the ajazz AK820 pro for $60 I can’t fault it so far
I just recently got this board and I liked it a lot. The only problem I have with it is that the backspace key sounds very weird compared to the rest of the board, like more rattley and loud. I am not sure what it is and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to fix it. Just for a bit more details, I am using the standard plate-mounted stabilisers. But I am not too sure if the stabilisers are the problem, since I swapped some of the other stabilisers around, and they all sounded fine when they were not on the backspace key. I am wondering if it is a design issue, since I noticed that the key is quite close to the edge with flex cuts and the screw connecting the PCB to the plate.
sheeesh, I was supposed to order this keyboard next week, but I guess that after this video they will be out of stock xD

Hey Hipyo i want to mod my reddragon k630 keyboard can you recommend some budget switches keycaps and a few mods. also can you review this keyboard in a video it is only $60
I cannot ignore the fact that your are sound testing the keyboards on a mouse pad, that of course influences how they sound. In my experience it dampens the sound a bit versus if you would use the keyboard without the pad underneath. Basically, the foam effect.
