Some kind of momentum based mechanic maybe? Maybe if you’ve been going at full speed for a second or two it puts your through a 2x speed portal. It would encourage people to not get caught on things so they can maintain speed I think.

I agree with you because all the long cutscenes and long bossfights were made to challenge speedruns,which is good imo because games that don't do that are usually pretty unsatisfying for non speedruns

1:51 you can actually move before the camera fully returns to the cube. If you're fast enough you don't need to wait for the spikes to come down again.

8:14 I somehow did this strat unintentionally on my first casual playthrough of the tower and was very confused why i was getting less hits in other attempts :)

Finding out speezys been a gd fan this whole time is so satisfying, he never mentioned it really but it just felt like the kinda game he’d enjoy in his free time

Let’s GO EazySpeezy is a GD fan! He earned more of my respect.

The wait for 2.2 was just too much for me to get back into it. I hope everyone who comes back has fun in this update, it looks cool.

It starts off with some pretty easy jumps and transitions into some basic wave which is a great preparation for some harder levels like Blast Processing. Merry Christmas!

In the section in tower 4 after the pacman section you can actually save 3 seconds by take the first 3 keys like you, but then for the last one, you go up onto the spike ball’s back then take the key then go down into the door right before the spike ball block it

Ive been doing the any% of gd platformer and i love the any% strat in the cellar you should look att the cellar wr its insane

2.2 is one of the biggest game changing updates that I have ever seen for any game in my entire life, all of the possibilities of what could be done in 2.1 hadn’t been done and by now the possibilities for what we can do are probably endless.

When 2.21 comes out you need to do the second floor as well!

I’m glad that the tower was so easy to speedrun. Also I asked you when you were starting to learn the 100% hello neighbor if you were going to do anything with geometry dash 2.2.

I know im late, but fun fact abkut the box in the secret hollow, the box that falls doen when you hit the button initially, which lets you access the rest if the area, it actually doesnt have collision until it fully lands, so if you move too fast there you can end up inside of it instead of kn top, losing a little time

This new update is peak gaming material for people to make stages of platformers. And also this update is made for speed runners. I’ve seen people make platformer stages that already shows potential of this update is amazing
