It's your first time specifically on roller skates, but you seem as though you skated in some way before, like ice skated or roller-bladed at some point previously? Some of these moves are beyond first-day-on-any-skates-ever capabilities. So technically the title would still be right lol.

Yes it's in the description :) I had a pair of rollerblades before when I was like 13 or so, a lot of us have one time or another tried roller blading or ice skating in our lives but roller skating is so fun!

I call BS! You were A M A Z I N G for a first timer (then I read the description and confirmed you developed the muscle memory as kid). You're definitely a natural, AND have the perfect attitude for it. I'm in my kitchen attempting to go from the table to the sink, I don't know how you were so bold to go outside, jump and do so much wild stuff, but I'm definitely gonna try to find a little bit of that confidence from deep inside me and give this a try. Thanks for the inspiration!

It's always weird hearing stock music that you're already familiar with. There's a guy that opens hockey cards and uses the slow bg song in his opening.

Watched this vid some months ago and now that KZread recommended for me again I remember that I watched and thought with myself "okay... the worst thing that can happen it's me falling. And it doesn't seem so bad to fall". So thank you for this video because it's really encouraged me to rollerskate for the first time! It brings a different perspective than the other videos, the vlogs and tutorials made by the experts because... you know. they already know how to do it lmao

Yes !! I wear them all the time! In this video I didn't have them cause they hadn't arrived in the mail so I just wore volleyball knee pads to begin with 😂

When you jumped and turned 180? I had to stop watching 😫😅 I’m too envious that took me like 8 months and you did it on day 1!?!? 🤡 I’m happy for you tho girl really, you’re a natural! ❤️😂

I am getting my roller skate tomorrow and I am so excited 😊

I’m About a month into skating and i love it! I’ve had so much improvement and I’m still working on backwards skating, transitions, jumping, and stops. Haven’t tried spinning because I don’t have a helmet or a flat surface.

I just recently came across roller skating and im planning on buying a pair soon but almost all “good” brands are sold out of my size and the ones that arent are almost $400 which is definitely out of my price range, but i did come across the roller skates that you have on in this video, and i was wondering if you think they’re good? would you recommend them? TIA! ☺️ (i know you have upgraded since then but i still wanna know your opinion!)

Hi! Thanks for checking out my video 💓 they are from SFR I wouldn't recommend them for long term usage as mine broke after 2 months it would be more for casual skates maybe a couple of times, if you're planning to skate more and for long times I would recommend other brands! I have a video on golden horse (the custom skates video) that are very good for beginners if you want to check that out 😙💓 & there are some entry brands that seem good too like rookie skates although I don't own those I just heard they are not bad !

the SFR ones? they are okay but wouldn't recommend for long term use especially not for jumps mine lasted me like 2 months!

BTW when you were using your stopper to stop you were supposed to kind of glide and raise up your leg

Really work hard at the essential skills. Skating forward, then turning around, then skating backwards, etc. Get the foundational stuff down and the tricks will grow from that naturally... And you'll be a lot less likely to hurt yourself.

I think everyone is different in their learning styles for me personally, I have roller bladed as a kid for fun like those skates from decathlon so I think that definitely helped me and I played competitive sports for 8 years I think past experiences definitely play a role in how easy it is to pick up roller skating! But I think you should definitely give it a go you might love it! If not then it would be a fun summer activity!

Just have to go for it!! Wear protective gear too it helps me progress faster!

Get a backstop, nothing stops you faster, you can lean into it with all your bodyweight and you dont have any chance in falling ether! Seriously, nothing comes even close to the stopping power of a backstop!
