The problem with challenge moons is that there is currently no way to prevent someone from using speed and invincibility mods. This doesn't matter for PBs, but it makes the leaderboard pointless.

I saw Thalonius do >700 on her first try while I was rendering this video and it made me want to try again 😂 I’m excited to see what kinds of scores people put up in this format!

Me and some randoms got a 2200 run and we see a theoretical 2600 run possible. I will lay out the strat for everyone to try out. Roles: Terminal-carrier, Coil-watcher, Nut slayer, Hauler Terminal-carrier will buy a shovel and radar booster and wait for the drop pod. Everyone else will rush to the main entrance and begin clearing loot. Nut slayer and Hauler will go to the bottom left door, where Nutslayer will take a left and clear that dead end and the Hauler will take a right and immediately go for the items at fire exit dead end. Coil-watcher will go bottom-straight for the lamps visible at entrance and then go for the kitchen upstairs. Terminal-carrier will take the bottom right dead end once he positions the radar booster at the hill valley where the rend shortcut route is. Nutslayer finishes clearing first and will meet terminal-carrier to pick up the shovel and prepare for the nutcracker to spawn at the bottom right of main. Hauler will go to the bottom left door on their second haul and go upstairs via the staircase in that area, so they don't get domed by nutcracker trying to go up main entrance. Coil-watcher and Hauler will have their first upstairs inventory haul and drop it from upstairs balcony to the main door, and will keep dropping upstairs loot with this method while Nut Slayer is killing the nutcracker. Coil-watcher needs to grab perfume bottle from the upstairs right door, since they usually have more time. After killing the nutcracker, Nutslayer will immediately take a key and go for the old phone behind the locked door and then help take items outside after that. Hauler, Coil-Watcher and Terminal-carrier clear out kitchen at which point the coil-head will have just spawned. One of them will grab the hair dryer from the dead end it spawned at. Once the kitchen is clear, the coil-watcher will back up to the upstairs rightside corner (bracken will spawn so he needs to be safe) and watch coilheads. Aside from Coil-watcher, everyone is still helping move items outside. Nutslayer needs to stop before all loot is hauled out to prepare to kill the second nutcracker. Advisable to set metal a little further from the door. At 12pm all items are going to be outside, Terminal-carrier will haul loot to the ship until 3pm, then they need to watch terminal and be ready to stun giant with the radar booster. Hauler will simply haul loot until there is no loot left to haul. Dogs spawn at 3pm roughly so be quiet after that time. If anyone gets chased by the giant, you need to get to the radar booster, recharge as much stamina as possible, wait for it to get stunned, and then sprint for the cabin. Nutslayer will have killed the second nutcracker at this point, and will now evacuate the building with Coil-watcher and help haul loot back. Nutslayer needs to make sure to set aside a shotgun and shells for later. With 3 people hauling loot and good giant RNG either all loot is hauled back, or there is a small enough amount for the hauler to do the rest by themselves. Nutslayer and Coil-watcher will re-enter the facility to kill nutcrackers. Aim to get 3 more shotguns. Sometimes masked will sneak outside, do not sprint unless the mask starts sprinting. Terminal-carrier needs to order a walkie-talkie so that the dogs are away from the ship and hauler can run without having to dodge dogs as well. You can usually bait the dogs into aggro and get the masked killed once you are at the ship. At around 9pm-10pm everyone needs to head back. The person haunted by the ghost girl will accept their fate and die, someone will collect their body. If you can get more bodies without dying that's an extra 15 loot. The terminal guy will then be last alive and leave the planet. Should be around 2600 loot if done right.

Really loving the new uploads. For sure noticing that everyone's favorite uploads are the duos and the iron men challenges, your duo ironman challenge was one of my favorite videos I've seen recently and definitely the best Lethal Company video I've seen. I think it's because you have just the right amount of knowledge with the game to do things like full clear certain moons and give helpful tips, but you're not one of those know it all andys that know the code behind the durability of the bridge. Citing power levels and how many enemies can spawn and actually using the scan command at the console are nice touches too. Can't wait to see where this channel goes!

Thank you, I appreciate your feedback! 🙏 I’m super happy that people are liking the duo and ironman challenges, because I enjoy filming with a friend more than filming solo. I like being competent at games not so I can be the best at them, but so I can adequately chill while playing with them. Lethal Company is a game where you’re just constantly on edge if you’re not aware of what’s going on, but it’s one that can be super chill when you do. I actually DO know some of the code stuff now, but it’s not a priority for me to keep that knowledge off top (especially when Nico is a code nerd and I can just ask him for the info 😂). I’d much rather come up with new challenges for people to try and learn how to showcase my ideas on youtube than try to be the best gamer who’s playing Lethal Company. I’d be much happier watching the god gamers succeed in my challenges than becoming one myself!

I wonder if its worth to buy a shovel and flash grenade just to get rid of the nutcracker early. you still have a lot of time to use but the giant will be the major problem if you want get out later.

I thought about that too! mostly didn’t want to deal with the shovel conducting electricity and it slowing me down because of its weight. Also my friend Nico got two coil heads and two nutcrackers on his run, so even if I take out one or both nutcrackers I still have the coilheads and the ghost girl to deal with 😅 coilheads I could trap in a room though and ghost girl isn’t bad so long as I never look at her THAT SAID, I also just learned that shovels now only weigh 8lbs so the weight thing might not be as much of an issue 👀 at least compared to the fact that my nutcracker-killing ability was already atrocious even prior to the update 47 buff 😂

​@sheffaustingames I tried this challenge moon yesterday and bought a shovel, but it wasn't ever getting struck by lightning. I think I heard somewhere that there's a glitch where items you buy on or orbiting a stormy moon will not be conductive for some reason.

@@farteatereater22 it says in the v47 patch notes that nutcrackers were buffed, and if they miss the same target several times they will move. It's still one of the best strats, but it's less safe than it was.

Another very nice upload as always! I appreciate the sped up parts where there wasn't much going on, and like another comment pointed out, yes a masked enemy is the cause of the laughing you heard. It *is* worth it to try and kill the nutcrackers for their shotguns, but only when with friends, as doing it takes coordination, and most of the time doing it solo is just a waste of time & credits. I'm excited to see more of these moons in the future, aswell as anymore uploads you'll have for this week! Just a couple questions: Do you plan on ever cross-streaming to KZread aswell? If not, why? (Just curious) Do you have plans to make these moons a weekly series/video? Remember me when you're famous!

doesn’t help that nutcrackers were buffed this patch either 😅 Q: Do I plan on cross-streaming to youtube? A: I actually don’t have plans for streaming much at all, and haven’t even been streaming on twitch for about a month now. I only streamed on twitch to store vods there instead of my hard drive, but now I just record offline so I can have better/more consistent video quality. I will do livestreams at some point, but I’d like to be more intentional with my livestreams rather than just stream any time I play the game like I did in the past. Especially now that I’m gaining a bit of a following now, I want to make sure that I’m providing an experience that’s worth showing up to my livestreams for. But the focus is for sure on just videos for now while I learn this whole KZread game inside and out (I’m still new to the space and am learning everything I can, don’t want to split my focus too much) Q: Do I have plans to make these moons a weekly series/video? A: I don’t see why not! it’s fun and in line with my solo content anyway and it’s an official way to compete with my friends in Lethal Company. I had to add to this video so I could beat Nico’s score, and I’m likely going to have to revisit this moon when Larry beats my score later this week lol I’ll do my best to remember everyone here! This has been a wild ride and I’m grateful to everyone who engages with me here :)

I personally think live streaming (in moderation) would be something most people would be down to see, as it’s pretty consistent with your longer & less edited format. Though I completely understand not wanting to do it every time you play something. Let’s hope next week’s moon is a bit nicer!

yeah I saw someone comment on Nico’s video that this challenge isn’t restricted to solo like I thought, so I’m for sure gonna revisit it with a duo/squad 🤔 this past work weekend was a tougher one than usual which is why I missed two days, BUT that’s likely going to be my last rough non-youtube-related work weekend in a while so I’ll be hitting the youtube paint HARD now that I can commit a little harder to it 😁

Bit of a shame the update happened when I just put together a new modpack for my friends. From testing it seems like it works but modded moons dont show up on the terminal (yet I can still teleport to them). Might have to instead try out the new challenge moons whilst I wait for any updates xD nice video ♡ might use this as a score to beat challenge

I played quite a bit of Hitman: Blood Money growing up, and I also watched CJ’s hitman videos religiously for a time! Felt like some Hitman music would be appropriate for Update 47 because of Agent 47 🫡

Tried the moon today. My first run ended with me setting up a coilhead so I can leave and ship back items, only for the nutcracker to walk into me half a second before I actually left (aka the exit circle was almost full). Not sure how much I enjoy it. Maybe other challenge moons will be more fun but stormy + coilhead + coilhead + giants + ghost girl is quite opressive. They spawn relatively early in as well. Of course, that only means the moon deserves the "challenge" tag, so I don't think it's a bad thing for it to be so opressive

yeah compared to the experimentation map from the public beta, this one was a TOUGH map to kick things off! Kinda makes the format a hard sell I feel but I also had to remember it was a randomly generated seed so maybe future ones won’t be like that 😅 Personally I don’t think I would have minded the difficulty as much if it were on a different map, not the biggest fan of the visibility on Rend or Dine, but we’ll see how we feel about next week’s moon I suppose!

I thought this was a solo only game mode since that’s how it was in the beta, only learned that it wasn’t after people started sharing their scores with me here. I hope more people start posting videos of their runs though!

Player Missions / Editors could Make some of the Worst or Fun Maps Imagine Blob Island where outside there are like 15 Blobs and there is Fog so you have to be Careful where you go.

The Concept of Blob Island is there is so Much Toxic Air that all Items you find are Destroyed or Formed to something with higher Quality Because there were mining operations all around the World until the mining made the World Too Toxic (#Safety Equipment became too expensive) so Gold and other Materials is commonly found here but the Trait of it is Hell to Scavenging.

nice attempts my highest at the moment is 2100 mostly because I get alot of the items that were upstairs on that moon in the kitchen because there is a lamp and a painting behind the counter also two more lamps down stairs to the right that is a decent chunk of money

This was pretty much my first reaction to this being the first seed... Tried it twice with the second time just getting 4 things back just to have a number since it's a shit show. On top of that I don't see where to check these leaderboards anywhere in game anyways.

I didn’t see where to check the leaderboards either until I booted up the game again and clicked on the challenge moon. The leaderboard popped up then and you can see both your friends list leaderboard and the steam one! Though I guess I quit out of my last run too early since my leaderboard still only shows the 479 I put up in round 2 😅

these challenge moons aren’t random! The map seed will stay the same for the whole week. So same item spawns, monster spawns, weather conditions, starting credits, etc. This lets people come up with strategies on how to best approach the moon, knowing what challenges they’ll face. Which is a change of pace from the more random base game

I get 760 just collecting 1 handed items from the kitchen and you leave at 2pm more or less

the weather on this map was stormy, so no need to worry about an eclipse! there ARE multiple coilheads and nutcrackers on this map though, I just got super lucky

@@mikesavard2144 Not a bug, I think the video poster mistakenly believes that challenge moon is a solo mode, which it is not and the patchnotes do not say it is a solo or multiplayer specific mode either. You can start a lobby just like any other moon and randoms can join it like any other lobby or you can make it a private lobby and play on your own/with friends.

yeah if I revisit this map I’ll definitely just run around and scout out the layout before coming up with an actual gameplan. The only goal with this run was to beat Nico’s score and I had the resources to do that from my first two runs, so I didn’t really need to explore here in order to perform. I’ll be a LOT more calculated with future runs though, including future challenge moons 👀 mostly just wanted to get a video up asap
