    Pleaaase paint more. Omg. They are both SO amazing. Jinx is still my favorite of the two pieces, but you did SO good with Vi!! And hey, thank you for being real. Not so say I'm happy you're struggling, but it feels good to know that someone as amazing and "famous" if you will, as you will elude to their own personal struggles. It makes you that much more relatable and personal. So yeah, again, thanks for being real. And know that we love and respect you and your needs❤

  • @WTF_IS_A_KILOMETER
    @WTF_IS_A_KILOMETER2 жыл бұрын

    The thing that I really like about the two paintings, is that the way you were a little lost and torn between using your art style and letting Gouache take part in Jinx's and the way you seemed more relaxed and controlled in Vi's. I feel like it, even though it wasn't necessarily intentional, it fits the character's really well. For Jinx, you can see that the art seems chaotic and crazy, much like Jinx herself. She's unhinged and unstable, and that's the kind of vibes I'm getting from the painting. The struggle between the perfection you wanted it to be and the freedom the medium wanted, I feel, symbolizes Jinx's struggle between wanting to forget Powder but yet she still gets visions of Vi and Milo using "Jinx" in a derogatory way. I also feel like the style shows how broken and torn she is between the two sides of herself. How it was hard for you to let go of your control and that became the thing messing you up is much like how Jinx wants to let go of Powder, but her visions keep reminding her. A big thing for Jinx is that she can't accept the reality of the situation. She couldn't let go of what was controlling her (Silco) enough to listen to other people. Instead, she let that control swallow her and she now ended up believing she was meant to be Jinx. For Vi, the style seems a bit more controlled, but free. You can see that you also started letting go of your control a bit more and let the medium lead where it wanted. For me, this symbolizes how Vi had to be stable. She was the threshold of her family and so she had to be a leader. I also think this symbolizes how she had to be willing to let go, too. For instance, she wasn't sure about Caitlyn in the beginning because she had been taught not to trust top-siders or enforcers. She had this mental image that all top-siders were rich snobs who didn't care about the people in the lanes. But much like you when you stopped trying to force what you wanted and started listening to the medium, Vi started to stop trying to force the mindset of "all top-siders are bad" and once she started listening to, and cooperating with, Caitlyn she was able to understand her better. Then, for a while, she let go of what she thought top-siders were like.

    This looks phenomenal. I really resonate with a lot of the ways you were talking about gouache. I paint minis and have found that when I try to force what I want the paints to do, I never end up happy with the result. I just kinda of have to let go, and almost "not care" like you said. Which is definitely somewhat uncomfortable, and it's not something I'm always great at doing, but man it makes my minis look so much better.

I pray that you can have inner peace & moments of joy contentment during during your difficult days. I'm always thrilled to welcome artists in to the world of watercolor. Oh my gouache! Excellent work. "Why fear it when we can master it?” (Jayce)

    Gouache is my favourite now too! It speaks to me and is easy to use as well! You can mix it with watercolours and use it mixed media. It also works on all papers as long as you adjust the way you use it. Try soft dollar store make up brushes! With a bit of practice soft blending (like oils) with gouache becomes easy!

    You are a painter ! You paint with gouache but also with markers. I think. This second painting with gouache is fabulous !! The colors, the strength that comes from it. Gorgeous. Thank you so much ADC for having created this beautiful art. Keep doing it ! Gouache, markers, pencils, evertything that sparks your flame. Keep at it ! You are awesome, Master ;) and yes, in art, there is no error. No right or wrong. Only what you feel and what you want to say. (Do you know the manga Blue Period ? Pika edition. Try it if no ! I do recommand it) take care ! Until next time o/ -Nini.
