My best tip to give to resellers just starting out is to list daily whether it’s 1 or ten consistently listing is sooooo key (it’s great for the algorithm and they will push your listings to more buyers). I’ve been reselling for around 3 years and never used to list daily until last year. I now list just 3 profitable items a day and am able to make around £900 profit a month which is great for me. EBay can be tough but consistency is key!

when i first started my ebay store i printed a bunch of thank you cards that said follow my store, and please leave feedback. That helped get me a good start, but the more you sell the faster the reviews start hitting.

The starting in summer months are really tough to start in. Stay strong with the waiting game. eBay has changed a lot.

To get more feedback, you buy regular items that you use and then you get feedback.

Hi, where do you buy your packaging material from? The boxes and bubble wrap?

Bubble wrap I just get from a shop near me but you can get it from a lot of little shops like I've even saw some in places like pound shops. But the boxes I can get from my dad's work, I don't buy those.

Research what’s trending today. See what people are actually buying in general from other eBay sellers. learn from the Solds. Don’t source blindly..

@5:00 You £50 loss. You are confusing cashflow with profit and loss. You are down on cash but you have £150 od stock which will (hopefully) be future sales. Cashflow is important, and at some stages in business is actually more important than profilt. Well done on using recycled boxes. Buying bubble wrap and envelopes from a retail outlet is by far the most expensive way of doing it. Better to bulk buy off Ebay or Amazon As you have discovered, storage space and a good stock management system is vital and often under appreciated by new sellers. And don't forget, that as you are running this as a business (purchasing stock with an intention to make a profit) you need to file for self assessment. The £1000 sales threshold is when Ebay will pass your details on to HMRC, but you need to get ahead of the game on that. Keep up the good work

Good hustle bud, for me it was the £1 to £10 rule, I used to love hunting in the charity shops/carboot and if I saw something that was a £1 but £5 on eBay I would get it, not thinking of the slice eBay would take and not forgetting postage. So my rule became buying better items say £7 looking to atleast 5x my return but more 10x if possible! Also another hack that made me £2 extra each time was looking for light items under 2.5cm width - that way they could be sent large letter! Instead of parcel, so media/collectibles, think zippos lighters/trading cards/ vintage collectible cassettes, Lego figures/coins! You’ll find your niche, if you know about something, idk, sport or something then start there! Keep up the good work!
