So. A little fun fact about the random "trash can" ornament being a thing- back in the day Disneyland used to have a "automated" trash can. It rolled around and talked to folk (controlled/"supervised" by a cast member a few feet away). It wasn't around very long but apparently was well liked.

Omg, I was at Disneyland when the Nemo ride first opened. It was a HUGE deal at the time. I remember my dad sprinting from the gates (right as they opened) to that ride. They even had cast members pointing people in the right direction (Just chanting “Nemo’s that way” 👈🏻) over and over. I learned never to underestimate the power of a dad who hates lines and crowds that day. I don’t think I’ve ever seen my dad move faster.

I'll be honest...I had no idea there was an abe lincoln attraction and I've gone atleast once every year for the full 18 years of my life

Ahem. One day my grandpa and mom and auntie were at Disney World (this was before I was born) and my grandpa needed to throw something in the trash. And he accidentally pushed on the wrong side. Years later, me and my mom always love to rub it in on him for no reason. Both us and him have that trash can ornament. So yes, those ornaments can be really important.

“ finding Nemo submarine” is my favorite ride 😢

The underwater ride was fun the only reason it is probably hated is because of how cramped it felt and in summer gets very warm

To anyone who hasn't been to Disneyland: The President's Hall is probably one of the best. While it's not a ride, it certainly teaches you about history. Also, it might just be that I'm a geek for history so it made me super excited ❤

Pretty sure the one at Disney world is called Hall of Presidents and the one at Disneyland is called Great moments with Mr Lincoln since it only features Lincoln

When I was a kid, and Disneyland was run by tge Disney family and was affordable, we used to go several times a summer. I used to love the old timey arcade with the shock machine and the silent movie viewfinder. I also loved the submarine ride. Couldn't beat Pirates, though. I could ride that forever.

Gotta admit, seeing a fucking robot of Lincoln is entertaining.

When I went to Disneyland we went on that finding Nemo ride and scared the crap out of me.

When I heard the word Submarine I taught the other Sub 💀

Dude, you just revealed the truth of my childhood, the first time I went to Disney I rode that Nemo ride, but for some reason I thought I rode that when I went to New York, I was 4 when I went to Disney, and 6 when I went to New York!

The Nemo ride traumatized me as a kid

Also they’ve definitely sold more than one of those Aladdin and Jasmine statues so it’s definitely not the least sold and the store isn’t even owned by Disney so can you call it a Disneyland item? Also double tea, he didn’t walk in and ask what the least sold item was, he asked what the most expensive item was.

Interesting to know Sid from toy story grew up to be a Disney adult.

Omg I’m not alone I also love the coral more than anything else in the ride, it feels like your in one of those super colorful aquariums from the early 2000s!

How is no one amazed that they are able to implement moving images under water? That and the physical sets and the realness of actually being in the water is reason enough to make the finding Nemo subs amazing

When I went there years ago these are great places to get away from the crowd and they are really fun enjoyment. My daughter enjoyed it my mother enjoyed it the whole family enjoyed it. It's a small attractions that makes Disney special and not some stupid other theme park. They just got to learn how to treat their employees better.

That last line caught me off guard 😂

What’s funny is that, that submarine ride is a literal core memory for me. I went to Disney land when I was like five but I remember none of the rides except this one, ngl I always thought it was a vivid dream until I saw this 😂

I always go to the hall of presidents when I need a break from all the people tbh. If you're at Disney World they have that and the carousel of progress. They're air conditioned, un-crowded, and you just get to sit down.

Early 70's i went on the ( at the time "Captain Nemo " ride). I had to have been 1st or 2nd grade. I loved that ride, cool quiet and no leaks yet. We didn't know about ADHD or being a introvert back then. Thanks for the ride Captain!

Submarine Voyage has always been my fav ride since childhood. Growing up I'll watch videos of the 14 min long ride over and over again. Hoping on a day I can go on it again. Its been 7 years and I've never gotten the chance to go on it.

The finding Nemo ride is one of my favorites 😅 I remember going to Disney land on my birthday during the 60th anniversary in 2015 (I got a cool anniversary hoodie that I still wear) and meeting a super fun family in the line for the finding Nemo ride, they are how I learned how to blow a bubble with gum 😊

Fun fact about the Lincoln animatronic, when they were originally testing him at the worlds fare, they invited the senator from Lincolns home state to see, well during the test a hydrologic line that creates the motion in the figure popped. The fluid was a orange amber color and he started leaking like he was shot in the chest and head. The senator turned to Walt and said “Mr Disney you have killed Lincoln for a second time.” Walt was very mad and they ended up changing the fluid to a clear break fluid.

the nemo ride saved me when i was by myself at disneyland for the first time and needed to quickly escape the fireworks (im sensitive to loud noises and fireworks have caused panic attacks before), so i can never hate the finding nemo submarine

I used to hang out a Disneyland 3 or 4 afternoons of the week coz it was the only place close we could go after school (community college). We always rode the least popular rides when lines got long elsewhere. So much more fun than waiting in line for 90 tedious minutes.

I love the Nemo ride. I remember when it first came out and the line was always so long for awhile. Might be nostalgic for me but I still love it. It's chill vibes yo
