If you could Narithium, please shoot me an e-mail at kelogsloops@gmail.com and we'll sort out an arrangement to get this board to you! To everyone who has participated and shared their stories, thank you so much! It's been so endearing and warming to read and hear from everyone, but most of all, to see so many people open up and share such vulnerable, deep intimate stories. I'm so thankful for you guys, and for this community, I mean it! Really, if I could give a thousand boards away to everyone as a thank you for your time, I would!!

I’ve always wanted to learn how to talk to people freely without overthinking. I’m a very shy person, and I cannot speak to people without overthinking of what they might think if I come up to them randomly. Usually when I talk to people about my struggle of being shy they just say “just speak to them” “it isn’t that hard” and don’t understand the true depth of my struggle. Even now, I struggle to talk to people freely, but I hope that one day, I can break this chain :)

I think that being thoughtful about your words is a virtue. I'm opposite. I've got the gift of gab and wind up saying things I shouldn't. Imo it's the anxiety that's got you down. Being comfortable in one's own skin is hard. 💜 people worth talking to will value you.

One of my core memories was a dark dusty evening that was backlit by neon street lights. It was pretty early into quarantine, so it was just me, my sister, and our best friend. My sister and friend skated ahead of me, laughing whenever they fell over and then got back up again. I had never understood why they would continue to get up again, after all, you’d have to be insane to do the same thing a hundred times and expect different results. A few weeks after that I had to leave, and due to quarantine restrictions I never got to say a proper goodbye. Over the past week I’ve started to skate, and I’ve begun to feel what my sister and friend must have felt that night. While my board is old and stiff, I seem to have found a new sense of joy in skating around dark streets that I imagine my friends would have felt all those months ago. I want to learn and grow as a skateboarder, if not for me, for the memory of that beautiful evening.

As a kid I when I first saw someone playing the piano in a concert I was like she's so cool I wanna be like her. So I asked my mom to let me learn how to play the piano, she agreed and I started to learn to play the piano. I kept playing for like 5-6 years it was very fun actually but then because of the pressure from some of my family members expectation for concert or piano competition I used to participate, play the piano stopped being enjoyable... I felt like suffercating under that pressure so gradually I quit. Now After years I still thought back about it and I think that its worth to try again so I picked up my past interest and practice to play the piano once more. It really nice to do something u used to love and I really like your vids have a nice day!

Hi everyone! For as long as I can remember I wanted to join the circus. My parents were not a big fan ofcourse, but they let me dance and do gymnastics, which was close enough for me then. I went to study theatre and dance at Uni, and I fell in love with circus all over again. A friend very recently introduced me to Aerial silk, a circus sport, on accident. This is when I found out I could actually practice circus in my home town while I never knew about it! I ended up writing my thesis on Cirque du Soleil and Aerial sports, and I am still a happy practitioner/ tryer of aerial silk :) - Love your art! X

I have always wanted to write stories. In my country, during middle school and high school (the equivalent at least) we are taught how to write essays. However, during the exams, we have the choice between writing an essay or a story. I would always choose the story and get a good grade but this has been lost after I got to university, no longer having the choice nor the time to do so. But recently, I made the very rash decision to write and post a short story of mine online. It got some positive feedback which encouraged me to write more in my free time. I'm even considering taking summer courses on story telling.

Don't give up and look up local groups in the type of writing you wish to do (horror, comedy, romance etc) You will learn so much from them and they often have free workshop. Your local library should also have a lot of books on the subject. I wish you all the best and look forward to read your stories :)

Everyone around me was learning the piano and the violin and the flute, but my parents didn’t have the financial means to buy me an instrument and let me learn, so all I could do was watch them play and occasionally ask them to teach me the basics. Now I am a student at university, and I plan on working part time to earn money. I am certain that one day, I will be able to afford an instrument and learn it myself! Also, I enjoy painting in my free time and i absolutely love your artwork! Your tutorials also help me so much in improving my skills! Thank you!

The sole reason I once, in what feels like forever ago, subscribed to you were those beautiful foxes from your 2017 watercolour show-slide. The subscription I made then was later reinforced by the breathtaking fox on the denim jacket of yours, and once again today. And I've always admired those foxes, I think they're just astonishing. After a too long time, I've finally picked up my own pencils and used some paper once more, at which I've tried to improve my own drawing in general, but there is one area in which I've never been able to make any progress. And you guessed it, it is in drawing foxes. Therefore I've finally worked up the courage to ask, where / how did you learn to draw those spectacular foxes of yours? (Thinking mainly of line-art) It just amazes me how you are able to create such marvellous beauties. Or would your recommendation be to dissect them, draw them piece by piece as well as work through and replicate your library of foxes? Otherwise, do you have any resources you would recommend? And one more question when I'm finally at it, do you have any recommendations to be able to think up those thumbnail-quick sketch-foxes, or is it something you'll get better at when you're more familiar at drawing them? I'm sorry for all of these questions, Best of love, from FoxPaw!

Flowers arrangement! For as long as I can remember, I've always had an appreciation for beauty, and I can never get over how delicate and ethereal flowers are, especially the white ones; calla lilies, white anemone, duchess peonies etc etc... Flowers are just the most majestic little delight the world has to offer, and I'm happily looking forward to my first class for flower arrangement this sunday! I have zero experience with the said topic, but the idea of arranging your own bouquet and/or vase of flowers is quite romantic, no? I do strive to open my own florist one day -- perhaps once I got sick of the biomedicine world? (Hopefully not! But I am definitely (and hopefully) making my dream come true someday!) 💕💕

I had always wanted to learn Greek! I loved foreign languages, but Greek mythology was always my passion as a kid, and I wanted to be able to read stories in Ancient Greek. However, I struggled with learning languages quite a bit because of my dyslexia. I took Spanish and could never quite wrap my head around it, and I thought foreign languages just weren’t for me. However, last year, with the encouragement of a professor, I enrolled in a course to learn Ancient Greek. It was hard, but I was so excited and passionate about it. I’m proud to say that I’m still learning and taking courses on Ancient Greek, and I’m so happy I decided to follow my passion and try something new and exciting!

I've always wanted to learn how to skateboard and longboard, but I grew up in the mountains so there really wasn't an area for me to learn. When I moved into the suburbs/city at 18 I bought myself a skateboard! And a longboard! I had a friend who helped me learn the basics, but I wasn't very good. I'm 24 now, and I'm still not very good, but I can get from point A to point B! I don't know how to do any tricks and I don't really care to learn any, I just enjoy cruising around. Night cruises like you and your friends do is something I did with my friends too! It's so relaxing and fun to ride around on a warm night on a board and a great way to see friends while also being responsible and socially distancing given the current situation.

Growing up, other girls in my class wanted to be doctors, athletes or astronauts... I aspired to be a mechanic. I've always wanted to learn how to fix cars and motorbikes and although my life didn't exactly turn out that way, it is something that I want to be able to do by the time I'm 35. Your working process is so therapeutic and satisfying to watch. I can completely relate to your falling back in love with your art, it is so reassuring to be reminded why we pursue our passions in the first place. I hope you feel a renewed inspiration to create more of what you love in the future :)

When I was in high school I wanted to learn how to longboard dance! I felt that it's best to learn new things when you're young but I never did because I was scared of looking like a complete newbie and that to me was embarrassing. I was scared of people staring and laughing at my failures that I never started, I didn't want to practice in public. I ended up buying a small penny board thinking once I master riding it then I can move up to a longboard and learn dance moves. Unfortunately, my fear of not knowing how to do something and scared of public scrutiny cut that dream short. But as I grew older I started to outgrow that mindset and realized that the people that judge you only have as much power as you give them. And so last fall during the pandemic I decided to work towards my original goal without any detours, I got a longboard. It was the best decision I've made, I've been having so much fun learning new dance moves on the board and I am no longer afraid of skating in public! I realized that learning new things is so much fun and I shouldn't let what other people think stop me from trying out new things or make me shy about it!

When I was younger, I wanted to be able to learn my family's native languages (Vietnamese, Mandarin and Cantonese). But growing up as a child of immigrants in the UK, I learned to slowly distance myself from those languages and culture as I was raised in a predominantly white country. I felt embarrassed being different from everyone I encountered and not having a parent that could help me with my English homework. My experience growing up as a minority made me resent the way I was. Therefore, I still find it difficult to hold a conversation with my mum or my extended family (especially my grandparents) as it consists of broken English/Chinese. I'm currently 21 and I'm learning how to read, write and speak Mandarin while doing my design degree. Once I'm finished with Mandarin, I will continue to learn the other two languages. My grandparents are getting older and I want to tell them how much they mean to me before they pass away. I'm excited to be able to hold a conversation with them.

Growing up I’ve always wanted to learn how to code and program things on a computer. For a while it was just a dream of mine because I never had an opportunity. When I was in middle school I was put in a class that taught me basics and I mean BASICS lol. The class didn’t really give us much challenge and instead gave up some pretty simple puzzles. Moving on, I still had this fascination with computers and technology and around this time I learned that my school district had a career academy that you can go to for your last two years of high school AND they have a program called Cyber Security! They will teach all kinds of things like troubleshooting and network design processes. I was super nervous at first because you had to apply and they would either accept or reject you. Virtual learning was kinda hard for me and my grades showed it and that’s why I was so hesitant at first but my friend kept telling me that I was a good enough student that I’d have a good chance at getting in. So I listened to her and after a while I lost hope and had already come to terms with the possibility that I might not get in which was really sad usually I’m optimistic. I wake up one day and I’m just sitting on the couch and I look to my left and I see an opened letter and I’m like dang is that from the career academy?! So I read it and it was an acceptance letter!!🥳 I remember running to my grandma and I was like LOOK LOOK THEY ACCEPTED ME! She looked scared at first lmao she told me she thought I seen a spider the way I came yelling and jumping around 😂😂 but I’m happy to say for the next two years I will be learning stuff I’ve been wanting to learn for years and the cool thing about this is that I can get college credits from this which is so awesome and I’m so excited wooo!😆😆

Today, I finish my school curriculum to become a game developper. 3years of studies and finally had an art test for Behaviour Interactive: my aspiration as a game artist is now to have my place there or somewhere I can produce graphic game content. As a child, I would never imagine I would be one of the futures creators of tomorrow's games. I think my hidden childhood dream was to be able to make some of these games i loved when i was a child, and in fact, even today, I cannot believe it ! Thanks for this opportunity, I loved your watercolor's artworks for a long time now, and to add more details: Foxes are my favorites animals ! (heya Juniper Fox)

Such a relaxing video! As a kid I wanted to learn how to play the piano. My dad used to be a musician and we had all kinds of instruments at home, along with a small piano. However my dad had stopped playing the instruments before my birth. I had no guide and the textbooks from my dad were too difficult for me to understand. I was only in grade school. Back then there was no internet or tutorials online either, so I didn't know how to learn it, but I tried to play it by just hearing it for many years. After a while, with little to no progress, I just stopped and to this day I still feel sad about not having a proper opportunity to learn it. Now its easier with all the online help, however as a student with part time jobs and part time artist I don't have the time to pick it up at all.. sometimes I want to wipe the dust off of it and start learning it again, however my assignments for university are piled up and the work for my freelancer jobs.. Im still hoping that I'll be able to pick it up someday when life isn't so stressful. On the bright side I've started drawing around 3 years ago, which was one of my goals as well :)

That's SO cool! Well, in my case, it's not so much as "learning" as in "developing". I've always loved drawing, but somewhere in my teens I switched hobbies and started playing guitar. Slowly I lost interest at drawing but never at what inspired me. During last year's quarentine I bought, by impulse, and online course for drawing illustrations using ink and watercolor... and it's the best thing I could've done for myself! I've been drawing everyday since, and I'm really excited that I'm finally been able to lay down the images I have in my head. I even let go of my insecurities and started sharing some of my art on Instagram, hoping to inspire more people who, like me, might've stopped somewhere in their lives, or just think that drawing is too hard. Your art has been part of this process to me, and for that, I'm very thankful!

I came to this video because my bf asked me to paint something on his new skateboard knowing that I love art (even though I’m not good at it). Second, you’re not only do you have an amazing skill set in art, but you’re also a great story teller! And your voice makes it even better. And lastly, I love how you incorporated a bit about you and your story around skateboarding but also how you found yourself in a repeated state of mind and how you got out of it, like doing something different and getting put of your comfort zone. That’s something that a lot of us struggle to do, and seeing that it happens to others is helps get us out of that state. Anyway, thank you for creating not only a beautiful piece of art but also for uploading it. You’ve got a new subscriber!

I- I've always wanted to be amazing at so many things. In everything that I couldn't do, I felt a passion to strive to be better in hopes people would see me for my capabilities. This constant pressure definitely took a toll on me, as I'd base my self-worth on my achievements. Recently I found myself going down a loophole; Something I'd want to master and having no motivation or thinking that I'm unworthy or too untalented to do it. That constant cycle of bad feelies made me feel depressed. I thought I had to be some child prodigy or millionaire by a certain age or I'd be a disappointment. But, I started really paying attention to the world, instead of looking at standards and reading into judgements, I started looking at the people around me. I realized that even though I wanted to be extremely successful, above all else I just wanted to be happy. For the first time, I realized that people would accept me for me and not just look at me for what I can and can't do. I still have so many things I want to do in this world, so many things to try. But first I really understand what I should want to do and that's loving myself, something that everyone should do. :)

Honestly, I never had a strong desire until I started seeing videos (TikTok ahaha) of skateboarding, to want to try it myself. My family had one when I was younger, probably much too young to be skating so it created a fearful barrier in me between dangerous activities done in the park, like skating etc. With covid going around and just breaking up with my boyfriend, I needed something new. A change in pace, a challenge for me to learn and overcome by myself, so I picked up a skateboard my dad bought (as an early birthday present) and I started cruising around. It felt amazing. It felt like my own weapon to carry around and show off or a new language to learn and explore, I could see and feel myself getting more and more comfortable and improving. Sadly, I've dropped it for a while now because I started uni, none of my friends skate or are interested and being a girl skating around by myself feels awkward but this video definitely brought back some of the spark I had before. I hope I can find the time to bring it back into my life slowly. :)) p.s. It's a lovely work, with the contrasting colours, beautiful pink flowers and gold accents, I'd honestly be too scared to even skate on that deck cause I'd scratch it. Then again, the scratching and scraping of decks just make them more characteristic and personalised, showing that love for skateboarding which is pretty sick imo.
