Thank you for sharing a video on this tool. There are people who are disabled and live with chronic illness in which a tool like this can help Black Disabled girls maintain their independence in doing their own hair. It’s necessary for folks to think outside of themselves and not deem tools like this as “lazy.” Thoughts like that are considered ableist.

So true!! this is why I need this tool!! I can’t twist or braid my hair and I’m tired of asking my mom to do it , I know she doesn’t mind but it would be great just to do it on my own.

It really seems like you’re just trying to be offended. No one is being “ableist” by saying it’s a lazy product because no one’s first thought is about disabled people using this product. They’re saying it’s lazy because in lots of cases this can be done by hand. In the case of disabled people, it’s great that this product can help them twist their hair independently but no one is actively trying to shit on them in any way, shape, or form. Being ableist would mean you think your better than someone with a disability and make fun of them for things beyond their control. No one in this comment section is doing that.

I normally wouldn’t buy a hair product with a white woman on it, usually that lets me know that it wouldn’t work for my hair texture. Then, there are products that display two to three different models of different races. I feel more confident buying those products. I have thick 4C hair, I can’t use a product that’s meant for a Caucasian woman with straight hair. No one is being a Karen, it’s just the way it is.

I saw this video about 3 a.m. cause I couldn't sleep. It's my 1st time seeing you, little sister. I think I'll like your content! New subbie here! I decided to check out the comments and saw this one. I was getting pretty irritated while caring for my hair also. I mean no disrespect to this little sister by my comment andmentioning someone else. I just want to help the person that wrote this comment. My wash day totally changed when I accidentally ran up on Kim's Curl Mix Wednesday wash day videos on Facebook! Now I'm po' a**ed since I retired, I can't afford her products, but her method works! I had to find products that worked together. 1st by testing them. Then, I tried those products using her method! Happiness! My wash HOUR, YEP....HOUR, for the week turned into bliss when she gave her husband a tip on improving his W&G! Apply it in smaller sections, insuring all the strands have adequate product! Plus, once you apply the gel, don't touch it again to disturb the curl pattern and create frizz!!!! I have sisters stopping me, even at the drive thru window to ask questions about my hair! I'm pretty old! I hadn't seen my natural hair in so long that I forgot what it looked like. I relaxed it back in maybe 1980. Heck, it could be 1970s! Corona made me big chop. Anyway, I'm pleased as punch with it now! Hopefully, I helped you. I'm not going back to relaxing! Before you two fight (hair), reach out if you have questions. I'll help, if I can. I'm sure there are other people on here too that will help. Just ask us.
