    As someone with over 1k hours of CSGO, I would say that the most vital skill you'll pick up is combat IQ without relying on utilities. This includes knowing when to spray, when to burst, when to tap, to knowing how to peek properly, hold angles, which fights you should take etc. CSGO is the prime training ground for these skills imo because it doesn't bombard you with a load and variety of abilities and agents.

    I recommend yprac aim trainer, it’s basically aim lab but inside csgo. I usually have the feeling that aim labs seems kinda off to my actual settings and it translates well to valorant since it is just aim movement. While I don’t think doing deathmatch on csgo would translate well on valorant since movement matters so much, maps like aimbotz or yprac help a crap ton, definitely recommend even for valorant

    6:17 "confidence is key" when instarted playing cs like 6-7 years ago now I watched warowl and the one video that hit me was when he said "Confidence = Competence" changed my way of looking at how I played the game. Once you're able to confidently aim and play the game you'll make plays without having forethought, tap heads through smoke based off intuition. If you want to be good at the aim mechanics of valorant csgo is definitely a learning tool imo. Mosts deaths you have should tell you something you did wrong, try not to get tilted and th flow state will come

  • @celestialcolosseum
    @celestialcolosseum Жыл бұрын

    Yeah cs aim helps a lot, the mistakes you do in cs is really punishing so you always need to go for guaranteed shots rather than just spraying in general direction of the enemy. It teaches a lot about trigger discipline. When my friends invited me to play valorant i gave it a shot and i kid you not i was getting like 30-35 frags each game with only going for taps, i never sprayed until it was like 2m away from enemies since it's kind of a gamble. I didn't know about abilities as well so they caught me off guard sometimes lol. For anyone who plays like this and doesn't spray, try playing some csgo you'll definitely improve your aim.

    Definitely. But I feel like its more like, csgo has more versatile community maps that helps with these types of aim training, when valorant still or maybe wont have any community based maps to help with these. Aimlabs definitely help but aimlabs definitely does more justice to train flicking rather than tracking etc.

    Nice strategy, tbh. I would also recommend playing some competitive just to get the hang of how rounds are played in a regular 5v5 setting. I think playing SnD rounds in CSGO will help with making better decisions mid round in Valorant as well. I think a much underrated factor of practicing aim is the pure mechanical side of it. Artists practice drawing lines and shapes, musicians practice scales and arpeggios. When they draw a picture or perform a piece of music they can make all the necessary movements with the fingers and arms fluidly because they have practiced the basic motions. Something as simple as just practicing moving your reticle from point to point, or tracing the outlines of shapes, the same way an artist practices drawing lines and shapes, will improve the mechanical skill of aiming itself. It will teach your brain exactly how to move your arm and fingers in order to adjust your aim from one point to the next, the same way a musician learns exactly the motions necessary to play a sequence of notes so well they can sight read a piece of music they have never heard before, or play a piece they know well blindfolded. Of course, you probably can’t play an FPS blindfolded, but I’m sure you get the point.

    I think it helps to be punished by the 10k hours DM players in CS (it's aim instantly or die instantly), aswell as the in-depth training maps of cs. If Riot gave us the tools to make our own aim maps I'm positive it could be a better training tool, but with how established the map creation scene in CS is it's hard to beat it.
