Amazing video and dog, I just wondered why during the revolver attack Freddy attacks the leg and not the arm holding the revolver? Only asking because I don’t know anything about the sport!

Thank you French Ring is not designed for real life protection. This is simply to test the dog’s nerve around gunfire, not an actual threat of a gun. They bite the legs primarily bc the decoy is attempting to evade and dodge the dog to take points. One leg will always be on the ground no matter what which makes a sure target. Launching up at the arms makes it much easier for the decoy to dodge them and steal their points 🙏🏼

What is the bamboo sticks for? I can see people thinking its gonna hurt the dog. Is it just for a tactile distraxtion?

Yes, it does not hurt the dog but rather creates opposition from the decoy. In the upper levels in can also be used to help dodge the dog on entries 🙏🏼

Hey hey - I can’t make it to the livestreams anymore because of my work schedule, can someone please ask Andy in the next one for me if he has any recommendations for ear protection for dogs with large stand up ears? A lot of reviews I’ve seen for dog ear protection say they don’t work for dogs with stand up ears. My dog isn’t reactive to loud noises but I want to protect her hearing (our house is across the street from the fireworks display in our city - it sounds like a war zone) I go through and watch the vids in bulk on my days off. I would be very grateful ❤

I was awesome Freddy. I have one question the revolver attack how come it’s trained to attack the legs. If that was a real scenario they’d be able to shoot the dog how come it’s not trained more to go for the hands for the revolver I don’t know might be a dumb question but I thought I’d ask yeah that dog doing awesome man good job.🎉
